Have had my mrk7 for over two years. 34k bone stock. Had the steering rack replaced under warranty due to “dead” spot in the steering wheel at highway speeds. Otherwise it’s been a great car. Love the DSG trans.

Check the 2 rubber grommets that the DP slides into. If one has gone bad inside you won't see it but you will have metal on metal contact.

Could also be catalytic converter insides are crumbling.

Did you solve that mystery sound-rattle? I have the same sound when I turn ignition on at that second I hear knock. When I drive pn a small bumps, I hear that sound, sometimes something like vibration on right side. I went on service but the master said everything is ok with suspension. Did you solve yours problem with car?

Bro.. rattles will typically evolve over time, they get louder. So it's just a matter of time until it will reveal itself. Good video bro, I like it a lot.

Brah, I would say 100%, any issue you have was most likely brought on with the mods and that is to be expected. With any vehicle you begin modding. My mk6 GTI was flawless until I began modding it. At that point I'd experience new headaches but each headache was due to a modification that caused it. I'm fairly confident that if I also didn't go down the mod path, the mk6 would have been mostly trouble free for awhile because I'm religious on maintenance.

@@LucasHuang I hear you man. These cars were meant to be modded. Like I would have never bought a GTI thinking it was going to stay stock for long. First, their from the factory power is garbage, and the potential they have once you get on them with mods is endless. I was in that situation also to think about going back to a "civilian" car, haha and changed my mind. I know it's more headache free lifestyle but it is not for everyone. I accept the fact that I'll have to deal with problems with a performance car or after I start modding it. It's just the way of the life of a car enthusiast.

Does your rattling happen when you are at a stop? Whenever I go crazy on the road and do pulls n stuff, everything is fine, then when I stop the car makes a rattling sound. But when my foot is off the brake and I move forward it goes away.

  • @LucasHuang

nah it usually happens when the car is jerking in like 1st/2nd gear but driving faster it's fine

Lucas, love your content, have 2 comments : 1. Instead of trading it in, just de-mod it a little, and focus on mods that will improve the life of the car. 2. You're getting fat, stop eating burritos for breakfast. Go look at your videos over the last year - you gained the Covid 19 and the Covid 20. Treat yourself and your GTI better!

haha other people might've found this comment to be rude but i love it cause it cannot be more true 🙃 i've thought about demodding it a bit and just go back to stage 1+ or something. i've only recently started to count calories and get back in the gym. this video will be good to compare after a months!
