I haven’t tried the Mississippi Pot Roast yet, though now I plan to. I’m single, and was concerned about spending so much on an intriguing recipe that I wasn’t sure I’d like, and having nobody to help eat it. I found a variation using chicken that was tasty! Sub chicken gravy for the au jus. I thought of Sharla not eating beef and thought I’d share. I’m really enjoying your cooking for one videos. You two are always so entertaining, I love when you digress and share funny stories. 😊

Those meals look so flavorful and you have such a nice variety! I'm glad you two girls have each other, your husbands have each other, and your kids have each other. And sounds like an ideal neighborhood to raise a family. Wishing you and both of your families ontinued blessings from Texas ❤🙏

You two are very lucky to have each other. My kids also grew up in a neighborhood where most of the kids were in the Catholic school so it was a great place to be a kid. My state has winters but I’d rather be in Canada and cold all the time. Hate hot tubs. I don’t freeze as much as you do but I’ve gotten some good ideas and so much has been helpful. Your very helpful.

For the breakfast cookies, any dried fruit should work. Larger ones get a quick whiz in the food processor or blender. I'd be tempted to double the dried fruit. Then after baking serve 2 with a scoop of ice cream and you have a more healthy dessert.

I just love that you are thinking about families of all sizes. These can be so fantastic. Maybe you cook for an elderly person, or someone who just got out of a Hospital. AND Don't forget about yourself! You need food too! LOL I want those Breakfast Cookies! Yes, I do. You two really are Freezer Meal Queens- and it looks good on you! And please do mention Air Fryer options as I want to get one - for my lunches!

No more Pyrex? My favorite measuring cups are Pyrex! I grew up with CorningWare. Oh, sorry, off-topic. I love your videos! And we go hot tubbing here in Vegas as well! Always a fun time

Maybe they'll turn a corner, but it doesn't sound good. Fingers crossed! Las Vegas is the last place I would think about hot tubbing! LOL. Winter hot tubbing is my favourite. It's too hot in the summer. I can't imagine in Vegas!

Cranberries can replace raisins very nicely, too.

The dill pickle soup looks good. I bought a small sample bottle of a dill pickle vodka. No good! But everything else dill pickle sounds great

My daughter and I saw a tub of spicy dill pickle flavoured cotton candy at a candy shop one time. We had to try it and it was as bad as it sounds! Lol. Normally, I like dill pickle anything too, but I guess even I have my limits. hahaha

This is the recipe we use (though we add more dill, more pickle juice, and more pickles and we add additional chopped pickles after we blend it to give it that crunch!): noblepig.com/dill-pickle-soup/

Do you think it would be feasible to batch cook and then freeze them into serving sizes? I ask this because I want to meal prep to lose weight but I don't want to eat the same thing 5 days in a row

Christie you blew my mind - Corelle is dying! NO, NO, NO! I have lived with it since I970 - when it was invented! I had to pause this video to google availability. I don't NEED any right now but eventually some will break. So, for anyone like me - WALMART has it on roll back right now. I've ordered 10 assorted pieces for my collection. My hedge against old age and becoming even more clumsy! And now following my PSA, back to the regularly scheduled programming - resume video!

If the government can bail out banks and car manufacturers, maybe Corelle can be bailed out too! lol Tupperware was at risk of closing their doors earlier this year but the public rallied and their stocks shot up 700%. Keep watching! Maybe they'll turn a corner!
