They so willingly accept anonymous calls to initiate criminal investigations and demand ID but aren't willing to respect 4th Amendment Rights when someone tries to use them. They don't know who they are dealing with, that's for sure.

At 4:40 it suddenly went from "staring" at people to "harassing" them. In his mind, when he thought an ID was possible, it was harmless staring. But when you refused to identity, in his mind, you became more dangerous and were now harassing people. Welcome to the mind of a "trained" officer of the law.

How could they possibly know you were staring without staring at you ? I had the same problem without the police being involved. I walked out my home and noticed a young man looking at me, after locking the front door and needing to walk in the same direction as the guy still looking at me who had now stopped walking so I passed him and looked back and he was still looking at me and he said stop looking at me. Lol We nearly got into a fight but as I was taking my bag off my back he started to call for back up. I laughed and continued on my way.

i had a a Karen approach me in the park yesterday while I was walking my dog. She didn't like how long I had bent down to pick up my sweet little girl's excrement and asked me in a rather harsh way "did you just do a poop dump"....I was speechless. WTF is wrong with these women?

They must have been staring back to realize you were staring. And the slingblade officer needs some interpersonal skills training. Don't abuse the trust the citizens have placed upon you.

Might be time for dispatchers and cops alike to get some mandatory "KAREN" training. When a call like this comes in (probably on 911) the standard response should be "mind your own F'n business and everyone will be just fine".

The VICTIM, well that's a stretch isn't it, someone only has to call the police because they don't like what you are doing no matter how legal it is and they become a victim. The only victim here is Travis' rights

Which of Travis' rights were ultimately infringed upon though? Travis did an excellent job standing up for himself and his rights and the cop left. Wouldn't this count as an *above average* encounter with the police for Travis?

(To be clear i think it's /morally/ wrong that Travis gets approached by police so often for just being places, and he has had his rights trampled on almost countless times in his videos, but in this single specific instance all that happened was a conversation. I'm honestly not sure what rights you think were violated)

@@perlmonkee it was not a consentual conversation, it was forced by intimidation, 4th amendment. what would have happened if he chose not to answer any questions? 5th amendment. Right to travel freely...

Travis man I love how you talk them into submission. The way you talk to the police is the ONLY way anyone should ever talk to the police. I’ve talked to police when I was arrested and it saved my ass because I got them in the station in the interrogation room admitting to never having probable cause to search it was great

..so if a cop stares at me can i have them charged with harassment??? That would be awesome!!!

Somebody called in and said officer Manning was an idiot and his starring was making them uncomfortable. Manning pissed because he can’t illegally intimidate man into giving his id. Next officer Manning will be arresting people for starring at trees with binoculars (ie bird watching). Outstanding public relations campaign add for West Plains, Missouri and its police force!

Wow that cop was super calm & polite. Never escalated. Even when this guy tries to be combative the cop keeps it deescalated and friendly. Good job officer!

I dunno if Tyrant is entirely fair. He left without getting the ID he asked for, didn't unlawfully arrest anyone... that's gotta be ABOVE AVERAGE for an encounter with the police on this channel. His claim that he *had* to "investigate" may even be true (according to the policies of his department). I bet "audit the audit" would score both parties pretty well here.
