I have only a passing familiarity with the Disgaea series and its connected games. I had no idea until recently that this game was at the heart of that long series!

Gotta hand it to NIS, even when the game in question is pretty light-hearted and cute, they go all out making the bad endings as depressing and nihilistic as possible.

These La pucelle guides and videos have been amazing so far and a big blessing for the newcomers! Keep it up!

All so get good ending in every chapter in main story

Didn't even know about normal ending version two, guess I'll have to look up how to get that one now. Anyway considering that Noir is the "secretly wants to be stopped and put out of his misery" type of villain, I guess the bad ending is the only bad ending for everybody. Not sure if the poor guy survives his Team Rocket style exit in the good ending, that would kinda suck, having to find a new, far less epic plot to make enemies to slay him.

So is there a way to turn Prier back so I can use purify? I'm at the end of chapter 4 and I feel like if I could skip to the final area with Noir and Croix I could win but...I get overwhelmed even with Rozalin and Prinny Hero. Prier is level 59 for whatever that's worth.

How to get the second title?cant seems to get the lvl 1000 boss to appear, instead i keep getting like 700+ boss

Haven't done this yet but the consensus is to kill 20+ Lv 500 overlord and at least one Lv 700 overlord in ONE run.

​@@JRPGFanatic If I remember right, that's just the Demon Lord Title only. The Overlord Title is one up from that and you do need the level 1000 Overlords. One in each floor that is, if in a single floor no Overlord spawns it should be a dud. Also Haniwa demons don't count, so it's a lot of farming. You have more luck the higher the enemiy spawn levels are. I never figured out how exactly to raise them, but somewhere I read that by selling your monsters as mercenaries, you upgrade the average levels in the netherworld (which makes somewhat sense since they are being send to the netherworld). I haven't tested it but sending a few dozen Bhaals to test it out should do the trick to both test for quanity and lv number of the sended Monsters. I've also read somewhere that you have to do it on the Demon Lord Prier story mode now, though I have no idea if that's correct either. I still don't have the title even after 12 years of playing (semi regularly), but since I've spend most time upgrading equipment for all characters, that probably doesn't say much (since it was rather easy in the original game, but not here anymore, I guess it could be true, I usually play the original story since that's where you level equipment).

I played the original some 20 odd years ago. Don't remember any of this happening. Is this version really that different?

In Chapter 1, talk to all the kids at the orphanage which should unlock an event panel for each of the 4 chapters. Make sure you visit each one and that should unlock the good ending.

Even available on steam. But physical edition looks pretty plus the artbook and oher stuffs, shame the switch port hass a bug on chapter 8 so you must do an update in the console before star to play and save.

Switch, Steam, or you get the PSP version plus fan translation. I mean you can play it without as well, played it on Japanese for 10 years before I decided to mod my PSP.
