My kids and I have been slowly working on this route while we wait for the rest of the parts to come in for the Tacoma. The views are amazing and they’ve learned so much. Watching this video with them and seeing them getting excited yelling “Dad, we’ve been there too!” Is an awesome feeling! Great video guys and keep up the amazing work 👍🏼

That's great! Thanks for watching and sharing.
That drone shot early on 9:42 with the fog in the valley and you were on the spine of a ridge was so cool. Reminds me of some early mornings at Red River Gorge. The snowy shots at the end were great too. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us and showing off the beauty of the outdoors.

We loved that shot and the RRG.
Thanks y'all so much for sharing. We lived in New England for 25 years, pretty cool to go back in time and see our old stomping grounds. Great filming as always, be safe out there.

@12:55 through @13:15 "the faster it gets, the smoother it gets". This is so true, even on a factory Mojave.

Yes it is!
Damascus I think, is where the TAT starts off, for NC also, isn't it? We ran a few miles on the NC and TN portion of that trail, and it was sooooo beautiful. Gonna try and hit it out there around Oct 1 for fall leaves! Thank you again, for bringing us along on this journey. (My Tacoma does that, the faster you go, the more cozy the ride. I like to give credit to the Fox suspension. I have Fox components on my Taco, and my mountain bike. I don't think I will ever use different shocks.) You all have some of the best fun up in the hills, and are a huge inspiration to those of us that cannot get out quite as often. (And leave us with a huge desire to get out more!!) Can't wait for the next one!

The TAT runs through Damascus but doesn't start there. Thanks so much for following the channel!
The KAT has been on my list of next to do, but with the storm damage in that area, the MABDR just got moved up to #1. Another great video by you guys and each one you do just seems to get better. Your travels inspire me and I'm sure, many others.

Maybe I’m weird but I liked the videos without the music in the background lol 😂 feels like I’m there with y’all when there’s no music. But I do appreciate your videos as someone who’s looking at getting into overlanding I like watching all your videos

You will like the Cherokee Trailhawk. I have a 2014 trailhawk KL bought it brand new and I now have a 2inch MFC lift Mopar rock rails and 245-70-17 tires on it. Doe's great off road and even before the lift.

Nice!
Most of PA State Forests have privately-held 'camp leases'. The rustic cabins you came across in PA were likely leased camps. There are some interesting rules for how many nights per year you can stay in your camp, and I'm not sure if they're available for rent, but you can usually find a friend-of-a-friend willing to let you crash.

Nice trip! Just picked up my 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk and am excited to see what it's capable of. First mods will be lift, tires and rock sliders. Should give me 11.5" of ground clearance.

Thanks for the video, going to be doing this in June, or at least part of it, we will probably have to do it in 2 parts as well. Will be the second BDR, as we did the Wyoming last summer. How man days were you out for each of the segments?

Not a repost, but is the full 1000 miles to the Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route. As we were asked to put this full route into a video as we did with others.
