It will not - fully compatible.

Will it work with a 12v (not 5v USV) dash cam like MyDeam MK1 with round plug 3 wires for parking mode?

Hi Lev, unfortunately we have not tested the MyDean ourselves, so we will not be able to answer you on that question. From our experience, the IROAD OBD-II cable has worked well for both IROAD and Thinkware dash cams so far.

Does this device provide the correct voltage to the camera? How? Is there an inline transformer that steps the voltage down from 12V to the lower voltage (ex. 5V) a dash cam requires?

That is done through the OBD module itself, yes

Wondering what the technical difference is between the ICE an Electric/Hybrid versions.? Just curious as to why they need to be different?

Hi TacticalPanda, unfortunately you cannot use an OBD cable with a battery pack. They are not compatible with one another.

Hi Billy, unfortunately not. From our tests, we've found that the IROAD OBD cable only works for IROAD and Thinkware dash cams. Thanks for asking!

@@blackboxmycar The convenience of just plugging in to the OBD port is great. But I was already sold on the Viofo A129 Pro Duo. Do you think the IROAD dash cam is a fair alternative to the A129PD?

What do I need for a cable to be able to CHARGE this inside my house as dont drive very much so this battery doesnt get charged up very much. ? Thank you in advance.

Hi, I am using this obd2 cable for my i road x9. I set the cable to P. However when I park my car and switch off my car, the x9 doesn't shift to parking mode. So I am not sure if my x9 will automatically stop recording after the battery drops to 12.3v or after 3 hours I set. Can you check it out for me?

@@koy168hk Hi Yeung, let me explain shortly. OBD cables have certain operation scenarios. To enter the parking mode, the G-sensor operates for 5mins after the power is turned off, and when there is no vibration, the ACC is turned off to enter the parking mode. Also, in the case of low batter (set voltage), if the batter is checked for 2 mins and maintained, B+ and ACC are turned off. Thank you

Hi Bobble, the IROAD OBD-II cable has been tested and proven to only work with Thinkware / IROAD dash cams. It will not work with the BlackVue DR900S-2CH, unfortunately.
