They should have connected to the tow loop on the front bottom of the ski.

Towing from a high attach point is never a good idea. The bow eye is best.

They could have attached the line to the bow eyelet instead of the handlebars. Such a rookie move. Then after they flipped it, at least flip it back. And change where your tied to. Physics 101.

Well they are in the inlet and it could have been a decent amount of traffic that day and then count on them drifting toward shore already. So just attach it where you can as fast as possible and then get it better secured and flipped when you are able to not have to worry about other people, boats, and rough waters. Safety 101

No matter what, towing the wave-runner wouldn't end well. A wave-runner could been towed but using a side tow.

The fact the rider afixed the line to steering console instead of to the bow eyelet is proof of total incompetence. Also the fact the skipper of the boat kept towing the flipped ski is proof of total incompetence.

That Viking looks pretty darn nice! The hull design cuts through the waves like butter ... Classic at its best!

Maybe she was worried about her stuff falling out of the storage compartment and losing her phone!

Pontoons belong on inland lakes.

So much variation in competence and awareness. A competent captain comes in totally calm and expertly navigating the inlet and wearing his life preserver contrasted with incompetent captains and crews risking life and limb without a life preserver in sight??!!

Why didn't they tie into the bow tow point??

I'd have been hopping around too. A sunk jetski cost us over a grand to fix when a friend flipped it and it flooded. They should have righted it if possible. Dragging it like that will definitely cost her, especially if it's a rental.

Why do people insist on towing those things from the handle bars? There is a tow point in front.

In most of these videos i noticed they start giving life jackets only when boat is sinking, in one of the videos a dog had a life jacket and the kids didn't have them on 🤣

If everything on that Seadoo is sound and intact, towing it like that won't hurt anything. They are designed to handle being flipped.... I know, did it many times! Flipped it back over, climb back on and continue riding. There's a reason they come with an upside down decal on the back that tells you which direction to roll it back over.

hmm yes i get that. They are designed to roll over ok. But are they designed to be towed like that? I can imagine that causing some kind of damage.

Holding on to that bimini frame aint gonna do a whole bunch when ya hit a decent wave.

Money doesn't equate to brains

Jetski engine problem is easy to solve. Like most engines, pull the spark plugs, suck out the water, then flush the oil until you get the milkshake out of it. Then run it for 30 seconds if that and then change the oil again and repeat until you get all oil. That also goes with fixing the original problem but everything else on the jetski is designed to get soaked and be wet and in weather. That thing is still fine. However, anyone watching anything that they have get ruined will always look way worse in the moment so being upset at the situation is just fine

Don't worry about the jetski worry about your life things can always be replaced but you can't

My favorite is the 47 foot us coast guard surf motor lifeboat and the other one is the us naval academy yp boats as well that is my kind of yacht at anytime

You never tow from the handlebars, thats why there is a ring low to the front on the hull

They do tow well. When you tow the. CORRECTLY. The tow eye in the front of the ski is for surprise! TOWING. the handle bars are NOT

Just like some people should drive….some people shouldn’t be allowed to pilot watercraft.

The first set of boaters trying to help the jetskier should not be on the water. They are absolutely clueless. They just destroyed a jetski out of stupidity.

take out the spark plugs and purge all the water, change the oil, new battery and the ski should be okay. if not, talk to my lawyer
