I Tried Making The Most Difficult Omurice (Again)
I am once again attempting Chef Motokichi's famous omurice, this time with the Chef's own pan!

I would totally watch a worth-it anime lol. Imagine the drama with the transition to independence and all the interesting guests and chefs they’ve met over the years 😂
I definitely failed making this so many times. Chef Motokichi has that magic touch that is hard to translate through video tutorials, as scene by my many sacrificed eggs.

It muscle memory. Anyone with a skill does it so much for so long, things become muscle memory, little twitches and adjustments they do subconsciously so they themselves can't explain it.

I feel like he did it on purpose to get rice scattered around because he did it too well the first time
Motokichi tossing the omelet from the pan onto the plate and it bursting on its own over the rice is truly fascinating.

It's actually a good idea. In case he messes up, he has another try, instead of having to fry the rice again.
Chef Motokichi is truly such a blessing. It's just one guy, with lots of passion and he's just enhanced these videos like crazy. He wasn't even in this one and I still fondly remembered those past moments.
Chef Motokichi's pan design and entire merch branding is just an extension of his overall energy. Absolutely can believe that his general advise is "Enjoy cooking." He sounds exactly like the type of man.

Love that this was lowkey an ad for Chef Motokichi - dude totally deserves it! It’s also just so nice to see such a satisfying conclusion to the omurice saga!
11:04 he really just flipped the omelette from the pan onto the top of the rice on a plate

that's freaking skill right there
This is like kill bill stretched over four years and Chef Motokichi's pan is Andrew's Hanzo sword.
How glad are we all that on the one faithful day that keith couldnt make it for Pizza, Steven picked Andrew. And Andrew reluctantly said yes. (Memory is foggy)
Honestly, just seeing Chef Motokichi's expression when he cooks, even if it *might* be "for the camera" you can really tell he loves his craft, and is just having fun showing off for everyone.
To think that Chef Motokichi does this every day with a regular pan so many times, and it comes out perfect every time...What a master of his craft. You did a great job to honor him by trying until you get this result, well done!
I think we would all love to meet chief Motokichi one day, he just seems like the best person ever and omu-chan is so cute!!
I completely expect Motokichi to enter the frame at the end, “that was good, Andrew” Andrew: “T-Thank you... how did you get here?”
I don’t know but there’s something about him that makes me so relaxed
To be honest, The fact that Chef Motokichi has his own brand of kitchen pan is more fascinating than him being with Mrs. Obama on a Netflix show...
Loved this episode. Chef Morukichi is the Easter egg that ties the whole tasty culinary universe
Andrew comes out with this video Chef Motokichi tunes in to watch . . . Chef Motokichi: *tear rolls down his cheek* I'm proud of you grasshopper
I feel like a proud mom watching andrew finally succeed in making omurice.
Seeing Andrew eating eggs with steamed rice n soy sauce reminds me of how much I grew up eating that. I only eat it when there's nothing much to cook but u can never go wrong with eggs n rice.
andrew and his relationship with omurice is the character development I want to see
I’m learning to cook a wider variety of foods and I’ve learned that what Chef Motokichi said is absolutely right, just enjoying the process of cooking makes the food turn out better
I am so happy for Andrew. He lost so many battles with omurice but won the war 😌
watching Andrew's skills improve over the years is like *mind blown*
Chef motokichi is god tier human being lol
Crazy to see how much Andrews cooking skills have improved over the years
"Enjoy cooking".. okay I can see his passion enough. He is sure a great man
Andrew in a striped shirt and mustache, is giving me French Sailor vibes.

Fisherman and sinner are the same word in French... take what you want from that but I just had to let it be known
Okay, that pan is going straight to my cart.
Chef Motokichi is the physical embodiment of a smile
Andrew's got really good classical picks in the background! First two are Francisco Tarrega's Estudio Brillante and JS Bach Keyboard Partita No. 1 in B flat Major BWV 825 (7th movement Gigue) arranged for guitar (sounds like 2 guitars but could be a solo guitar arrangement)
*wipes tear from eye* that was beautiful, Andrew
Honestly man.. that was a really solid French omelette. You nailed this dish Andrew.
This is literally 4 years of progress. And I love it.
nobody: absolutely nobody: Chef Motokichi: A brilliant person with quite a purity of mind, body and soul that i have not seen in decades
If Motokichi was a Mortal Kombat character he would cook a steaming hot omurice and then lay it on his opponents head and cut it open.
I literally screamed when your omelet opened beautifully over your rice, YOU DID IT! It's been amazing seeing your journey into an excellent cook! ❤
Can't wait to see what Chef M has to say about this latest attempt! It looks a million times better than the past attempts
as a professional chef (French) I applaud your tenacity, I love omurice, your version looks great, you should be proud. now I want to make omurice. all the best
The amount of times things are literally thrown to the side in this video is... very pleasing. I was not expecting that to be a tendency of a man with this much calm energy and I love it
I remember watching second omurice video with chef Motokichi and immediately falled in love with his energy. But I didn’t realised it was Andrew in this video and yet still watching him in this channel, now it makes sense 🤗 It’s a full circle moment, I really enjoyed watching this ✨
You know that Chef Motokitchi is watching this from home and cheering Andrew along, calling out advice and encouragement.
Always a pleasure to watch Andrew cook and the process from start to finish
Always knew Andrew would nail this. Great job! Seeing videos like these gives me encouragement to cook more often at home
this must be a sign for me to try making this myself 🤓
Chef Motokichi’s “Do you want to see? Do you want to see?” was so adorable omg
I love this I can't believe how many years it has been and I have loved it all from the start ❤ Amazing job Andrew! You should be so proud!
I love how calm and relaxing this is
I was waiting for this for a Loooooong time.
Someone like me who has a fear of uncooked egg watching this video says about the power of our people... Huge appreciation and love to A.T.E
The classical music accompaniment chosen brought this video to the next level! The omelet looks so amazing! Great job!
That looks beautiful my man. Good for you on slowly perfecting this
You did it! Congrats 😊
I always manage to catch these in the first minute somehow.
Love the content man. You guys at Worth It got me through some tough times. Will always support your work! (Also that stache is killing it!)
I acquired the pan about the same time you did! I have done 2 omurice attempts now. I def have the rice down. I need to get some shumeji and edamame. I was substituting white buttons and enoki for fun. I did a more traditional ketchup version. Nice work! you're def getting better! Your smiles are definitely the smiles that Motokichi wants the world to have while cooking these dishes successfully. WELL DONE! Motokichi is such a grand human.
Chef Motokichi is like a cross between Matthew McConaughey and Taka Kato, two famous movie actor
The way he said “Velvety” made me salivate.. 🤤
Huge love to chefs who genuinely try to teach and help young aspiring amateurs. So tired of the "secret recipe, behind closed doors, tight lip" style that seems to dominate some groups of chefs. I understand there is a level of professional training and years of skill for some of this stuff, but Im glad people like Chef Motokichi actively try to teach and aid people and show them they're capable of something delicious with a little bit of help.
i feel like i grew up with this dish because ive watched andrew recreate this for so long. im so proud of him and ofc chef moto kichi for his well-deserved success!
it feels like he's matured by half a century UPDATE: its the moustache
AAAAHHH I LOVE WHEN U MAKE THIS
Good Job man keep it up! Love your determination & joy for the dish 💛

Chef Motokichi is just so wholesome. I always smile when he is in the video.
I feel so Happy for Andrew it feels like such a long journey and he’s come so far. Looks amazing
Compared to a famous chef who has cooked the same dish for years, Andrew did wonderfully in just few tries. Also I am tempted to buy that pan!
Oh yeeeeeah (in motokichi's voice)
You nailed it! Looks amazing
Chef Motokichi is literally the most amazing person! I love him so much!
i want andrew to bring his chef brother to the show and have them make something together
Andrew: I am going to make Omurice again. Hey look everyone a new Omurice pan, ladle, and mold still in its original packaging. LOL
Well done, Andrew! As soon as houston is cool enough to cook again, this will be my first learning project. Thanks!
Your music choices for the videos are really tasteful Andrew!
Andrew is now the most famous non-japanese mentee of motokichi. 😄
Is it just me or is anyone else getting Lorax vibes? He speaks for the Kichi Kichi pan. 😍
Chef Motokichi is always such a delight to watch ! 💜
The music in this is absolutely stunning!
I was just watching the worth it eggs japan video yesterday lol
For years, this omurice has been Andrew's white whale. He finally caught it! I'm so happy for him! And I think he did a spectacular job.
i needed this video, thank you
Bruh you actually nailed it like idk why you said the final omelette isn't perfect.... it literally fell to the sides so beautifully
Wait! What? 2017?? It feels like yesterday
andrew and omurice is like a frenemy relationship.. love-hate :)
You did such a great job! 👏 versions of Omurice have become my go-to quarantine “brunch” since I saw the Worth it video w/ Chef Motokichi. I’d love to try a real one made by him someday!
You touched on something that literally no video I've ever seen gives any time to: practice. The dude makes this all day every day; you're not going to be likely to make it first time, and when you said about living with the pan and getting familiar with your tools I wanted to kiss you. So much of adult life is immediately abandoning things you're not immediately an expert at, and to see you practice and improve was so excellent. Great video.
