Reading his background, Dewey Cooper was a kickboxer too. A strictly boxing trainer would have Francis throwing body punches.

One of if not my greatest hope in boxing is that Arthur Beterbiev fights Smith, Bivol and maybe Benavidez to end his career and KO's them all, retiring as the undefeated, undisputed, 100% KO ratio, ALL TIME GREAT. Despite Weeks' early stoppage when will fighters learn to clinch and/or punch back. Sitting against the ropes absorbing shots and not punching back can be construed as surrender. Refs should use the standing 8 count more - not sure about the rule - if they are unsure (about the fighter's condition) and that would have been an appropriate move in this case.

Gents, I love to see and hear the recognition of Andy Lee from yous both, he was a very good fighter himself indeed and definitely knows his stuff. Parker has genuinely benefited from the linkup... Whilst on the subject of Andy Lee I'll just mention a fantastic young Irish prospect named Paddy Donovan, who Andy Lee has brought through to the pros, he's had a fight or 2 on Dazn over the last year but I followed him on the small venue shows prior to this and he's massively impressed each fight... Judging criteria is based upon effective aggression, ring generalship, hard and clean punches, and defense at the end. Francis did more of this. Bringing up the stats later on to justify Fury winning doesn't matter when Fury reacted to everything Francis did, so Francis should have stolen those rounds as well in real time since the judges can't grasp the technical aspects of boxing in real, fast time. And I hope Francis beats Joshua much similar to what Liston did against Williams and Patterson; complete destruction 🎉🎉🎉

Been a boxing fan since about age 12 (2002), been an MMA fan for almost as long, maybe 2005-2006. Francis v Tyson was a very close fight. Could have gone either way or draw without any complaints from me. There's some real boxing snobs out here trying to cope. Like their precious sport would lose legitimacy if a FIGHTER from another sport whether its kickboxing, muay thai, or MMA, were to upset a boxing champion. Over the years there have been a number if muay thai guys who crossed over and made that happen. Not to mention guys who started later in life but became champs. Can't think of any kickboxers but there's probably some examples. Francis is an absolute anomaly of a human and he's developed some very nice boxing skills that I wasn't expecting to see. We already knew that he had the heart of a lion, a granite chin, and anomalous power. Now we know that he CAN BOX. Respect and love to Tyson and Francis, huge fan of both guys. The fight was good for BOTH sports because it shows that real recognizes real. Y'all thought it was a mismatch and Fury should have been fighting Usyk and I can respect that... but now we know it wasn't a mismatch. If Francis can perform like that against AJ... it's gonna be a rough night for AJ and the sensitive boxing snobs of the world. 🥊😅

Garcia did the 'bait and switch.' I don't get the chinny argument against AJ when he's been dropped fewer times than Fury and Wilder who've both been dropped 7 times a piece but AJ only 5 times. Joshua and Wilder have been dropped by 2 different guys but Fury has been dropped by 4 different guys. Wilder was KOd cold and AJ was TKOd. By that logic then they all are chinny but Joshua is the less chinny because he's been dropped fewer times and he's never been KOd cold like WIlder was. Every fighter has been hurt, to say he's been hurt a few times to add to the argument that he's chinny makes no sense because they've all been hurt several times, including Usyk. What we're missing here is that it's Turki Alal Shaykh who called for the fight regardless of what Hearn and AJ had planned for; not that Hearn and AJ wouldn't mind.

Although Callum Smith has a lot of physical attributes, when he couldn't land his punches on Canelo early, I felt that he just gave in and took a beating the rest of the fight. That doesn't bode well against Beterbiev. Maybe he's a lot stronger at 175 lbs but that Canelo fight showed mental weakness that Beterbiev would exploit. Unless Smith lands early and hurts Beterbiev, I see Smith taking a beating the longer the fight goes.

I don't intend to dampen the enthusiasm, but it's worth noting that many boxers are leaning towards AJ winning by knockout. It's intriguing how some may overlook the strategic advantages an MMA fighter possesses over a traditional boxer. In boxing, attention is mainly focused on the left and right hands, whereas in MMA, one's entire body serves as a potential weapon. Humorously, MMA fighters often jest that their only need for improvement is stamina to endure 12 rounds of 3 minutes each. Examining the Conor vs. Floyd bout illustrates this point; the MMA fighter performed notably better in the initial rounds. The challenge lies in sustaining the intensity due to the extended duration of boxing matches. I anticipate Francis securing a knockout victory, considering his enhanced fitness and refined movement. My admiration extends to both athletes, and I wish them the utmost success.

How many great fights are ones where it’s one-sided then suddenly it changes with one punch? Ward v Nery and many others. Perhaps the fighter needs more say. I've been boxing as a kid in amateurs and I've been a student of the sport for 35 years. I'm telling you all: Francis can take everything Joshua throws at him. Francis' chin is rock solid + he's monstrously strong. AJ can not take Francis power. AJ will end up like against Ruiz.

Garcia's ego means he will never be a top world contender; too focused on Instagram, how he looks online, and not listening to his trainers. De La Hoya has his own problems but the pair of them are clowns.

@@r95kfw I do think Fury is chinny actually, but his chin seems stronger than AJ's. Also in my opinion Fury has the better body and head movement, so sometimes the risk with that is getting knocked down. Just because someone is knocked down doesn't necessarily mean hurt. Balance is a big factor. But I do know Fury got up off the ground like The Undertaker vs Wilder and I do know that Joshua was dropped 3(?) times by Ruiz and didn't even walk out of the corner per the refs directions because he was so rattled

Now there are levels to this boxing game and Ngarnuo is nothing but a 2 fight NOVICE yes he beat fury but fury is not the fighter you think he is reality is fury is SHITE his record is SHITE compared many of the top 10 and has cherry picked his opponents all his career to protect his 0. This Aj is going to break all you MMA guys hearts by finishing Ngarnuos boxing career before it even starts in 6 rounds as I said there are levels to this boxing game yes in the MMA world Ngarnuo along side John Jones is one of the greatest but this is not an MMA FIGHT it is BOXING just like James Toney got found out against Randy Cotoure trying to rule MMA from Boxing he got DESTROYED by the best of that era unluckily for Ngarnuo he faced probably alongside that ALABAMA HILLBILLY one of the most over rated champions of this era in fury he will now go in against a 2x unified champ who has the best record of this era who has fought everybody he's ducked nobody if Ngarnuo was fighting the AJ from the Franklin and Helanious fights he might of had a chance but AJ has found his spiteful side again there is a calmness and he's back to being a destructive beast again something that Ngarnuo has never faced in a BOXING MATCH. RIP FRANCIS NGARNUO, go back to MMA, and rule again because you ain't beating any of the top 10.

Stop it man, the Fury fight was an ACTING PERFORMANCE by both men, just study Fury's body language, it's impossible for a big lump in Ngannou to "beat" the best Heavyweight of this Century. The man who beat the sh*t out of Deontay Wilder - the hardest puncher of this Century. Fury allowed him to "look good" which he really wasn't, he was sh*te aswell, but the sheeple need a hero and so they gave him in Ngannou. Dana is getting his slice of the pie too 🤑
