this is a bit of a long shot, but I was wondering... has anyone over there ever thought of doing any of the recipes from Golden Kamuy? it's honestly such a unique historical manga/anime which focuses on ainu culture, and is extremely well researched, and food is a HUGE part of the story. the recipes for each dish are practically written right into the story, it just seems like such a shoe-in for this sort of thing. plus I've always been really curious about what these dishes would look like in practice, but I don't have access to a lot of the ingredients I'd need if I ever had a mind to try it myself. (also, if you've never seen the series before, consider this a MASSIVE recommendation... it's hugely entertaining in a million different ways, and I'm only half joking when I say it's my favorite cooking manga.)

I usually make mine with the one he messed up once. It gets easier after you do it a ton. Mine fall apart with a very shallow knife cut, and the rice is not fried rice but it’s a onion, garlic, spices, and chicken stock rice that I make in the rice cooker. It’s basically just salt, pepper, paprika, and some cooked onion and meat of choice, along with garlic all cooked in a pan and added to rice cooked in chicken stock. And then topped with siracha over the egg.
