I just bought 8 cases of various frozen meats AND cleaned out, inventoried and organized my stand up freezer. I found 4 corn on the cobs in my freezer. This corn chowder okks like a great way to make creamy corn soup base. I took out and used 4 meals I had made that were at the "deadline" 3 months I like to have items used that are in my freezers. Im a tuna mac n cheese girl myself. I add a bag of broccoli and cauliflower mix to it.

I found a random shopping list, from I don’t know when……I went through the club and found some great recipes that I made out of my pantry for some of the elderly neighbors I have…it’s so much fun cleaning out a few things and feed my neighbors a win for us both As for the tuna casserole. I prefer elbow macaroni but hubby likes egg noodles

Okay, this took me right back to my Grandparents' late Spring garden(I live in the Idaho mountains) and we were all so excited for the peas to finally be ready to pick. I would sit on the front porch with my Grandma and shell peas while my Grandpa would go dig up some new potatoes(little red potatoes). The sweet peas and creamy little red potatoes were so good together! Thank you for all the pantry ideas most of them were meals growing up 😄and I didn't realize that they would freeze so well.

Christie here: I remember sitting on our back porch, shelling peas and getting sunburned on one side of my body because the sun had crept around the side of the house and we were focused on our task and didn't realize! I hadn't thought of that in _years_. Isn't it funny the things that jogs one's memories? Thanks for watching!

I love this video. I try to use up what I have made, what's in the pantry and freezer or what is going to go bad soon. I made a great pasta casserole today with leftover pasta. I want to make it a freezer meal. I will be looking into the Club to see your recipes and how you do these ingredients. Thank you!

I’m really excited about this. I have so many random pantry items that need a meal to go into. Also, I do use the bullion paste as well as kitchen bouquet.

my mom made tuna noodle and cheese for family dinners when I was a kid (long, long ago!!) and so I made it for my family. but we are vegetarian so it was just noodles and cheese (and mushroom soup of course!) but it was always called "tuna noodles and cheese." it is so funny to me that one grand daughter asked for it for her birthday dinner and even the other grands call it tuna noodles and cheese and I don't think they even know what a "tuna" is!!!

Tuna casserole is one of my favorite comfort meals. And we always make it with macaroni. We love the Better than bouillon, so much flavor. Maybe you need to use a little more. I think it says 1 tsp per cup of water but I use a spoon you eat with.

I agree with you on the Better Than Boulion! I hear it’s the best thing since sliced bread but for me, it lacks flavor. And I can never tell if it’s enough so I end up adding a regular cube of actual bullion! So glad you said that.

Christie here: it is a thing to behold. Haha. And because we shop in bulk/caselot so often, there *may* be more than one pantry. Or cupboard. Or shelving unit. Or space on the floor beside the shelving unit. Or... you get the picture. Someday, if we ever consolidate it, maybe we'll show you!

We use the Better than Bullion from costco all the time, but I use more than it calls for. I think it says 1tsp I actually use an eating teaspoon not a measuring teaspoon, so much more flavour!! I make French onion soup with this all the time!!

Great video. My Mom (84) just keeps adding and adding to her Pantry to the point where she stacks cans on the floor!! Drives me crazy. My Step Dad bought her some totes for her bags of beans and rice. I have never seen her open one Tote in 10 yr.s! She just buys more and stacks them somewhere else! I'm going to have to sedate her if she continues!! Food issues, you say? Yes! Both of them. I cleaned the entire thing out for her 10 yr.s ago. They both freaked out and quickly overflowed it again. I can't control her mind set. Or his. I do not share these food issues.

My mum is somewhat the same. The buying anf the having of the food is more important than the eating. You can think of it as a comfort blanket for them and move on. Or see if there is some barrier down the road with the cooking and the eating. For my own parents it was a bit of both

It's hard to change your ways when there have been times in your life when you have possibly faced food insecurity. I'm making an assumption here, but that's my guess. It's comforting to them. It's a tough one to deal with! Hugs to you!

My kids "hate" tuna...but love tuna noodle casserole... but shhhh I may tell them it's chicken! And I'm wirh christie...I'll BUY egg noodles, butttt totally have made it with elbows too! ( fun fact... dollar tree sells 2 pound boxes of elbows for 1.25) so those on a budget can stretch their budget if need be!

I got thinking about it and I wanted to show you this frugal video we did recently: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gZqXw9umY6Wplag.html 24 Meals for $35. That would cover you for almost the full month and feel a family, so I guess we could do it after all! I don't know where you are located, but here in Canada, groceries have always been more expensive than in the US. The $35 is in Canadian grocery prices. With some planning, some coupons and hitting the right sale items, it's totally do-able.
