Otter Gave Birth!
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
They are not sea otters, but small-clawed otters. They like to swim, but give birth on land. And in Japan, it is legal for us to live with otters.
These otters are our family and they trust us very much. So we could spend time with her when she gave birth. She chose to be in a large space with us rather than in a small, dark place.

Actually animals have discomfort but they don't have labor pains. I've never seen an otter yelp like this. You can Google yourself and check. This lady needs to have the female otter checked out by a professional. Or maybe she knew this otter couldn't carry babies but took the chance. 18 percent speed hyenas die giving birth because this penis like thingies rips open but experts say they don't even have labor pains. All mammals have always amazed me with how intelligent they are. Once you get to know them, cats, dogs, rabbits and even chipmunks are mind blowing with how intelligent and aware they are. Our problem as humans, one species of mammal, is that we usually fail to understand our own parameters of smarts don't translate very well. Rabbits might seem pretty dumb to humans who fail to contextually adjust their thinking, but to rabbits we're dumber than dirt. More familiar with dogs and cats who have adjusted to our parameters, most humans fail to recognise rabbits and otters I would say, are relatively smarter than dogs or cats. More personality variation is my reason for making this judgement by the way.

Muito lindo o cuidado da mamãe lontra com seus Bebês
I really enjoyed watching that little otter having babies. I felt so bad when she was in pain crying and her sister was crying too. I'm so happy she had 2 healthy babies. I'm sure she'll be a good Mommy

Hi. I'm from the future (this video is almost a year old now!). Yes, Otsuyu was a good mother as we all expected, but not perfect. She had to be separated from her kids for over a month because she over-groomed them but that was fine because they were at the age to become independent from their moms anyway.

she seems to have a problem with this in general. maybe an anxiety thing? she did that to herself too, sort of, causing all that hair loss seen/mentioned in this video.

Me: thinking more disturbing scenes will be otter popping babies Reality: most disturbing scenes were seeing momma otter be in pain and screaming

My dog is very empathic, if I get upset, she is knows it & I swear on my life, sometimes cries with me. She will have big fat tears running down her soaked little face (only dog I’ve ever seen with actual tears). Well this little otter’s cries really got to her. We are in bed, I start watching this video & she whines loudly, looks at my phone & then digs her way under 3 layers of blankets…few minutes later, she would come out, pace in circles, leave the room & then run back in & stare at my phone. She seemed very concerned about whatever she perceived was upset. I finally turned the volume off. Gosh, I felt so bad for the little otter! Thank goodness everything is ok now!

Our problem is context. We presume we are somehow above speciation, when we are in fact enslaved to it as are all creatures.

It’s so strange- I have little kids and watching this video put me right back a few years ago to my last labor. That cry is universal. You’re in so much pain for hours and hours and then WHOOSH just like that, the relief hits you. Man it was awful, and I never thought I could relate to an otter so much lol.

I cried and wanted to hold her hand and try to comfort her and pat her. She was grabbing the bars in pain, poor little thing.. 3 1/2 hours of labor with no epidural. Can you imagine if every human woman had to go through that now a days? Then, a little baby popped out and she didn't know what to make of it at first! She was like, " What in the world IS THAT?" It took a few moments for her to realize she had a BABY! Then, the contractions, AGAIN! Not so long this time, but still PAINFUL. Then, another plop! A second baby! She knew what to do this time. She had to eat the placenta because it's full of nourishment with vitamins and minerals. And she has to lick the privates of the babies because they don't know how to go potty. She's teaching them. I'm sure everyone knows that, but some do not. I think dogs do all of this and cats too. My aunt raised show dogs and this is what happened every time the "bitches" had litters of puppies. I asked my aunt what was going on. Humans didn't do all this stuff, but we have the luxury of epidurals too! We are lucky. :). She's an incredible mommy/okasan. She is taking VERY good care of her pups/babies.

@@belladonna131 yea, that took her by surprise! It some time to investigate, what is that that just came out of her. It looks she was not sure what to make of it. It’s amazing to see how the maternal instinct kicked in.

This was so difficult to watch , but I couldn’t look away. I don’t know how I would have dealt with her cries of pain. Child birth is so difficult but the joy afterwards makes it all worthwhile. Thank God she and her babies survived.

I find it ironic when guys say: "Don't be a pu$$y and grow some balls!" When in actuality, a female's reproductive organs are strong enough to facilitate human life and can withstand giving birth to an infant while a guy screams in pain when he get's hit in the balls.

TOTALLY UNNECESSARY PROLONGED PAIN. The owner was totally out of her depth and educational level....and in my opinion, has no business breeding them.
