To get this ending you need both the Argon Ring and the Alistair's Armour from Alexandria. Credit goes to @Lukethefox for bringing to my attention that you need the Alistair's Armour to get the extra dialogue choices (which is something I just get through the walkthrough anyway).

Imagine waking up one day not knowing that by the end of it you would be lying in bed with a woman despite not knowing you would marry her until 5 minutes before doing so.

Perfect ending indeed! It doesn't need anything more to explain! It brought me the happiest day of my life when I saw this on my own. And now, the Japanese voice actors are husband and wife! At 16:05 it's interesting that Jessica says "My hero!" That's also what Fleurette says to the hero in DQ Swords during the battle. I love that ship too.

@@americasteam2112 It's perfect because the hero's wish is the player's wish. And from the player's point of view, Medea is nobody compared to Jessica, nobody would want to marry that horse over Jessica without those brainwashing events, using Charmles as a stepping stone, etc. And it still doesn't work.

@@KKristof100 it’s not. There is no development. The game points to the Princess and hero are in love. It’s half-assed late addition in remaster of the game for shippers. It wasn’t in the original. There are no hints.

@@americasteam2112 It depends on players if it is. In the Dragon Quest series, the hero is the player so it's up to them to decide their love interest. In another series where the main protagonist has his own name, lines, etc., it would be okay to "point to the princess and the hero are in love", but not in DQ. It was the worst betrayal of the series in the PS2 version when they forced the princess as a love interest. In this version, they let the player choose so the justice had been done. discussion ended.

One thing that always baffles me, why was charmles specifically allowed to forbid the group from going to the wedding anyway, king trode, king clavius, and medea herself would have easily gone over him and have them be invited after all they've done

Absolutely beside the point of this lovely scene for certain, but... the sheer strangeness of suddenly realizing the 2D nature of the woman sitting to Morrie's left when the Hero nods his head in reply to Bangerz made me laugh.

As awesome as Jessica's puff-puffs would no doubt be (14:11 -- Hey! I'm up here!!), I would much prefer the quiet, gentle, graceful ladylike elegance that Princess Medea would bring. Flora/Nera and Serena would be my ideal wife in those games for the same reason...and SNES Flora is the most...adorable...bride...EVER.

I feel like Medea's ending is the canon, but i like this one more. Jessica looks so happy at the end :')

It's a bit sad i can't not run this in 3ds emulator for Android i really like the ending of Jessica hopefully Nintendo switch emulator will be approved by Nintendo i really all so want to play re master version of rhapsody musical adventure and rhapsody 2 along with rhapsody 3 because i know that Nintendo switch portable is a bit expensive if you want to buy it that is way emulator is solution for Android phone

Is this exclusive to the 3DS Version because ive never seen this in the PS2 ending

Well, that is one of the games I'm thinking about making a guide for (once it comes out).

Medea's ending is canon and makes the most sense, they added the Jessica ending for self-inserters

This was the reason I even wanted the 3DS version and as of this morning, I can say I got this ending. Took me over ninety hours to get here...and I don't regret a single one. When I was a teenager, I was a huge, HUGE Jessica simp. And I still kinda am, though these days I have waifus I prefer over her, but she'll always hold a spot in my heart. If teenage me knew there would one day be a version of this game where you could marry Jessica, he'd have had a huge fanboy attack...I can hear him screaming now. May I just say, the developers nailed the 3DS port. The music kinda took a hit, and some minor cosmetic things were lost. But the whole game more or less is all here, with extra stuff on top of it. And having it on the go is super awesome. While I can now put the game down, feeling satisfied, I just know I'll pick it up again one day. Now I'm debating between going to VII or XI.

This ending is kinda weird. There is not one romantic moment between these two characters for the entire game. Feels a bit unearned.

Lol girls are limited here let alone 14:40 rushed. Do admit 10:50 King Clavius rules 😂 and before that 4:30 could make Hero cry 😢. I see they censor kisses, not sure if that's just 3ds as I know some stuff got censored too.
