We’re back in the Hamilton industrial Bayfront area today to see what might be going on here.
Luckily we were not disappointed.
We caught CN’s train 551 servicing one important customer - National Steel Car.
This day 551 lifted a matched set of eleven covered hoppers purchased by Chicago Freight Car - reporting mark CRDX.

Are these tracks into the plant shared between CN & CPKC? Who determines which railroad will lift which cars?

Hello bramtonite. Great question ! I do not have definitive knowledge on the matter. I have seen both CN and CPKC servicing NSC. I think that it is likely that there is some sort of sharing arrangement regardless of which railroad holds the title to the trackage. James.
