Jake just promotes the shit as real fights; he likes boxing but he knows what will happen if he fights a genuine boxer with above average talent and skills like Tommy Fury. Mike also is in it for the money, so people need yo realize this is all a cash grab on both sides. Tyson isn't going yo get hurt. My focus is on Logan being a fucking snake and pretending he was ever serious about boxing in the slightest, even as a cash grab. The dude seriously hates seeing Jake succeed over him.

Ive been waiting my whole life to watch a 60 year old boxing legend spar with a 20 something year old youtube scammer for 8 rounds! Growing up watching Rocky movies i always thought in my head "I wish Rocky was much older and fighting a youtube influencer 40 years his junior and that they werent punching so hard!" People get knocked out in sparring every single day. Think of this as a hard spar. One mistake is all it takes. Any time I spar I never become careless or comfortable. No matter how intense or not the session is. And I've been flash KO and have flash KO several times each way over the last 14 or 15 years. It happens. You're going to be able to determine the intensity of the fight and what's going to happen based off of the first round. I'll tell you that right now. If these guys start off in a brawl, its going to end in a brawl. It doesn't matter what the narrative is. What matters is the actions these men will take when that bell rings and the fight starts. Tyson will not go easy. Never has. Never will. In return Paul will have to match. You're going to be surprised. 🤷‍♂️

Who else should he fight? Build up his record with a bunch of nonames first like other boxers do? When it comes down to it all those guys are pricefighters. They put their health on the line to earn money. Thats what this is all about and thats also why those guys want to fight Jake, nobody is forcing them. Jake didn't choose who to fight, he made his name and old boxers and fighters from other diciplines starts to challange him. They are afraid of being out shined, and feel like they need to prove themselves by beating the current world champion. The average person has no idea what an exhibition is.

For whatever it's worth, they've already announced that they'll be using 16oz sparring gloves... so it's essentially a glorified pillow fight. However, the list of rules also specify that there won't be any judges, therefore, no winning by decision. The only way to actually win the fight is via KO. I'm not sure if that's going to entice either man to chase the KO, but those are the rules that have been released to the public. Official rules for Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson (Exhibition match): - 16 oz gloves (normally 10oz) - Eight 2-minute rounds (normally twelve 3-minute rounds) - No official judges, no official scoring - No winner to be announced unless there's a KO - Both fighters must pass an EEG & EKG prior to the fight (brain & heart checkup)

@@donnydogpiss4533 If fighters want a pension they need to be employees, not contractors. But because they're fighters, instead of working together to form a fighter's union like pro ball players have done, they remain divided and fighting amongst themselves for promoter favor and PPV points.

If you have to have those type of rules - you shouldn't be in the ring. Period. Roy Jones vs Tyson, now Tyson vs Paul. Will NEVER buy one of these types of events. You know how I be watching :D

It was a shame there was no crowd for the Tyson vs Jones fight as that would have made all the difference. Plus Tyson would have made a ton more money and maybe not have felt he needed this one. Even in an exhibition, I'd have paid to see him live in Vegas as I missed it live as I was a kid. I know it starts being like seeing the Rolling Stones as old men but he is such a legend and they put on a great show and even if it was just about seeing a show and showing some love it would have been worth the ticket.

we live in a world where Mike Tyson is a sane and prudent and articulate individual..... for those who, like me, grew up in the late 80's and 90's, let that sink in.

You’re the first one giving a new perspective on this fight. Very well thought out. I hope you’re right MMW, I guess it’s going to come down to Jake’s and Mike’s conduct, to whether they try to kill each other and allow things escalate or fight respectfully and with caution. Even with 16oz gloves I think Paul can KO an almost 60yo Mike - and I’d absolutely hate to see that.

They've already said they like and respect each other, so we already know neither one is out to hurt the other.

You have more faith in people than I do, Mr. Mixed. I will say, though, this has the potential to give Mike Tyson the closure and one last hail of praise that he truly deserves. Here's hopiong he gets it.

If Jake Paul set up a fight with Tyson in which Tyson was governed by standard boxing rules but Jake was only allowed to hit Mike with body shots and would be dq'd for blows to the head ruled intentional, I'd respect him.

As someone who is 57 trust me, there is a huge difference between 48 and 58 (Tyson's age at fight time). The decline in those 10 years is remarkable, and there is no way Mike can ever get the strength and speed he had back again. It's just not possible.

Old man versus old man in an exhibition...not great but alround dignity gets maintained and the risk of damage is minimalized. They can be fun for the combatants. Old man versus young man in an exhibition is straight up sad and should not be approved. The differences in speed, balance and resiliencey will be evident from the outset even with a very respectful Jake Paul(as I suspect), Tyson will look shakey, slow of foot and tired. Where is the dignity in that?

It was interesting to watch the Tyson vs Jones fight and see that despite their age they're still Mike Tyson and Roy Jones, Jr. The movements were slower and stiffer but you could still recognize them as Tyson and Jones after all these years.

I agree with Colby "The Voice of Reason" Covington. It's dangerous and we hope everyone makes it through in one piece.
