Why Gina Terrano Left Southwest Airlines as a Flight Attendant - Airline TV Show

Ойын-сауық

Hi Everyone! It's been a while since the Airline TV show and since I left Southwest Airlines as a flight attendant / customer service supervisor, and the airline industry as a whole, so I thought I'd check in with an update. Sorry for the background, but our spare room is the only place I could get some quite from my little unaccompanied minors!

I remember, and rediscovered the show here on KZread. My husband and I were great fans of the show, and are rewatching it today. I have to give all the flight attendants the greatest respect for all the drama they have to deal with daily. I was in the service industry for 15 years, I loved taking care of the public, making them happy. But today’s cell phone terrorists who are waiting to blackmail everyone they encounter............ I couldn’t handle it. I loved traveling when I was younger. I flew so much at one time that a flight attendant on American remembered me and always gave me wonderful service. I became disabled in the last few years and fear about flying now. I would need a bulkhead seat, and just don’t care to be a bother to anyone. Our trips now are limited to 3 hour car rides. I’m glad to see you’re doing well, and you haven’t changed a bit. I could never have done your job, airlines should count their blessings having such professional cabin crew.

I loved watching Airline. I was constantly amazed and impressed by the patience and self control exercised by the SW CSAs and FA; especially when dealing with those overly annoying self entitled customers who never wanted to take responsibility for missing their flight. To smile and remain calm in those situations shows that you and your former fellow co-workers have high levels of maturity, compassion and humanity. Congratulations on your marriage and becoming a mom. I imagine working for SWA was excellent training for being a parent. Continued success and all the best for you and your family.

After watching so many episodes, I always thought I wanted to work for Southwest, but like you said, talk about a VERY stressful job. One of my favorite episodes was when you became a flight attendant. You always handled each situation with professionalism. I’m really glad that Southwest now flys to Hawaii and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Also, one time when I had a connecting flight at BWI, I was so impressed to see that the terminal looked exactly the same from Airline!

It's always lovely to see an upbeat person who has made difficult choices and takes responsibility for them. I enjoyed watching your video. Viz. the cabin crew training: I was one of the volunteers to certify the Boeing 747SP in Spring 1974 at the big Everett plant. I wish everybody could experience an evacuation. Those polite, smiling flight attendants snap into training mode! I needn't go any further and I'm glad to say that in all my travels I've never had to evacuate an aircraft. But if I ever did, I know exactly what to do. Oh, the background! I painted my bedroom that colour three years ago. It wasn't an popular colour (like I cared what was popular), and it's turned out great! Except it absorbs most available light. I want to have track lighting installed in the ceiling so I can read. Thanks again.

Amanda M Hi! I’m so happy you found me because I did it just for people like you and your mom. I know there are at least a few people who remember the show! I still keep in touch with Nicholas Hadeed. I’m hoping to visit him soon and I hope to get him to do a video with me. Thank you for watching and please keep in touch!

Gina I feel in love with your journey with southwest. You were charming and so professional. Your smile was something I would have loved to see upon traveling. Your youth was incredible to have had so many goals and achieved them. I was proud of you like I was your mom😉 I’m so happy I came across your channel. And I’m so happy you have a wonderful husband and children. What a great beginning of another great journey. Can’t wait to see more.

Hi Gina, I absolutely loved you on Airline. You were always so professional, I don't know how you didn't get angry, I was angry and yelling at them for you. I just discovered the old episodes on KZread. Congratulations on your marriage and motherhood. Patience with your children is a whole other animal . It's good to hear you're doing well, and you've got good genes, you look amazing!!

I actually lived used to live in Dallas from 2006-2020 until we moved out to Seattle. I did a lot of flight simulation and I actually got to fly real planes as young as 12 years old and Southwest has really changed a lot over the years!

Hated to see you leave the show, but I am totally happy to hear how amazing your life has been... you deserve it! so I totally understand why you had to leave. Thank you SO much for reaching out to your fans like this! So rare to see these days. Normally you become a fan of someone on one of these reality shows and then afterwards they never reach back out to their fans. Thank you SO much!!!

Wow! Glad to see you're doing well! I can't believe it's been so long since Airline aired. I used to see my mom watch this show in 2004 and 2005 when I was a kid. I remember so many of the episodes especially when you became a flight attendant. I was 5 years old in 2005 when the show ended so yes I was quite young. I have very vague memories of those days, but later when I was older I rewatched the episodes all over again on VHS tapes that my mom saved because she loved the show. Do you know why A&E decided to end the show? Since the episode when you became a flight attendant aired in October 2005, when exactly was the episode filmed, and how long did your training last?

Javier V Wow thank you so much for sharing your memories of the show. My mom recorded the episodes on VHS as well lol. I think my flight attendant episode is blocked on KZread in the US for some reason. I honestly don’t know why they cancelled the series. Maybe people lost interest?? Have a great day!! @@Somerset3111 Thanks!!!! I had the thought of being a flight attendant for a while because it seems fun to travel the world. I went to Italy for vacation back in March and got the chance to speak to many flight attendants on the plane when I flew British Airways who have been to virtually every corner of the globe. It seems fun and stressful at the same time, but I don't like the thought of being away from friends and family for so long.
