Floor is so happy the she finally released her 1st single after over 20 years of singing

I know she called this pop but for me it really isn't. It's just Floor being Floor. This song feels like it is coming straight from her soul and very personal. I hear echoes of After Forever (Energize Me), ReVamp (Sweet Curse), and her YT covers (Oblivion). Just gorgeous and I hope more and more people will get to hear voice through this.

Near the end of the live-chat right after she released the Fire, Floor was holding back tears of joy. She finally got this ball rolling. So glad for her! A vocal goddess and a grounded, humble human being. Way beyond 'diva', just Floor.. Envy the NW guys, her 'brothers' as she calls them. We're going to see them live in Amsterdam, Nov 27th. Perhaps Floor will bring uncle Henk Poort along to perhaps do some Marko vocals (Phantom?..) Yay!!

Oh man. This is literally my dream and would be a dream come true to add Henk to Nightwish for at least half of the set-list. I have a good feeling about Nightwish collaborating with Henk.

Henk will be doing Phantom at the Ziggo dome. This has been set for 3 years.

Floor revealed a time ago, that her music would not be metal or not even rock. So it is like this, well crafted pop, but actually it is little heavier than I expected. The video is made here in Finland with all Finnish crew. ⛄👍

We all heard her versatility outside of metal and opera when she was on Beste Zangers and then when she recorded all those amazing covers, and even though the songs themselves were “heavied up” a bit, her voice in those songs showcased what she can do outside of metal. I get the impression that she’s been wanting to unleash this side of her vocal ability for a long time. She’s just absolutely brilliant.

What a beautiful song, haunting, and powerful. Floor is Fire.

Floor already has a metal band. She wants to do something different and also find a solo career for herself as another creative outlet, especially for after metal. You can't rock hard and windmill in to your 60's & 70's. This celebrates us all coming out of the lockdowns. The burning chair and 3 dimensional square are representing the sitting around and living in confined spaces for 2 years. It is time to unleash our spirits and live again. Isn't it great that after so many years she finally can present something of her own creation? I know for certain that the subject matter of Fire's lyrics lies very close to her heart. She outed her - and the music world's - isolation frustration because of Covid many times. Performance wise this was on a level that only a few can reach. But we knew that beforehand, didn't we?

Floor is so captivating. The lyrics and her vocals are sublime.❤

This song is about finally coming out of isolation after two years of pandemic. No one delivers a powerful message like Floor. She is so happy to be back on stage in front of her fans that she loves. You missed he live release party answering questions from fans. I will never forget that morning. She is GLORIOUS!!!!!!

When she announced she was going to do a "pop" record, I confess I was nervous - but pop means different things. It's not throwaway pop. Listen to the lyrics and it actually means something. She's singing about what we've collectively been through with the pandemic, and where we go now we can see a glimmer of hope. Musically, it's not far away from her wheelhouse. I think she may have a worldwide hit with this. 🔥🤘

I've often wondered whether Floor was a witch as she always had that magnetic commanding presence and amazing talent, plus she's hot in a witchy sort of way and now here we see her in a witch's hat driving a car and summoning lightning from the sky, lighting cubes on fire and brainwashing horses....I'm convinced ;)

So, I think Floor should compose and sing the next intro for a James Bond movie... Very lucrative job too, by the way. Compliments!

Freya and Tuomas were among the first to hear the song and thought it was great. Floor himself has announced that it will be a pop song, but I don't see this as pure pop. There are already outstanding differences and that does not sound like mainstream at all. It feels more like a hybrid. And the nice thing is also, it's still floor and because of the covers she has done so far, the genre jump doesn't really feel big either. But honestly, if it helps Floor to get the notoriety she deserves for a long time, then she should sing pop. Maybe the metal genre will get more people who otherwise only listen to pop.

hmmm I don't know if you're still doing reactions but if you are and knowing your love of Nightwish and Marco I'd like you to give a listen (didn't see it on your playlist) to their "Master Passion Greed", it's Marco on vocals in 2007 I believe and it's pretty angry going along with "The Poet and the Pendulum" blaming Tarja's husband but besides all that I got to tell you it's STILL up there as one of my all time favorites

Yes. I agree with you. She can sing anything, and is wise to venture off into performing solo music. I believe her single will reach #1 on the chart in Europe at least. It's POP, but sounds way better than Pop music. Floor is to unique to be cookie cutter . She is free to make music desirable for every type of listening audience out there.

This to my ears isn’t pop at all. It’s just abit more ‘pop’ than her usual stuff. There’s heavy Nightwish influences in it and at least at the beginning it had echoes of ‘Dead Boys Poem’.

If you've never heard Slow Love slow you should, it's really good. A different side of her, maybe moving towards this style. And I am fine with that, less face the truth. I can't see floor coming out on stage at 60 years old doing devil and the deep dark ocean. Just hope she keeps singing and mixing it up with all the talent she can do.

I have to admit, I prefer to listen to the song and not watch the visuals. The visuals can be distracting. I know there is alot of meanings to it. Deep personal meaning. But it too, is not my preferred taste in music. But Floor did a great job on it.
