Nahhh just remember that's the guy who used fishing as an allegory for entering a relationship. Him becoming a fisherman is him accepting his role as the one who has to catch the fish - in other words, the one who finally accepts Stede back.

I think Con O’ Neil’s breakthrough was in musical theater.

The way Ed stares so intensely at Stede for a moment and then nods, giving him his consent, and the fact that Stede WAITS for that nod gets me every time. And the way Stede puts his hand in Ed's hair/cradles the back of his head when they kiss...I am deceased.

I love the deliberate anachronies of this show. Stede is finally taking control of his life, even if it means making unpleasant decisions. I hope Ed and Stede can overcome the guilt each feels over the abrupt changes in the other's lives. Stede believes he ruined Blackbeard's reputation and Ed believes he brought darkness into Stede's life.

Granted my knowledge of this show is tangential at best, but from my perspective it seems like they made each other better that way…..Ed’s become gentler and kinder, and Stede’s become bolder and more confident

Can we just appreciate Rhys's acting in this because the split second he's on camera when he pulls Ed into the room, the pain and need and panic on Stede's face. It's so much portrayed in a split second.

Scenes that make me want to rip off my skin in a good way but also make me want to drink poison by the next episode

I love Izzy's "You should give him a minute" Because Stede's always been alone for this shit. Now Ed is here, and he's so overwhelmed by love - HE HAS TO HAVE HIM

This scene was absolutely beautiful ❤ You could just feel how desperate they were to be with each other after surviving another dangerous day! I just love that Stede waits for his nod before continuing and the way they hug each other OMG I've rewatched this so many times and it always makes me melt ❤❤❤

EDS NOD , STEDE WAITED FOR HIM TO SAY YES. I HAVENT EVEN WATCHED THE NEWEST EPISODE YET AND IM ALREADY IN SHAMBLES

The scene when Ed is watching the fireworks and then looks at Stede, he seems so fragil. For me is one of the most powerful in this show. I also love how he nods his head to make Stede sure he can go ahead.

He’s been pushed around all his life, not taken seriously, and looked down upon. That was the culmination of him finally taking his decisions, his actions, his life into his own hands and coming into the pirate, and the man, he wants to be.

I like how this show makes use of classical music. Good Omens had music specially composed for the show by David Arnold, and it's absolutely GREAT, but in OFMD it's also nice to recognize a piece of music and see how it works for a certain scene. Hearing that well-known Edith Piaf song, such an old favourite of mine, sung with Izzy's husky voice while Ed and Stede finally make out just feels perfect ❤

I suposse it's because I'm not a big music fan, but aside from the opening I didn't realize any music that was specifically composed fro the show, in fact, I love all the Queen songs and the fact that now a lot of people have started to hear to Everyday because of the last episode.

I feel like this is Stede processing his first official kill. When Ed arrives at his door I think he’s just overwhelmed with emotions and I think Ed understands and does his best to be there for him in the way Stede wants but not necessarily what Ed wants. Overall still beautiful

Don't sweat it! The second season has very intentionally paralleled the first, but this time it's Ed getting to where he needs to be for the relationship to work. According to the pattern, the final episode will be Ed resolving the issues that are holding him back and coming back to Stede ready to fully commit. I do hope/expect that this time around, though, they will be properly reunited before the end of the episode (thus setting up the final season as them going through a growth arc together as a couple).
