Part 1 - Making Apricot Brandy

This is the easiest and most delicious way to use extra fruit - especially Apricots, and that is to make Homemade Brandy! This recipe comes from my Grandma and I estimate it to be approx 60 years old. Here it is:
Apricot Brandy
2 cups Apricots, include halved apricots, with pits and skins
2 cups sugar
1 quart Vodka
Put in a food grade container, stir once and then cover and put in a dark cook place for one month. Strain and enjoy!

    I am so glad that enjoyed this Brandy! This was a recipe that my grandma handed down in the family. Sure I would be happy to give you some ideas. I have a drink I make from either canned or drunken apricots that I mix with the brandy and ice (I have a Margaritaville concoction maker but I am sure you can use a blender) to make a really good apricot smoothie, and then the other thing I like to do is make a bread or cake like banana bread or rum cake and add the drunken apricots to that as well. I will be making something like that over the Christmas holiday so stay tuned and thank you so much for watching and trying my recipe!!

    @@homesteadpatch8663 What do you think of make a cake and adding chopped up drunk apricots to the mix? I am not much of a baker so don't want to mess it up!

    @@truthseeker644 well i have put them in sweet breads at the holidays so i think it would be fine. Just make sure to drain iff as much liquid as possible. The fruit will still be soaked in the alcohol but try nit to add any additional liquid and i think it will be good. Good luck! Let me know hoe it comes out 👍

    Looks tasty but it's NOT brandy. That's more an apricot cordgle
