While I do have fun with what's here, this could've been so much more. The progression is focused almost entirely on earning new fits, you'd think they would've had a small city section to explore where you could see other players sort of how Splatoon does it.

Exactlyy i like the addition of cosmetics to customise your character, but they literally built spocco square....only for it to not even be explored further which was such a missed opportunity. They even have info in the loading screens about the different buildings and places you can shop but you cant even explore that ;-;

Most the sports in resort played like minigames. Wakeboarding, basketball, skydiving, frisbee. All either lame or simple

@@thetoptige8014 They’re the literal sport. Soccer probably has the most depth included in any sport game. Especially when you compare it to Wii’s Baseball or Tennis.

I love playing this with my siblings, it brings back so many good memories. But Geez Louise, half a year for golf is crazy.

You should be able to pick a default look for each sport. Specifically soccer matters because it changes the look to your team color and not every option looks good in red or blue only.

The type of game you're looking for is Go Vacation. It is incredibly reminiscent of Wii Sports (it originally launched on the Wii but has since then been ported to the Switch with various changes and graphical improvements) and allows you to explore the resorts openly and even has stuff to discover in them, beyond all the minigames available, of which there are plenty.

If you want free roam, get Go Vacation. The minigames are a bit meh, but the free roam more than makes up for it.

Added a sport that should have been included at launch so they can market it a second time for big Christmas sales like its brand new.

I can’t believe it took Nintendo this long to add golf to Switch Sports. At least it’s here finally.

Nice that they added golf and rankings now. My hope is that they add more sports, such as boxing, baseball, basketball, and a few water and winter sports like skiing.

I've been playing this game since the release date and I have unlocked every cosmetic until now. I honestly like this game. Sure it would be nicer if they had release golf sooner, but I'm still excited for it.

@@blqberry1 Yes, you can play the games solo against the computer if you don't want to play multiplayer online or locally. But you won't be able to unlock the new outfits and cosmetics unless you play online. You're welcome! :)

And all they included were holes from an old game. No creativity or originality. Golf is by far my most played game from the original Wii Sports--looks like I don't need to buy the Switch version since it's just a rehash. The graphics (at least the golf portion) look no better than the Wii version either.

You know how they always talk about spocco square, how it's detailed in the tips and stuff, why can't we actually EXPLORE the place? They took so long with the golf I thought they would surprise us with something with the update, walking around or "hints" of new sports or something, but no, the layout of the menu makes it look like these are it

Really could have used this update a few days ago when I was trying to entertain my family with switch sports for Thanksgiving

They need to make outfits available to players offline. Maybe allow the characters who have not started playing online have all the outfits of those who have on the same system. Everytime I play with other people locally, it is always 3 people using default outfit and one with something unique because the customization is locked to just that one.

Will never get over how freaking GOLF wasn’t included at launch

It does feel better, and the game looks better, we just need more games. Wii sports resort had more games, and it came out over a decade ago. Honestly, all they need now is basketball, boxing, dodgeball, and baseball. I don’t care if it has 11 games or 30, I just at least want these. It’s a bit of a ripoff to have the game cost $40 at the moment, especially since all the outfits are locked behind Nintendo switch online for anyone that doesn’t already own it

So golf wasn’t even delayed at all, just still working on it more before the Fall season almost ended, because it was still aiming for the Fall release, which November logically is within that time frame. If it was aiming for December (even later by 2022), then I wouldn’t have commented about it in the first place.

It doesn't hurt to delay a game until its ready as in a complete experience that doesn't rely on updates to feel like a complete experience.

This should have been the announcement trailer.

My favorite part was when Nintendo said "It's golfin' time!" and golfed all over the game. Truly one of the updates of all time.

Now I can finally use those Joy-Con Golf Clubs JYS sent me!

Imagine getting a physical copy to save space, then all the content is downloaded later on.
