    It's funny you mention the stopwatch against Fizz, as one of my games recently I blocked his ult and right before I stopwatched, Zilean ulted me. Duskblade Vi then flashed from out of vision got on top my adc and we ended up losing the fight. Instead of blaming my Zilean I realized that it was my responsibility to use the chat to communicate my thoughts when I bought the item. If he has chat muted, oh well, but I'm all the time learning about the information I can be broadcasting that might give you the edge to win the game.

    7:59 Now I finally understand why stopwatch is so good into fizz!! I'd always heard that it was strong and only contextualized it in a 1v1 game :D That's really helpful, thanks Curtis.

    I love how you call these 'short form content' when pretty much all actual short form is 60s but compared to your usual content, this is indeed short :) great video! BBC + your videos have almost gotten me to diamond this season

    The way I like to call it and it sounds more specific to me "Min-maxing everything in the game"

    more realistically though, pay attention to what needs min-maxing the most and start from there

    Would u say the root of this player's mistake in the first example is not recognising tempo? If I were to attempt to trace his decision-making, the Sylas player seems to compensate for the tempo loss by overstaying even when it could have been avoided by not greeding for the gold (especially since the gold wasn't going to make a significant difference).

  • @moonage_
    @moonage_ Жыл бұрын

    So looking back, sometimes you just have to take bad recalls then? Like at that moment when Sylas took two turret shots, the wave coming up then was a cannon wave. Woulda been better to just reset and miss the cannon wave? I just came upon this concept of bad recalls, and I think it's (kinda) rarely talked about.

  • @zzdahaewae

    @zzdahaewae

    its not talked about because youre not looking at when to do a bad reset, youre looking at the huge fuckup you made that forced you to take a bad reset (or a series of small fuckups), with proper trading and wave management you can avoid these situations quite easily if you look into the review

  • @iFParasit

    @@zzdahaewae yeah but u cant just analyse this situationa dn say i jsut shoudltn have take the turret shots. you need to break it down to multiple phases 1. dont take the turret shots 2. accept that u fucked up and take a bad recall to prevent further dmg

    Sometimes we have to make a sacrifice yes. Often we need to find way to NOT sacrifice anything, but due to the chaotic nature of league we are forced to compromise at times

    I have a hard time differentiating between 'small details' and 'big details'. Surely if a small detail leads to a big detail it is a major mistake? Or at least a feeder issue leading to the big problem.

  • @CoachCurtis

    @CoachCurtis

    Жыл бұрын

    Well yeah in a way the small details ARE big problems as well right? For me I guess the small details are simply small actions (resets/a wave state/a trade) that lead to large consequences such as deaths/big objectives/towers etc.

    @@CoachCurtis I've lost games on Sona from burning ult on a low value target, which then means the high value target isn't cced and murders us all. Some would say low quality ults are a 'small detail' but they can be decisive.

    Mr. Curtis, I love you, Nathan, and the two of you's content, and BBC. However, I'm suspicious of your Thumbnail in this video. It looks AI-generated, or at least AI "enhanced" in some way. If it isn't, and you commissioned an artist, then I'm glad. But if it is, please please pleaseeee reconsider using AI for your thumbnails, or for anything in general (art, writing, etc.). It's convenience is built upon stolen data that isn't compensated or credited. A very simple analogy of what it's impact is to artists and other creatives is imagine if an AI was trained on the data of top CS:GO players and then that AI was put into online matchmaking with ELO on the line. Then that AI goes to world championships and wins #1 in the world, or at the very least crowds out several other legitimate competitors. That's what's happening with artists, and pretty much all creatives with AI generation in it's current unregulated form. Art, writing, voice acting, etc. Creatives are losing market share and their very livelihood in real time to AI, even though AI literally cannot exist without stealing their work first. It's very problematic on a human scale and really only benefits consumers in the short run (yay free/cheap stuff) and corporate executives (the people who are grifting and profiteering from AI generation on the back of creators without their consent). I still intend on consuming BBC content, and Nathan's content because I'm a Jungle Main, but I can't in good faith support your content if AI generation is involved.

    Man shut up. Using AI isn't any different than downloading a bunch of shit and slapping it together in photoshop. If it's on the internet and being used to create something new, it's fair use. You don't want your work being used? Don't put it on the internet.
