You dont have to turn the camera off everytime in OBD. Mine shuts off 5 minutes after you shut car off in O mode and only shuts off in - mode if voltage goes down to 11.6v.

I leave in and my dash cam records on parking mode, if my car is sitting there and car hits front it automatically records, car batteries has not died yet

I am looking for the same answer. No one says it clearly. No one says which mode it should or should not or can or should not run while driving the care. Lets say if we have it on surveillance mode and drive the care would it harm my battery?

Dude, you have it in "0" mode, which takes 5 minutes to shut off, not 30 seconds. Switch it to the __ position. I mean, you literately have the manual in front of you, ffs. LOL

Which ever one you feel more confident doing is the best way to go. I personally like them hard wired but I know it isn’t for everybody. In the end it comes down to what you’re more comfortable doing.

My car keeps getting damaged when it is parked. I need a dash cam that keeps recording.

There is OBD-II adapter that can do parking mode.

No, I always left it in one place. As long as the camera itself is off when you leave the car that’s the important thing..

You do not have to turn the camera off! If you have it in O position it will automatically turn off in 5 minutes after you turn off vehicle. If you have it in -- position that is 24hr surveillance mode which has a built-in intelligent program control chip with automatic battery voltage detection and low voltage protection, automatically cutting off the power output when the battery voltage is below 11.6V to ensure the vehicle can start normally.

You don't want to play with covers that state it's an airbag location
