Had to forward your nice little song, even with dark blue passports now circulating I still consider myself an Anglophile - it's a terrible loss being on a continent cut off.

I've reached the conclusion some time ago that satire and the internet are not compatible. Satire works when author and audience share common values and cultural references, but on the internet, you never know who your audience is. So at some point someone will pass by and not get it. The fact that everyone is living in their own media bubble isn't helping either to get people to have a shared sense of the world. Poe's law at work I guess. Just do what you enjoy doing.

I knew you were my kind of bloke when you mentioned in a 2016 video on the G85 that photojournalists in the film era could handhold their Nikons with the 50mm f1.4 at 1/8th second and get sharp pictures. Exactly my experience with my my 1967 F in New York. Didn't hurt that I'd done a lot of target practice as a boy. So I already take you seriously as a photographer and now I have to take you seriously as a man and a patriot. My cup runneth over. As it happens I have two blue passports - one US the other Aussie. The downside is that I have to pay taxes to both countries. The upside I get to vote in both countries - which these days is worth the price of admission.

To be fair it's not 100% clear that it's satire. The words used are not too dissimilar to what actual anti EU brexeteers say online and in public.
