I guess the answer is Fleet Fuel Cosumption, for every liter in Fuel in Consumption the Car Company needs to pay a penalty to the European Union €€€ or sell enough Electriccars. Thats why Tesla makes so much money the BIG Cars brands buy CO 2 certificates from so they don’t need to pay the tax penalty.

You're not going to find a new Bronco Sport Badlands for $37k. A used one, maybe, but a new one goes for $40k plus. Honestly, the best Bang for your buck is to go for a Big Bend and put larger A/T tires on it. If you want, a lift. You'll have better tires and more ground clearance, and you'll spend $8k to $10k less.

People always compare them but then balk when its said that the big bronco is based off the ranger platform and they are not anywhere near the same either. The escape and sport are more different than they are alike despite the fact that people who have never owned or drove either one like to say otherwise.

It reminded me of the Discovery II with the seating position and many other features, except it cranked when I turned the key, didn’t rattle, and didn’t leak oil so it wasn’t exactly like a Disco 2. Trouble is, you have to spend to get away from the 1.5 3-cylinder, a gutless engine that deliver slow speed, sub-par mpg, and sounds like a John Deere tractor. The 2.0 is only available with Heritage Limited Edition or Badlands trims. From my test drives, none of the Bronco Sports are really much fun to be in. And for this trim level, the price exceeds what it offers.

I think the issue at hand here is the fact that the auto mode in the Compass behaves like an actual auto mode, while the auto mode in the Bronco is much more aggressively tuned than necessary. This discrepancy makes the the Compass "appear" worse and puts much more emphasis on choosing the correct drive program. The tuning of the Bronco makes the GOAT modes seem less significant.

If you understand traction control or 4wd systems you will know that rock mode locks up the wheels the most aggressively and so it won't matter what terrain it is used on . All other modes allow more wheel slip. The advantage of going to a less aggressively tuned mode is to prevent sideways movement in loose or slippery terrain. The Broncos system simply is proving to be a lot better here at keeping 4 wheels providing power when needed.

@@Natethegreat200c Read what @Falcon-mc5fs said, it's basically what I was gonna say, it really won't matter in this comparison when it comes to the rock mode as most other modes would allow way more slippage which was what he wanted to avoid, which btw, mud and ruts modes in Fords are known for allowing a little slip to clean off the tires of mud or ruts that get stuck on it, so yes, rock is the correct mode, or maybe sand can allow for less slip too.

Wow, $46,000 for that Heritage Edition? I just traded my 2021 Big Bend in for the 2023 Badlands and paid $36,000. The Badlands listed for $40,000, but the dealer gave me $2000 more than I owed on the trade-in, another thousand off on the price of the Badlands because they were running a special, and another thousand because this was my third vehicle purchased from that dealership. Mine doesn't have leather seats, but it's the same truck. I love it. It's got plenty of power, is nice to look at, and handles the trails with ease.

The Bronco Sport: 1. Is far more comfortable on regular roads. 2. Has 4 doors, so it is easier to take more than one additional person around. Also, it is far less cumbersome to make a trip to CostCo and pick up mega packs TP/PT as well as giant jar of mixed nuts, a 32 pack flavored bubbly water, two dozen roses and a 27" computer monitor. 3. Is more fuel efficient. I have a 2021 Bronco Base 2-door that cost me $30,555 new, but I can see the value of a Bronco Sport.

I have a ‘22 Compass Product (Red). It’s quite slower than any other vehicle I’ve owned in a long time, but it’s not that bad. I got over 30 MPG on a recent trip from Gettysburg to my house at the beach in Delaware. Admittedly it’s downhill most of the way through Maryland. I love this car. One of my favorite “daily driver” cars by far. I can control most in-car functions by simply saying things like “hey Jeep, find the nearest McDonalds” or “set the driver temperature to 68”. Etc. And with wireless Apple CarPlay I simply ask Siri to make calls or send messages or play my playlists. And the adaptive cruise control is so awesome. And IMO it looks infinitely better than the Bronco sport. And since this is a 22, my fully loaded Product (Red) Compass was about $35K I’ve owned 85 cars. 5 Vipers, 5 Vettes, a Prowler, Challenger SRT, Grand Cherokee SRT, Etc. But for a little daily driver that uses regular gas, and has all these features, this is at the top of the daily driver list.

The big thing no reviewer brings up is Jeep offers rebates on the Compass that drop the price thousands less than the BS. And when it’s in “rock” mode it seemed to be about the same off road although I think the BS would ultimately perform better because you can “lock” the rear end but it does cost more for that and the more powerful engine. And the interior decision could go either way but to me it’s much nicer in the Compass.
