This is what true hip hop is. Not just rhyming words, but also an extremely great story.

When this song came out, it wasn't a song, it was therapy and hope for many living through the same hell. It wasn't just listening to a rap song, it was necessary. Dope review Ahmad!!!!!!

This was a quick autobiography of Treach's upbringing from his mom being forced to put him out at 18 so she and her remaining kids would have a place to live, to him being over 40 before meeting his father. Treach also wrote all of Naughty's material, both his and Vinnie's verses. You should check out their track "It's On"

This is one of the best reflective hip hop tracks ever. I absolutely LOVED this song and still do!!!
One of my favorite songs. Helped me not jump off the deep end coming out the projects.
This is my favorite Naughty By Nature song. Such a classic.
This song really touched my heart and made me wanna shed a tear the first time I heard it. 😢 Naughty By Nature are grossly underrated. They were an example of real hip hop on the mainstream.

This is the song that made me a fan of Naughty by Nature
56 year old white dude here and that and OPP are my two favorite rap songs ever. Never hear anything that good nowadays!
I’m glad the video visuals did justice to the song, powerful music. 🔥
This was my favorite song at one point in I think eighth grade. Seen Naughty By Nature live twice now, always a good show. Check out “Uptown Anthem” from the soundtrack to “Juice.”

One of the best written songs in hip-hop history. Straight to the point and paints one of the most vivid pictures ever. And as always, Treach just murders the flow. FYI, this song is actually titled 'Ghetto Bastard', but was renamed for the radio edit.
Reality rap at its finest🔥🔥🔥
I remember how excited I was when I got a Naughty by Nature hoodie (navy/yellow). Them, Das Efx, Blacksheep, EPMD, Tribe and Brand Nubian were some of the first tapes I ever got.
One of the best written songs, with great samples, hitting beat, awesome flow, dope intro and memorable outro. "In Illtown, Pure Luck got stuck-up, Props got shot, Don't Worry hit with a flurry and his punk ass dropped" That's utter hopelessness. The lyrics can stand alone as poetry. Classic.
I'll go as far as to say that this is one of the greatest hip-hop tracks of all time. Very underrated but as good as it gets. Classic.
And related to the New Jersey rappers...Queen Latifah has a dope jackin-4-beats style diss track. I never really knew she was so violent on the mic until a few years ago. Lol Queen Latifah Name Callin part 2
Bro! I 👌🏾 this! Treach is hands down the most underated lyricist in the game. Like you said, his word play and flow is ferocious!
I was a 13yo fatherless Kid in the german projects when this song came out . Treach grabbed my fucking soul with it. With this song i knew hip hop is so much more then music , its almost like therapy , when i listen to it nowaday, tears still come to my eyes , everytime . Thats why for me it is the best hip hop track ever. No other song triggers such an emotional response for me.
They don't make songs like this no more salute 🫡 to you Young brother appreciate you everything you do on your channel

You need to do a deep dive into Naughty! Treach is one of the greatest to ever do it. 19 Naughty 3 is a monster album from start to finish.
Glad you reviewed this. This was a super duper classic!!!!! Naughty by Nature was really tearing the game up around this time!!!! They were also one of the first if not the first hip hop group to have their own clothing line. It was out before Wu Wear!
Em said this joint is what inspired him to rap. Plus it my favorite hip hop joint ever!!!!!! Number 1 by a mile
I bought the cassette (yeah cassette tape) of this album in 92' . This One of my favorite tracks. Nice to see people are still enjoying it.

I lived right around the corner from West Hell/ two blocks from South Shit and once in a jail cell I was 10 when this came out and listening to it now, I still rap along with every word
One of my favorite joints
Always loved this song. I forgot how dope this song is. Dope reaction choice.
Treach was ill on their first few albums. Check out "Pin The Tail On The Donkey" by Naughty By Nature
When I was 15 this was like therapy to me. The song got a lot of play on radio and on tv, most people didn't really listen to what he was saying back then
Peace King. Peace to the Family. Jersey finest💯🔥🔥🔥🔥

My wife from those projects at 2:07 she said those were some of the best memories of her childhood
The name of the track in the album is “Ghetto Bastard.” They change the name of the video for more air play.
I’ve been waiting for this reaction, about to check it out now.

I miss the 90s and 2000s the variety of hip hop songs like this would play in the club it was great 👍
Living in that era was Exactly like that. Stick up kids were everywhere and everyday. But I wouldn’t trade that part of my youth for nothing. I lived in Elizabeth next 2 Newark. 🫡.

Facts🔥
Not knowing my father as a child, this song really resonated with me. Gave me alot of strength push on.
Treach is a beast of a rapper and people sleep on him a lot. He ain’t no joke.
Word up Ahmad. Great video & great Reaction Bro! You know, Naughty by Nature may be from Jersey but Jersey is almost like the "forgotten" NYC Burrough. Most people think of NYC, they think of the 5 Burroughs like Bronx/Brooklyn/Queens/Staten Island/Manhattan & then "Harlem" which happens to be a neighborhood in Manhattan. Some people mistake Harlem as almost like a "sixth" NYC Burrough but it's not. Anyway, New Jersey is almost always overshadowed by the glamour & glitz of NYC but a LOT of artists & groups were born & raised in Jersey. If you think people from Jersey have New York type accents its because they are literally the next state over beside NYC. Especially if they're from places like Newark, Jersey City, East Orange & other Jersey Cities nearby. They can quite literally see the NYC downtown skyline & City Lights from Jersey if they're in East Jersey. NYC & New Jersey are like first cousins or brothers. They don't always get along, they may not like each other but they're in close relation & proximity of each other! Jersey gets overshadowed & underrated by NYC all the time. In my personal opinion, I think New Jersey should be the official "sixth" Burrough of the NYC metro! Not to mention, Jersey has a LOT of Rappers/Emcees & recording artists that contributed to Hip Hop AND R&B! Jersey don't get the recognition they deserve. NYC all day BUT I GOTTA show love to New Jersey as well! Shout out to all the Cities in Jersey who don't get the recognition they deserve. OneLuv! Jersey, NYC, Philly collaborate! Philly not too far from NYC either! Philly stand up too! Peace Ahmad & peace to your fans across the globe! 🌎
Treach wrote "Jump" for Kris Kross.
One of the greatest song/videos of all time Period ❤
You gotta do Craziest by Naughty by Nature if you haven’t
Great Reaction Young King 🔥
When this came out, I thought it was brilliant. Still do. You know as Treach moved up, people the industry was trying to get him to make everything like O.P.P., upbeat and happy. I know I would not last 3 seconds in the ghetto, but the amount of people who think people living there just need to be "positive" need to get that everyone there is already as positive as possible in the situation. Or everyone would be dead even younger than they die now.
Naughty had a TON of hits! React to CRAZIEST, UPTOWN ANTHEM, and/or DIRT ALL BY MY LONELY
Loved these dudes back in the day
My favourite group of all time🔥❤
Still true today "my mother couldnt afford me so she had to throw me out"

Welcome to the BIG LEAGUE and quite possibly THE greatest rap song...EVER... I didn't stammer... Treach heard "Gangsta's Paradise" and said, "HOLD MY BEER!"
