When I was a kid playing peewee football, we lost a game because an official missed a call. Afterwards my father told me that anytime you play a sport there is a possibility that you may lose for no other reason than a mistake was made by an official, referee, umpire or judge. You either accept that reality or not play. I will add, that probably applies to those who are emotionally involved as fans.

Accidental trips which occur simultaneously with a completed play will not be penalized. Accidental trips occurring simultaneously with or after a stoppage of play will not be penalized. Not only that he needs to touch the puck first before tripping the opponent. Bozak came from behind the play and went through Acciari and never made contact with the puck. You might want to read the rule a few more times till you properly understand it. Pay close attention to the last paragraph.

The ref on the field even has a big "draw a box" signal meaning that a video review is underway. Sure, it slows the game down a bit. It can be argued all day long on both sides but the player was not injured and the Bruins stopped playing and u never stop playing til the whistle plays. What do you mean by the league stretching this to a seventh game? The league has nothing to do about it. If it goes to a 7th game it just means the Blues didn’t play well. Blues fan here, and even I have to say that should have been a penalty and no goal (in spite of my strong hatred towards Boston teams). However, I do give credit to the Blues for continuing to play and not assuming anything, because bad calls do happen. Unfortunately, the Bruins got caught flat-footed and seemed to stop playing for a few seconds, and you can’t do that. It was a bad call, but calls typically even out over the course of a game or series. The Blues got hosed on the “hand pass” play against San Jose, but also caught a break earlier in that game when they “should” have been called for “delay of game”, and were not. In the end, the Blues lost that game, but won the series against San Jose in 6 games anyway.

Bruins fan here - thank you for some reasonable logic! I didn't see the hit as intentional, but it happened, he even paused and looked up for a half a second My thing is - when we see refs pulling this stuff, instead of going after each other? Fans need to stand together and say "enough is enough" - so funny how Tim Peele just quietly rode off in the sunset with his golden parachute somehow that problem went away with Tim? I think this is an issue we all need to take on together. This Bruins fan has had the pleasure of witnessing three Stanley cups, yes I remember the mother's Day Derek Sanderson pass to Bobby Orr's flying goal The majority of Bruins fans are just laid back, they're not all over the Internet acting like asses You know how the internet works - 3% of users are responsible for 90% of the content I haven't been fond of every coach, GM over the past 50 years ... But I stick by the players, That's who we pay to see I'm not going to say this changed the series and caused the Bruins to lose... That's kind of ridiculous. The definition of a champ is overcoming all adversity, and I think the Blues were simply hungrier. By game four, I wasn't feeling it out of my boys.. there was something missing Or maybe they underestimated their opponent but I was seeing some magic happening on the Blues, much to my chagrin I just don't want to see any bad calls or hits like this, anywhere against any team.

Every team has been hit with a horrendous call at some point. Binnington made 38 saves and the "perfection" line have done squat. You let an injured Chara force a healthy player out of the lineup. Chara lost the puck between his feet more than once because he can't look down. Lines had to be constantly juggled to accomodate his greatly reduced minutes. Boston lost this game for more reasons than a trip.

Bottom line is this: Boston outshot St. Louis, out hit them, and had 3 power play opportunities. Binnington pulled it out, and just like the many, many postseasons before, it often comes down to goaltending. Would Boston have even scored after that missed call? Would St. Louis kill it off and gain even more momentum towards a shutout? These are the factors( or lack there of) to consider, had the game taken a different turn. It is what it is, and if you can’t score more than once on 39 shots, good luck winning a game. This call doesn’t decide a champion, and anyone who’s been around the game and knows for real what it’s about would agree with me. Bruins fan or not.

After Berube whined about the officiating after game 3 or 4 can't remember which the calls started to all go one way. This a great example of it. The other was Marcus Johansson involved in a no call where he was injured and yet the NHL fined the hit after the game. Berube is a joke and the Bruins were ripped off. That series was theirs.

@Eric James an "injury." Last I checked he got up and skated off. You probably think stubbing your toe requires 2-4 weeks of ice and 800 mg ibuprofen.

You just admitted how much of a scumbag bottom feeder you are. I'm a neutral but this is an insult to anyone who likes hockey.
