Another case of Miami more dollars than sense. They left the fenders out, and more egregiously, chose to buy this vessel, proving once again you can't buy class.

Surfing in is way easier than going out, especially on that side of the channel, but yes, that was calm cool and collected. Compare that to the Vanquish in the same conditions, pretty clear that there's still a right and wrong way to do it. Gotta love the full send midnight express bros though, that hull design really loves being on plane in those conditions, and sure it's going to be bumpy, but only for a little while at 30kts lol.

@@jttech44His goal is not to surf. When you surf, that's when the bow can get stuffed really hard and it's likely to roll. Especially when it's steep and the period is short.

@6:24 The GB 60 is one of the best looking boats I've seen in a long while. Faux planked hull, mahogany transom, tumble home, free board and flare. Classic lines.

that last entry was the smoothest one i've seen!

The D50 looks to me like it should be trying to reach the beaches of Normandy

I don't even boat down there and I know enough to know that you don't go thru the middle...The middle is a washing machine...The sides are much smoother...

The mystery yacht looks like a happy teddy bear from the front. I don't hate it :D Also it seemed to do pretty well... until the cushion flew.

That D50 is probably a really nice boat, for a lake. Absolutely not suited for bluewater at-all, regardless of how they rate it, the hull is absolute trash for that kind of environment. Sure the captain could have done better, but ultimately, that bow wants to dig, and 'doing better' is really just "keep it in the channel", instead of humiliating yourself trying to punch through hallover.

The big yacht that flipped it's cover was an Astonda. I don't know the model.

Small boat did okay. I usually put bow cover on my 19 ft boat and put inflatables for brace underneath. Oh, and close the darn windsheild door!!!

That D50 looks badass!! But that design doesn’t seem to be as stable side to side, and nothing to push the waves off the bow seems like it would get annoying.

Before you identified the grey one, I was wondering which navy was running that one. As it came closer I started looking for the guns it was carrying. It barely got above 70 today in Palm Springs. It's been cool lately with successive storms coming down from the north. El Nino.

Cool footage as usual. It’s fun to see a big yacht come plowing through after seeing other good size boats bounce around. I grew up on a 19’ Carlson Glaston jet 455 olds. Later built 455 and pump from a drag boat .. way better unit except not much for reverse. Still have it.

I don’t know why he thinks that windshield is a grab rail!

I have asked this before, but get no answers, why do these skippers go straight out through the middle of this inlet. You can see how calmer on the sides of the intet are and when you clear the end of the rock wall, turn left or to port, crazy people.

Half these people look like first time boaters!

In Cub Scouts I carved a boat outta Bar of Soap that looked just like that Boat. De Antonio D50 is that a real boat?!!

Guys in the first boat almost ate the windshield...that's not a stnd up helm...not sure why people stand like that or think it's safe...boats have no passive safety (padding)...seen many with fat lips, knocked out teeth and head wounds from this...
