I'm with you. And respect and love from Indonesia, too!
An excellent discussion, we need more panel discussions like this between our ulama and activists.
What Dr. Shadee said before he left insanely on point. Those on the coast are starting to lean more right and my buddies in the south have already seen the evils of the right. Interesting to say the least.
Salam from Melbourne. May Allah SWT reward you immensely for your work and contribution, Ameen.
Masha’Allah what a baller podcast episode, thanks @MahinThePodcaster

Amazing points, wish everyone could watch it and digest it. Something that's gotta be noted and rewatched a few times.
Assalaam Alaikum. Long overdue subject. Political involvement is important to save our lives, protect our future, rights, dignity.
Brilliant discussion, pertinent points, good example of scholars and activists coming together for the sake of Allah (swt). Loved the ending of mutual respect and brotherhood. May Allah (swt) reward all the brothers and sisters who work sincerely for this beautiful Dīn. Āmīn
This sort of dialogue is so valuable for Muslims in the west
May Allah reward YQ and Mahin for their efforts!
Love this much needed talk.
JZK, another humble request for a tafweedh library chat.
Yasir Qadhi....I truly enjoy your thinking , I wait for your lectures. I believe we need you in this ummah. Allah bless you endless in both worlds. Ameen
Looking forward to watching this
May Allah protect and reward our sincere community leaders.
Alhumdulillah that Allah has given you all such eloquence to speak so clearly on such difficult topics. I pray one day the mainstream ummah is able to have these discussions with the same love and respect InshaAllah
I hope the likes of Daniel haqiqatjou will sincerely consider this conversation and be fair and just
Interesting conversation. Thanks for sharing.
Maashaa Allaah, great discussion. This is beneficial to our community, Muslims
Maasha Allah Tabaarakallah! YQ hardly dissappoints

DEAR RESPECTED SCHOLAR DR. YASIR QADHI. ASSALAAM ALAIKUM. MAY ALLAH BLESS YOU FOR ALL THE WORK YOU ARE DOING. I WANT TO SAY ONE THING. THE SCHOOL OF THOUGHT YOU USED TO FOLLOW BEFORE. THIS SCHOOL HAS CREATED A LOT OF PROBLEMS, RIFT, CONFUSION, HATRED IN THE COMMUNITY. I AM REALLY GLAD YOU HAVE TAKEN A DIFFERENT APPROACH. MAY ALLAH PUT BARAKA IN ALL YOUR EFFORTS. I REALLY HOPE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO PULL OUT THE FOLLOWERS OF THAT SCHOOL OF THOUGHT AND TRY TO PERSUADE THEM TO BE TOLERANT, RESPECTABLE TOWARDS THE DIFFERENCE IN OPINION. JAZAAKALLAHU KHAIRAN.
Jazakhallah khairan
Nice one
Love you for the sake of Allah my brothers ❤️
Assalamu Alykum WRWB from Nottingham Uk
Now THIS is Islamic scholarship at its finest and in action
What YQ said regarding Masalih and Mafasid is not as he said, Masalih/Mafasid or to be specific 'Masalih Mursala' is not a Shari' source that is agreed upon, some accepted this in the past, some didn't...and there is no Qati' (conclusive) evidence to back up such source of Shariah Even if we take it as a source, 'Maslaha' is not determined from reality or mind, rather Maslaha is where the Shar'ah lies, and anything other than Shari'ah is considered 'Mafsada' and Muslim should not have anything to do with that reality even if they would loose a short term gain, Hom.sexu.lity or such vices are part of Western Secular Liberalism and toning down our voice against such vices are just a means to opening the door of acceptance of Liberalism slowly and gradually and integrating ourselves with the Western way of life....and that is against the Islamic Worldview, and people following such path will never be able to stand their ground upon Haq in the long run...may Allah help us regarding such vices and the gives us refuge from the doors from which they creep into our deen and may Allah enable our scholars to see far reaching consequences of their soft approach regarding liberalism by their words and deeds, and understand that the umbrella of liberalism will not save us from evil in this dunya and in Aakhirah
Yasir Qadhi you are a great orator. Machaallah
It's obvious why YQ is well known while Shykh Shadi was my first time to see or hear from him.
Assalamu alaikkum Jazakallah khair Sheikh

A quick note when 4 guests join together in one program. when one speaks it is important to hide other faces to make sure we concentrate what the guest has to say. showing all wonderful faces, distract us from focusing better and it also makes other guests not speaking uncomfortable as sometimes they want to do something in private such as to check their cell phone, talk on whatsap

As a clip of this was reshared I am listening to this again. I have question outside of the scope of this discussion. Shaykh Yasir, may Allah preserve him, mentioned that Ibn Taimiyyah May Allah have mercy on him, joined a tariqah when he was 18. Is there any evidence that Ibn Taimiyyah disavowed or renounced is bayah?
Alhamdulillah ala kulihal
1:23:50 - 1:32:03 Yasir Qadhi - 2015 Interview with Mehdi Hasan and Linda Sarsour
It was difficult to understand Dr shadi explaining sympathy.....
You should have got a member of Hizb ut-tahrir for this discussion as they have been working over 50 years for political change. Could have been a very good discussion altogether :) keep up the good work, mashahAllah.
What do you consider a diverse background and will there be other people in future panel discussions?
Good talk. So the benefit Ilhan brought was reuniting many refugee families. Can someone point me to an article about this? I had no clue and want to give credit where credit is due.
Ouch. 4 of em? ALL OF EM? (Kareemah)

Sheikh, you are using your mic the wrong way. The top of the mic should face away from you 😀
I prefer when you provide your opinions alone rather than get involved in a debate.
Why does it look like Dr Shadee El-Masriy is drinking with his left hand, looks confusing

On one point mentioned here, as a Muslim, who is also a sinner in one way or another, in open and in secret just like any other person, I support LGBT as far as expressing their feeling, legimitizing the feeling they have. But as far as them acting upon their urges, they are on their own with God - but you and I are not their police. As I have my own transgressions that I have to deal with that God will judge me for it - not any of you, nor the folks from the LGBT. And even the Messenger s.a.w. job is ultimately a clear conveyance, right? Obviously the above means that I will protect them if someone tries to harm them physically. The law is clear, we don't prosecute each other per se when we don't wrong each other. But when you wronged God, generally speaking only God can act upon you. All I am saying is that everyone sins! And each of us sould be too-worry about our sins that enforcing others' behaviors should not be your job specially in this country! What you can tell them is that you disagree with what 'they do' and know that when it 'besides that' then there are things that we all can work on together - but again you have no way to enforce what you think is right over them. And seriously, how many God's commandments each of us have broken, and keep breaking. The only thing diff. is that they show it in public and that you hide your sins - that no body even has the chance to criticize you. And that make you seem hollier than them. But we all should hope good for each other that before this life ends, that we regret it, that we realise it as being wrong, and ask God's forgiveness for it - and for it, may Mercy be shown to each of us sinners. Amen! Last but not least they ain't dead yet, and therefore for all fairness their door for forgiveness are still open! So be nice to them and invite them to the deen instead of pushing them away!
As a European its sometimes quite difficult to hear Americans and their unacademic use of language, building up arguments, and how they present their points. I am not pointing out any one of them but the the talk seemed incoherent and something you wouldnt necessarily see in UK.

Interesting take! Everyone look at people with a unique lenses. I for instance find it hard to listen to British people. I feel they speak from their noses. I jokingly say to friends that all British people need to have surgery to be able to speak clearly like Americans

Give one example or more in this lecture that was "difficult to hear" for you or "unacademic"? What argument could they have better "built up" or "presented"?

Could you provide at least one example of how this panel has used *"unacademic" methods on building their arguments? And how exactly does that have anything to do with a particular nationality?*
@abdelhakyac7285
Жыл бұрын
All they said is academic, unless you follow najdi ignorant unacamedic gurus, what they consider academic is unacademic for all ahlu sunnah.... their existence without idjaza wih continuous chain is already unacademic and the biggest bidaa ever happenned..... but i know they flourish in UK
Everyone agrees here...what about their critics? Could we hear their arguments? If their critics' arguments were not worthy then YQ and Omar Suleiman and even this video would not exist. And their little disagreements in this video is not important; bring people with core disagreements about this subject.
a good effort.....but to be pragmatic just remember the lofty sahabah killed one another over politics

Assalaam Alaykum Warahmatullah. I didn’t like the way they spoke about congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Whatever mistake she made is her own issue. We should never forget she is one of our sisters in faith and humanity. While we disagree with her on certain actions we should always embrace her as a respected leader in our community who has spoken out loud for the oppressed.
