What are the directional limits on the winch with that fair lead ?

Looking to buy it already got the winch the only thing is i would like for them to have is a combo for the sensors and the light mount.

Sorry Not sure on how the skid plate mounts. The mount is behind the bumper and relatively high up and doesn’t extend below.

Nice video. I’ve been thinking of adding this to my ‘21 Rebel. I do like your grill lights. Which ones did you use?

I used these tinted amber lights amzn.to/344TuTR They fit without any mounting. The rubber gasket slides into the grill and locks them in place.

So we’re well over a year in use. I daily this through the NJ winters. Between salt from the roads and off-road driving on the beach. It’s held up very well No rust no loose bolts no rattles it’s almost like it’s not even there! I wish I could say I got stuck more and used it a lot but it’s like a safety net once you have it, you’ll never need it.

I have the goRhino steps. They are sturdy as hell, but I loose almost 4” of ground clearance with them.

Did your Rebel come equipped with an IBS (Intelligent Battery Sensor)? If so, how did you handle wiring a winch to an IBS-equipped vehicle?

Remove the negative terminal, and the IBS bolts on from the bottom. Remove the IBS and place the negative winch cable on the battery terminal then reinstall the IBS. The winch negative is connected to the battery terminal.

@@WorkPlayDrive The problem with that is it may provide an alternate path from the battery negative terminal to chassis ground through the winch itself. This would effectively disable the IBS entirely because the battery negative terminal no longer needs to go through the IBS to get to chassis ground. Disabling the IBS could cause potentially serious unknown electrical problems and may void the warranty for related issues.

​@@WorkPlayDrive HAL is correct. For most winches, casing is ground. If the winch ground cable is connected directly to the battery negative terminal, this can provide an alternate ground path, one that bypasses the IBS, via the winch casing to chassis. This can be somewhat mitigated by installing a winch disconnect to remove winch power/ground when the winch is not in use and/or isolating the winch casing from the chassis. In either case, the IBS will be bypassed when the winch is connected with indeterminate effect on IBS function.

It was about $2900 but there are less expensive winch options. I went with a full wireless setup so I don’t need to roll around in the mud to flip the clutch.

@@WorkPlayDrive Awesome I really love your setup and it's what I would go for. To much work for me to install I rather have it installed for me. Since I just retired as a Union Sheet Metal Worker in NYC. But if you are not to far and like to make same cash in helping me installing it let me know because you have done it already on yours and you did an awesome job.
