When I was rebuilding credit the og Petal card helped me out a lot but when they started charging an annual fee I canceled pretty quick. Wasn't really using it anymore anyway since I graduated back to big boy cards. Still sad to see how quickly they fell apart.

Same thing happened to the Tomo card. Once they added a monthly service fee, i cancelled that crap. common with fin-techs

I'm taking advantage of this year to consolidate all my debt and just have 1 monthly payment. I am closing out 3 cards I don't need to have anymore. I think I'm gonna consider trying to get a card through Chase

Sad. I'm glad I didn't get a card with them awhile back. IF things were successful however, I would have loved to.

I've heard so much bad stuff about Petal credit cards, while tempting I never took the bait I went for the bigger fish. Will be interesting what happens to the cards and current credit portfolios. Maybe they will make the cards better and not so sketchy, they can start by making the visuals more appealing.

Damn, I got the Petal 2 as my first card a year ago but also got a Discover card a couple months after. If I cancel the petal 2, my credit history would shorten by couple months? Would this impact my credit score a bunch or is it not too bad a dip that I can easily bring back up?
