You two are the most calm patient people in the world!! Standing in line for two hours??? My nerves couldn’t handle it! Good for you! The only time in my life I stood that long in a line, was four hours to vote. It was my civic responsibility and I did it!! This was before early voting 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well, we sort of "sat" in line in our truck to get in to the resort. It's definitely no fun standing for two hours, that's one reason we haven't been back to Disney World for a few years.

Almost looks like a gopher TORTOISE..not turtle. They burrow in the ground and make really good homes for lizards, snakes, and small mammals 😁

LOL...at a buffet in a vacation spot! We lived in Myrtle Beach for 10 years and going out to eat during the summer crush there was always a line...everywhere. This went by fast though, since they have this process down. It was a nice experience and actually made checking in very stressless. Thanks for the comment. 😎

The process is pretty nice. They certainly move them in and out quickly. We got a great spot too with the sun on the right side. Nice to see you guys here.

Now we know where all those trailers went that were on all of those RV sales lots!!! RVing has changed so much in the last 4 years. Reservations are a must at most camp sites now especially in Florida in the winter.

Lol... yes, they are all in Orlando for the winter! Florida is crazy busy now during the winter season. All the campgrounds are near capacity. Reservations are a must.

Great video! I flashed back to taxiing a C-5 into a new-to-me airfield where we weren't real sure that the marshallers wouldn't get us into a spot we couldn't get out of! A little anxious! But - you guys handled it with aplomb! And - no worries - inadvertent releases of air...happens to all of us! 😎 Thanks for sharing - hope you have fun in Orlando!! :)

I know, right?!? Still a lot of campers out there especially in Florida during the winter months. Gee...for some reason, people want to escape the cold?!? Prices have dropped and probably will even more over the next 6 months. During our travels in 2021 we saw most RV dealerships with very low inventory...but now in 2022/23, all the RV lots are full with new stock. Wow, I thought Holiday Trav-L Park @ Virginia Beach and Camp Hatteras @ Rodanthe (Outer Banks NC) had a lot of RV's with a long line @ check in.....guess I haven't been to Florida, hey? And look at you! Backed that rig in that nice super looking site like a champ and totally fit it all in there! Nice! I hope you didn't end up unhooking and had to park the HDT elsewhere. Guess I'll find out soon in the next vlog. Looking forward to it.

Hey, its a gopher tortoise their protected. and they bite. Growing up swimming in the springs we didn't mine the gators it was the snapping turtles that hurt.

Hopefully they don't sneak up behind people to bite 😬. I love all wildlife and definitely keep my distance so they don't feel like their personal space is invaded or they feel threatened. Except for the frog I caught in the Smart they other day. I carried it to woods. I hope he's OK and not dehydrated 🥺 because it pee'd all over me. 🤦‍♀️

Good afternoon on this fine Saturday. No "official" meet and greet but we are around until the 13th. We enjoy meeting everyone and if you want to come on down to TTO to say "hi" that would be great. We're buttoning up on Sunday for a Monday departure so we leave that day open. We've met some awfully nice people so far down at TTO. Nice park. Wayne, "stuffed" is being kind...we are definitely maxed out on every square foot of space on our site! Thousand Trails works for us because we don't expect "RV resort living"...TT Orlando is the exception as it is a very nice resort. The other 90% of TT parks are definitely not nearly as nice as this and many lack in general maintenance. Pedestals don't work, sites are unlevel, not all sites are full hookup, older parks in need of TLC, amenities are in disrepair or aren't offered...etc. But, we realized that going in and have found TT Parks to be fine for what we need, which is a place to get caught up from traveling fulltime. If the park is nice such as Orlando, Palm Desert or Lake Conroe then we are ahead of the game. Hope this helps answer your question. 😎

If you mean the "Royal Family of Surfing" then, yes. My father was Duke Kahanamoku's oldest and closest brother. I grew up in Hawaii and lived on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. Just watched you check into Orlando. In the closing shot with the drone, it looks like your wheels were on the cement but the back stabilizers were on the grass. Were they fine with that? Side note, you have a beautiful rig. I really enjoy your channel.

Hey Kevin, Thousand Trails does not allow any part of the unit on the grass. Our stabilizer jacks are between our tandem rear axles so they are on the pavement. Due to the strength of the frame which our unit is built on, we only need 4 stabilizer jacks. Thank you for the comment and appreciate you coming along with us on the journey. More to come. 😎

@@bigtruckbigtravels I just started following you regularly. I saw a rig similar to yours and wanted to take a closer look. I want to look back at your channel and see the details of you rig. I think I would like the dual wheels and I wish our Montana had air ride. Michigan roads are not great and your wheel setup with air ride should be much better than our current Morryde system. Do you find your current rig handles bad roads better than other rigs you have had?

@kevinhirdes8097 it does feel better but the suspension has to be dialed in properly with the correct system. We had the MorRyde IS and it was good for the DRV but I think our air ride is better.

I was wondering with the size of your rig and your using a Volvo semi truck and the weight of the truck can you drive it on a class "C" license or are you required to have a class "A." I know Super "C" RV's that are built on a truck chassis and have a tandem axle can be driven by a driver with a class "C" license because they are considered at that point as an RV. and not a freight hauling truck.

Hey Dave, in Texas it's a Class A non-commercial endorsement on the license. A written and road test in the unit is what they require to get that. Appreciate you watching the channel and posting comments. 😊

We try to be sensible about it, Alan. We avoid questionable parks but it is surprising how many are available to us given out size. We're careful and most RV parks are great with accommodating us. I will say, after nearly 8 years, it is still an adventure getting into places. 😁 Thanks for the comments. Appreciate your time watching the channel.

How did you get the bigger axles under the trailer

Our trailer is a custom build so it's based on a semi-trailer chassis. We have air for brakes & suspension just like a semi-trailer. Thanks for the comment. 😃

Wow!!!! We are sitting here in our living room in Waiheu, watching this video and when you said your name, my husband said that’s Hawaiian, they don’t look Hawaiian!!! So I checked comments to see if anyone else asked and sure enough! We retire hopefully in a couple of years from the County and our dream is to get a Class A Diesel 45’ to live in hopes of 5-10 years on the road. (Yes, we have our dream RV, but keeping an open mind since we won’t know what will happen the next few years!) After being on island 20 something years we want to be able to drive and not have someone 6’ on either side of us! We just found your channel a few weeks ago and are really enjoying it!
