I understand Detra is upset and that is affecting her ability to listen, or think logically. Those nice ladies were really trying to help her whether she realized it or not. I’m glad she finally got a flight out to be with her family during this extremely difficult time. I am so sorry for the loss of your Aunt Ms. Detra, please accept my condolences. #RIP

What people don't understand is when you are in a plane at high altitudes, your blood thins, and you get a bigger "buzz" so to speak. It doesn't matter how friendly a drunk you are. If you're stuck on a plane and drunk as hell, you're going to be a danger to both the plane and yourself.

I've always assumed that it's because if anything were to happen to the plane and an emergency exit is necessary...walking in a straight line is going to be kind of useful 😂 Also, a plane is not the place where you want to risk drunken unruly behaviour, have a misunderstanding or fight take place, or have to deal with a person who is hungover. A drunk person perhaps can't legally 'consent' to the terms and conditions of being on the air flight either? Idk If the man wanted to go to work that badly, he would have listened and not drunk more alcohol...so maybe he wanted the day off 😂😂😂

I just watched an episode where 59 drunk green bay Packers fans were allowed to board. One guy was doing summersaults down the ramp. So you can't fly while intoxicated unless you are in an exceedingly large group, then it's A-OK. 🤣

If your flight is SO important then you should have acted like an adult, been responsible and listened. "Oh, I'm ok." It's like a drunk's mantra. Behavior like that is why I think that alcohol shouldn't be served in the airport or planes. If it is, it needs to be a one drink limit.

I called literally every single airline with the death cert and they didn't care. They are greedy and don't care anymore🙄

They let u drink to a certain level. But once someone can't/won't follow instructions, when they barely know what is going on (he couldn't even remember where he was going at one point), when they are losing control of their body (he was unsteady on his feet), and becoming belligerent (he was trying to insist he was getting on the plane, whether they liked it or not- then smo is too drunk to board, for safety reasons. For example, he might start refusing to follow safety instructions, might kick off if he is refused alcohol on board, might struggle to evacuate in an emergency, etc. Plus, he would become even more drunk on the plane, especially if he gains access to more alcohol. The thinner increases the effects of alcohol. It's just too much of a risk. The airline would be negligent to him, other passengers, and their staff, if they ignore that risk - and his drunken state does then cause safety problems.

The problem here is that people who get drunk, expect to be able to get on a flight. Or people who have an important thing to travel for, are self-entitled, no matter the rules. So, the only one thing to do, blame the airline, because it's obviously their fault that I can't travel. And what most people don't realize is, most times, like a weight restriction, is out of the airlines control. Or an issue with security. Security and the airline, are two separate entities. But again, most people see security and the airline as one, because they are all in the airport. If people would stop and think for once, instead of getting emotionally upset over petty things, I just think everyday life would go a lot smoother than what it does currently. I understand that something as important as a death in the family requires my present, but the reality of it is, if I cannot make it on that airplane, what is the point of getting all upset over it? Tomorrow will be another day, I sit here and watch these videos, I see the people get emotionally upset over petty things, and now it's years later, what did that one point in their life accomplish? Nothing. I've gotten upset over many things in my life, and I am nowhere near a perfect person, but when I look back on those specific instances, all I can do is, shake my head, and wish I could have changed my attitude, rather than be mad over nothing. And for the past two years at least, I've slowed down, doing my best in each situation to remain cool, calm and collected, instead of lashing out in some ridiculous rage or anger for nothing. The big problem, no one has any patience for anything anymore. Stand in line at the store for more than 3 minutes, and people are huffing and puffing. People have to be doing 60mph on the roads now, we can't do the speed limit anymore.

shady Lnu *Sigh* Must not understand how things actually work and how the human body is. Things like that simply can do more harm than good in medical work, and you're being a complete jerk just because her front two teeth are perfect. That's a stupid reason to dislike, and also, you can't blame dental insurance on that? Like, you must clearly not understand how all this works in reality. When you grow up and actually understand how things work, then we'd be able to talk. But as I've seen, dental insurance has nothing to do with that.

Not true, remember the Hawaiian airlines flight that had part of the roof break off, the passengers without seatbelts got sucked out, gone forever.

The supposed drunk guy at the beginning seemed to have himself under control. Much more than the Shaniqua on a power trip who told him he couldn’t fly. Imagine that.

Why do airlines overbook? It is called bereavement flight. I avoid funerals, if I can. most passengers who have been drinking will drink more if detained. Maybe the guy just changed his clothes, what was wrong with that. this flight agent was more determined to harass that young guy, rather than help him. Is this only Southwest Airlines? So must be the only airport;otherwise maybe some of the passengers can be routed on.anothr Airline. Is Southwest a cheaper airline. Does this site have episodes to see how the passengers are when they get to.their destinations?

Why is alcohol sold at airports and on the plane? I’ve seen video after video of intoxicated people causing trouble on the plane in midair and in the airport. Wheres the common sense here.

The “intoxicated” guy seemed ok to me to fly. I’ve been working for airline for 32 years and we can’t tell someone if they drink more they can’t board a flight. We can only go based of their actions if they seem stable to fly. Agent was wrong.

This show literally copied the show Airline. From the angles to the interviews and even the editing, it seems too generic.
