I haven't been on the path long now but i can tell there is something really important here. Can't quite put my finger on it but when you mentioned the background of silence on which things appear it's like a wrench was thrown in the gears of my mind, it just stopped for a quiet second.

Fred, this was just fantastic. Your words about deep sleep are as clear as crystal and I think this is the first time I really understand what deep sleep, and its counterpart death, is. I was sitting on my back porch, (three years ago when I was 65 yo) uninterested in the conversation going on around me, watching my breath when an almost physical shift happened. There was a very "felt" click (remember those tin snapping frogs we played with as kids?) that seemed to be coming from the top of my head?. Loud and definite and memorable. Nothing has been the same since.

But my direct experience is that it's true. Am i on the same planet that I was on last week? What is going on.? I don't know any more. But it's beautiful, it's incredible and thank you. I couldn't even type after one of your videos cause all my conditioning had gone pure. I didn't know where the letters where. I've been touch typing for decades. I wrote a big thing in your comments page. I like to keep alias on the net Thanks again. It started with the PS and I was off the planet and could barely see the computer screen. So presume it was messy!

Wow!! I don't know where to start. I suppose I could mention I didn't have the BB thing but a scarier than hell sound about a year ago of a Dungeon door shutting!😳 And also heard like a shot "right in the middle of my head," two different times. And heard a pop that I thought was my bicycle tire but nope. I "did know of" that no-thingness by way of Satori back in 1979. And in relativity felt like I could fall right through the earth. That's when the physical awakening was happening I guess (cuz they say there's 3 awakenings, physical, mental and spiritual I just read in 4-Dimensions of the Heart). That know-of can't be pin-pointed "in time" though. I swear I was gonna go coo-coo! That's where you and other non-dual teachers came in my life. Last of all a response to a question by Frank G. and related to what u talked about; this is a fact according to Thoth (in the Emerald Tablets), all our current memories for each lifetime is blocked out in the Halls of Amenti. (Which actually exists below the Great Pyramids of Egypt. And THANK YOU Fred for all your teachings, that's why I "go to extremes" to want to love u back with so much gratitude that it'll want to express my love for u till I depart!😘 Yvonne

Thank you Fred. I was hoping I would finally get the answer as to why we don’t remember anything before birth if we are prior to the body and the world but didnt. I get the feeling there is only darkness because I don’t remember anything from deep sleep either- what does happen to consciousness when the body is not there? That is my question.

This was a main (nihilistic!) thing that bothered me, and since the "one asking" I already knew could never get an answer, I did table it after finding so many other "answers" from non duality. Then I came across the concept of neural correlates, which correlated perfectly for being the story to answer this. There are many neural correlates in the brain that map to identifiable experience. Of the infinite colors, the ones that have neural correlates a person can "remember" (maybe accurately repeat selection of that color when re-represented it in color cards). For the infintite colors in between, we can't do that - we "forget" is one way to describe that. But really there is just a fascination with identifying as a separate character, as evidenced by the dismissaal of what it can't remember as meaning that what was experienced wasn't worthwhile! If a color is being enjoyed in a moment, "remembering" it is a pale comparison . And while we're wondering if that's true (using memory to compare what we're already declaring to be "fact") we're missing the current living color experience. Memory is equivalent to "riches". Dependent on them, they are a mechanism of the dreaming (self-prooving the self!). Willingness to use them spontaneously (certainly still feel like "my" memories though), they're freed (no more nihilism!) to still be used as stories FOR others as much as any helpful fondess for the self-story. It's the spontaneousness that is free and such a "gift" (memory won't "give" you spontanaity!). And it's so great that it would seem like Life fell into a temporry ("making time for it"!) glitch of trying to record such lovely stuff, like trying to capture lightning in a body. So it developed brains. Why do I postulate that? Because then brain, incapable of not reproducing how it was produced (while Life still spinning out the tale of separation), in turn produces records, photographs, dvrs, etc. Even "natural" memory isn't enough, becasue it's an addiciton way prior to drugs (but just "after" the constantly repeated "present" belief in a long lasting separate entity). We don't worry about not remembering something from when we were 5 or 10, and yet we don't despair that we and them didn't really happen. All the love that happened IS us, and it's just met it's match in "learning" that it can't take those yes, truly love-ly (graven) images with it! Because it would be missing itself, where and what it really is, Now! That's not a bad "step 1" to have to admit to, that what it got lost in wishing to re-member, it turns out is ... now/here! Which cycles back to the first answer (Truth doesn't go anywhere either!), "[the characer] will never get this; his questions will never end." Have you heard the song "Love is in the Air" by John Paul Young? It may be a recording, but since I'm the love it's referring to ... I get it! Let me know what you think of it as an adjunct to all our beautiful non duality talks! Love (always!), Mike

fred your teaching is beautiful and sharp as a knife, I discovered you by chance after learning from basically everything that is out there in this glorious era where we can feed from the truth like never before. I would love to have a satsang with you, but since I live in europe I am not certain of your schedule, can you please let me know? I am still young but everyday it is clearer... i want to dissolve in the only true knowledge, the root of all my feelings of not belonging even though things have been nice for me. Anyways I am just rambling here hahaha let me know if you have the time. 26:09 there is not a fear of the end of the experience /existence around here there might be a fear it will keep on going from meat coat to meat coat or beyond meat coats reverse type of fear awareness . so there might be two predominant types of entities those that freak out by the idea it stops and wears out and those fearing it will keep on going forever XD I guess you used to belong to the first type. as you dont mention toe fear for it kep on going on, not being mentioned, but the fear t will stop seems to be the prime item. What i would argue is not that case for everyone. although quite popular. Lets do Buddhism Hinduism, so i will reincarnate eternally LOL
