Jazakallah khair for correcting Dr. Shadee Al Masry regarding Assim Al Hakeem. In fact Sh Assim Al Hakeem spoke many atimes in favour of Palestinians during this conflict. When someone asked will rulers be accountable for not helping, he replied everyone who were capable of doing something and didn’t do it will be held accountable. Saying such a statement in present day KSA is equivalent to stating 10000 statements in the US. May Allah bless you all and preserve you all

Salaam all, Both speakers have not well-prepared. No disrespect. It is a good idea to have some notes beforehand. For example, Dr Shadee says he doesn't know the latest news in Gaza, Palestine, and he knew he's talking Palestine. And Hamza stumble on the book recommendation. Important clarification! Assim Al Hakeem did speak out against Israel and was vocal of his support for Palestine. He told us we should support Palestine and even Hamas even if they differ or have issues in Aqeedah. He also is for boycotting but maintains it is up to personal preference. He is getting shadow banned on instagram and has created multiple back up accounts because he spoke up on this issue. He even shares stories on his insta regarding Palestine and also posted a video where he made dua for them. So please with all due respect, retract your statement on Assim Al Hakeem.

Ibn taymiya is not salaf

You try and explain why evil and suffering is happening Hamza but these are just coping mechanisms as there isn't a rational or reasonable explanation for the atrocities, its just a mindset and no different to other mindsets out there, Islam doesn't present anything unique regarding this matter, I personally think Islam confuses things more by saying this is a test but the outcome is already apparent to G-d, makes no sense and it a placebo to deal with the evil that's out there.
