Treach was just saying that his mom tells him he's priceless (so valuable that you can't place a price on it), so why does he feel worthless? Just a line to illustrate how low and hopeless he felt growing up, and how impactful his environment was.

This songs a straight 10 for me mayne. One of my favourite bars in this song is: Say something positive, well positive ain't where i live. I live right round corner from west hell, 2 blocks from south shit, and once in a jail cell.

This song has been one of my favorite songs since I was a young kid because it was one of the first songs that made me understand I wasn't the only one going through it (along with Tupac's Keep Your Head Up, and Ghostface Killah's All That I Got Is You). But I've never noticed that priceless/worthless bar, that was crazy! This song is truly a work of art.

I’m now 46 years old and I even cried watching this reaction because I came a long way from how I grew up and mentally I still go through it because of it 😢

You just had to be there, bro. The 90’s were a whole different existence. This Era doesn’t just listen to DIFFERENT MUSIC, they listen to MUSIC DIFFERENTLY. We could tell you what Album these songs were on, what other tracks were on it, the year and season they dropped. But the youngins these days know every lyric to a song but couldn’t name the artist. We remember what was goin on in life when Uptown Anthem dropped. We remember our friends/family’s addresses and phone numbers by heart. They not built like that now.

Ya'll are making me pull out he catalogue from when you reacted to "Uptown Anthem" So let me drop it again. The NBN catalogue goes like this. --------- Guard your Grill, Everything Gonna be Alright, Written on Ya Kitten, Dirt on my Lonely, Hip Hop Hooray, Feel me flow, O.P.P, Mourn you till I join you, Craziest, It's On, Wickedest Man Alive, 1,2,3. --------- IT seems that Cam and Justo have stumbled again upon one of the most influential hiphop groups and rappers of all time. Trigger Trech aka Treacherous, was a massive influence on Eminem, Jay Z, Big L and so many other rappers. JUST FEEL HIM FLOW.

I have to reiterate that NBN (Naughty by Nature) were the hit makers. For 3 straight Summers they had the number one hiphop hit. "O.P.P", "Uptown Anthem", "Hiphop Hooray", "Craziest", "Feel me Flow". ------ Every Summer from 91' to 93' no one could touch these guys. It wasn't unitl Dr Dre came with, "THe Chronic" and that anyone was able to stop their run of dominance on not only the HipHop charts but also the pop charts as well. Plase go back and watch ya'll own reaction to "Uptown Anthem " to feel the impact and impression NBN made on you guys.

I was a teenager when they blew up. I have their first two albums on cassette! This song actually makes me tear up, as a person with depression and from a poor family I feel the meaning of the lyrics pretty hard even though the actual life experience is something so divorced from mine. You don't get many expressions of what depression can look like for people who aren't rich or upper middle class white girls. And it's a banger. This song is my favourite on the album, followed by "1, 2, 3".

Hey Cam and Justo, I am not comparing NBN (Naughty by Nature) to KRS One, but this album is equivalent to the 90's version of "Criminal Minded". We know how ya'll love some KRS One. Tigger Treach is like and updated version of KRS One without copying him, cause back then you couldn't copy another artist and expect to be respected in the hip-hop game. ---- NBN was definitely the biggest group in hiphop for about 4 years and then Nas and Biggie came around. That's why NBN gets lost in the shuffle of hip-hop. ------- That's why we are here to give you the real of how it was back then. ENJOY.

I've had guns to my head and been in knife and ax fights. I got kicked out by mom because she couldn't afford us. I hid in a shadow that was too small to hide in from a helicopters spot light when I was running from the cops and gunfire when I was 12 years old out jacking stereos. I heard this song when I was 13 and it was my anthem. You don't even know there are white people out there who were in the institutions with you who have dead friends killed by cops who couldn't afford to eat. That was my life, and I don't know why I"m still alive but I am and now shits peacful and I just drink my brew and smoke my brush and remember late at night and bump these old songs.
