I've watched dozens of performances of this musical, I've been obsessed since I was ten and it was on Broadway. I don't think I've ever heard a better, more theatrical, menacing version of it.

Floor asked Henk for this duet. He accepted on one condition: "I want to do it again with Nigthwish when they visit the Netherlands!" Which will be november 24, 2020. You know what? I've got tickets! I'll be there!

No she is not nailing every song, if you are a true fan of Nightwish you chould also know that Tarja have lot`s of more feeling to this song and many other songs of nightwish too. Floor is wherry good but she is harder at some songs than Tarja. Nemo is one of them and this song. But then again, Floor is not a opera singer ether so there you go.

@@tommyaleks100 Well Tarja might sound more operatic but does not claim to be an opera singer either. As for the rest, its much down to opinion. I never liked Nightwish before floor as I did not like the big vibrato from Tarja. As for Nemo, they are closer together in terms of quality, but I still prefer Floor on that one. There are very, very few songs with Tarja which which come close to Floor. Sleeping sun and stargazers come to mind.

Only 22 million people watched this masterpiece. It deserves so much more! Incredible! Both of them!

The fact that not just her high notes are crips and sharp, but her lows as well. Not breathieness, no forced sounds, NOTHING. IMPECCABLE!

Ok, everybody is talking about how awesome the singing was but man the expressions between the two! They comepletely sold me on the storytelling.

Henk was casted in the Dutch version of the Phantom so is bound to know the character really well. Which he totally brought out here it's amazing. Loved the Nightwish version and I was petitioning for them to do this from the start... And it's everything I hoped

She'll still be hitting that note in 20 years time ... because of her perfect technique Look at the likes of Jess Glynne and Adele - terrific singers constantly getting into trouble, needing throat surgery (unfortunately, in both cases, their "throatiness" is the main attraction - and it's the only way they know how to sing .. but it's abusive to their larynxes!) Floor is like Tom Jones and Sarah Vaughan - the older she gets, the more awesome her voice will be. She can sing anything! Heavy metal, opera (as you do ..), pop, shows, anything .. (except jazz - I've not heard her sing jazz yet ...)

Listening to Floor Jansen and Henk Poort sing 'the Phantom of the Opera' is probably the only way to experience heaven while still alive!

This has to be one of the coolest, most impressive things I have ever seen on KZread

Imagine Tuomas at home, drinking a bottle of Imaginaerum wine, watching this performance and thinking: "what a lucky bastard I am, I have best singer in the world in my band and she can sing whatever I write". And then he smiles and pets his cat like an evil genius. We are very lucky that she chose metal and I hope that she never leave Nightwish! We love you Floor all over the world! Everyone is talking about Floor and her outstanding rendition and that's OK. I'm 100% agreed, she blow my mind! but what about Mr. HENK POORT? My goodness! WHAT A VOICE! ¡what a interpretation! he needs some compliments as well the man is an "original" Phantom on the Dutch version, is unbeliavable, I'm speechless for this amazing performance of these two incredible singers and I'm looking foward to Henk join Nightwish next Holland tour to kick some asses with this man on board Taking TPOTO to the next level. floor did a great job, no question. but she had some misstakes in this song. but HE was a beast, nailed the song and really feelt it! how he acted was just incredible!

What I like so much about this version (besides the arrangement --I've always thought the musical score is a bit too tame) is that both of them have a very deep sound to their voice. It's a soprano and tenor piece, both the respective high voices for women and men, but despite the actual notes they both sound much fuller and richer than many of the singers for the musical production. Plus it's really kind of impressive how Henk Poort manages to have his vibrato stay /in time with the song/.

The absolute version of this song, No others come close to the passion expressed. The voices are incomparable!!!

His work here is truly amazing, I'm not sure about his track record but for this performance he offers an absolutely marvelous reflection for Floor's more wandering and wistful tones. He understands the role of the phantom, a very dark character, and that's why he sounds so convincing. Of course even if he's acting superbly alone it won't do much and together with Floor's interpretation of Christine it gives them the opportunity to bounce off each other.

He is well recognized and respected - and should be. They killed it together. I love how he looks at Floor with that proud mentor smile; The same smile the NW and Floor army use as we see her discovered by the rest of the world... Yes... we have known how good she is... from back in her After Forever days... Now you can enjoy her too. ;)

It’s addictive, so powerful ! From both but henk doesn’t usually do harsh singing, as in that growl!! Floor brought that out of him, it’s fantastic !

The fact that Mr. Poort has played the Phantom of the Opera and is fully able to immerse himself in the performance, plus the fact that Mrs. Jansen was fully immersed as well makes this, hands down, the most epic and inspiring version of this song! You two killed it!!

Verreweg de beste versie van deze musical. De stemmen van Floor en Henk waren puur goud en vulde elkaar perfect aan. Henk zou ook niet misstaan in een metal band. En de zuiverheid van Floor. Ook de chemie dat ze samen hadden was een genot om naar te kijken Wil ook nog een compliment maken naar de band. Die maakte het geheel compleet.

Kippenvel, iedere keer weer als ik luister, ❤

The old expression "Saving the best for last" not only applies to this episode, it applies to the entire season!! WOW... A season, this strong, this good, can only be ended one way, and that is with something epic. Well, if this isnt that EPIC ending we hoped for, then i dont know. Its simply amazing...

I came here to listen to Floor, but DAMN Hank just blew my mind. Expressiveness, technique, emotion, he commanded the stage and left me speechless. I can understand why the girls were flustered.

his decades of experience really shows. He really brings the theatrical style to his singing. I love that twirl he does before going hard in the 2nd half. I came for floor, but Hank impressed me just as much.

Divine voices!!! Angels came down to earth!!

Watching the other artists reactions, everyone of them a great artist by their own right, losing their minds over Floor’s performance, is a measure of how amazing she is!! It is not only for us to get the goosebumps!!

It is because they now see what singing is, instead of what they do. The bench cant do what floor and henk do. Never.

That's what I liked about this tv show, all the singers on it just cheered for eachother and there was no envy or pride. Just artistry

Basicly most all dutch metal fan knows NW & Floor very well.. Thts how they sold out the Ziggo Dome But it doesn't covered in mainstream media.. Non-metal fan only discover her recently from Beste Zangers

@@benjr4057 Sorry, I'm on the other side of the world, in Brazil, and I saw that Floor is our Goddess, but her potential is so great that the Dutch don't seem to realize, after Beste Zangers they saw that there is a Goddess in their country. So much so that her solo mini tour had all tickets sold in a single day, shows that reallity showed a lot about Floor's unmatched talent.

I'm Dutch and not a metal fan, just a music fan in general. Tbh I didn't know of Floor either untill this show. Floor does not live in the Netherlands and her music has the label: metal. And "most" (not wanna trigger the fan boys), people do not listen to that kind of music here. Also, when she performs, it's on rock festivals or concerts in Germany or Sweden. So, it's not really strange that the majority in the Netherlands did not know her before. But now she's known she will be carried as one of our national treasures. From every corner of society people are deeply impressed.

She isnt a treasure for Nightwish fans around the world anymore, she hs become best selling/export artist for Netherland With her immense vocal range she is capable to perform wide variety of music/genre. As we've seen from Beste Zangers. Those are amazing performances

It's not just Floor, It was the choice to put Henk on the show as well that lead to this Epic finale. Without both of them this would not have been made possible. And the session players (band) contribute a lot to it as well. But everything makes this great: The (concept of the) show itself, the people, the emotions and the reactions during the songs make it complete. This season was exceptional and as mentioned an absolute Epic finale. It couldn't have ended any better. Love to everybody on the show.

Agreed. First time seeing this show - wholly due to my interest in Floor's singing - but was pleasantly surprised to find myself lured in to the personality stories and very much opened to genres of music I would normally skip over. Very cool show and very happy I stumbled across it.....and very sorry to see it end. What a wonderful ride this has been....

Yep the last note was higher than her ending in ghost love score that so many doing first reactions to and its spreading .Nightwish will be the biggest metalband ever headliners at the biggest stages that are bigger than Wacken , why not switch drummers sabaton and nightwish she are sabaton drummers girlfriend.....i belive they can do the same songs with some training and they can be together with their child .

@@Vlad-wt8rl Floor didn't hit the high note as the original opera requires. I love Floor, this rendition was nice, but didn't give me goosebumps unlike with Sierra (with evidently better operatic skills...Not sure which version you've seen). There's a reason why Sierra is considered the best Christine ever - beautiful voice colour + fantastic soprano skills.
