The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is my number one travel card in the market right now. There are so many reasons that this card has brought me value that has outweighed the annual fee on it many times over. Even though it is a card that is easy to get your money's worth, there are so many features that come with the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card it is easy to use this card and miss out on things that you should know about.
I used this list to narrow down the 10 things that I think every single person who has the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card needs to be doing - right now - no exceptions! Something underrated imo is the travel portal They usually suck and are overpriced, but Capital One has a nice UI and more importantly, price match So you are actually guaranteed that 10x or 5x back on what you buy. So you can actually tack up points on not just everyday purchases

The Capital One travel portal is for real! I’ve booked a trip and gotten $20 in credit from price drop. It’s a solid redemption rate. Great that you can buy in cash and pay the purchase off with points as well

The SavorOne and Venture X combo is going to have most people completely covered The dining and grocery store 3% is really good and the Venture X is your catch all card + has all the travel benefits you need. I still think the Venture X is the best travel card for the money so getting that locked down makes this a great duo.
Is it better to upstage a venture to venture x or should I get a new venture x from scratch adding an additional card to my list of cards?

It's up to you. I value the welcome bonuses that comes with starting a fresh application. Thats where you earn the vast vast majority of your points. However, the Venture X is a unique card that has such good value I wouldn't say it's an absolute necessity to grab the welcome bonus (compared to some other cards where if you're not getting a SUB the card is kind of weak.)
what is the credit card acceptance worldwide? is this better than Visa card?

This is a Visa Infinite card, so you'll get the same worldwide acceptance as all other Visa cards. So pretty good!
How do you buy in the portal using cash and get points? I'm confused on the steps at 13:09.

In the portal when you select a flight, rental car, or hotel it lets you choose between paying for the item with Capital One Miles or actual money. If you choose actual money and pay for the item with your Venture X, you'll get 5X-10X miles back on the purchase. Then, when that purchase settles on your credit card statement, you can go back into your Capital One account and "Cover The Travel Purchase" with Miles (1CPP) to remove it from your statement. So, in essence, you will have gotten 5-10X in rewards for the purchase (really great) but used existing Miles in your account to go back and erase the purchase so it didn't cost you a single cent!

How do I swap out my Capital One Platinum to a Venture X???

Hey Collin - the Venture X will be treated separately from your Capital One Platinum card and you will likely need to apply for it as a new card. It's important that you do not close out your Platinum card! Keeping that credit history is VERY important to your credit score as a big factor in that is the average age of your credit profile. If you closed that out you would lose that and your score would drop. Additionally, the Venture X requires excellent credit, so I would only recommend applying if you've had your Platinum card for over a year or two and you have a credit score over 700. If not, it may be a good idea to continue building your credit. If you have that credit score and feel comfortable applying, we'd love it if you used our link and supported the channel! When putting spend for a welcome bonus do you have to pay off that spend immediately in order to receive a welcome bonus?

Nope. When I hit my Venture X welcome bonus, it gave me the rewards points as soon as I crossed the spend number.

They're all covered. However, I think you can only process 2 claims per year up to $800 per year in claimed value if there are accidents.
