As sweet as that goal was Samsonov looked like Andersen (Leafs goalie) avoiding to use his stick at all costs. Could have easily interrupted Pastas run with a poke check at the side of the net or at least attempt to instead of just hug’n the inside post. Regardless, Bruins looking scary good going forward.

I said the B's would win this series in 7 on my bracket. I guess I underestimated them.

Tuukka won this game for the B's. Saving 40/41 meanwhile they only put 19 on Samsonov. Thankfully the 1st line was able to find the back of the net.

most of shots were with low scroring chance. washington was completly out of shape - boston was faster, smarter . and you could predict that outcome if you were watching regular season games between those two

@@maksim82tallin right on. Boston had better quality chances by a mile and Tuukka controlled easy shots. Only creative play they made was Sheary’s chance from the side and Rask read that and made it look easy.

@@JayRiemenschneider thank you I’ve tried to argue this point with others that think the Caps lost because of goaltending. Pretty much all series we looked slow and uninterested. Anderson would not have been a better option and the score would have been much worse if he was in.

A captain scores when it matters. That is what Bergy does.

To me the things that amazes about Bergeron and Marchand is the that these forwards they really do it all offensively and defensively, they are very productive on the powerplay and they kill penalties, there are a lot of great forwards who are just about the offensive end. And pasternak seems to be getting better as a two way forward too.

One thing I noticed this game from the Capitals, there was no sense of URGENCY. They looked like they were UP 3-1 in the series, not DOWN. Frankly, as a Rangers fan, nothing makes me more happy than this kind of beatdown, and it was humiliating from a Capitals standpoint.
