Goated video, covered both recall timing and inefficient pathing which causes slowness in tempo. Definitely important to know for those whose teammates die at teamfights before they're able to pressure the enemy turrets.

if I had a penny for every time I was split pushing pulling 2,3 or eve 4 people to me to side the lane while my team was busy farming jungle camps. like all of them were farming camps. so many games lost dude.

I remember a game from these days I was a support in mid against 3 enemies. Our Trundle was getting near Tier 3 and I saw how the enemies where going back to their tower tier 1 mid. I knew they were going to recall to kill the Trundle then I went chasing them like crazy and spam the Fight ping to my 2 allies , they followed me and bait the enemies to force them to stay. The Trundle was able to take tower and one inhi for us and we didn't die either, the enemies were forcef to leave and we took mid tower too.... So to any supp main here, as you are not focus on farming you can be focus on the map reading situations like this nd shot-calling your team, same goes if that Trundle leaves the lane and suddenly there's only mid being pressured, spam everyone to leave that lane as you are in danger, 2 more objetives must be pressured at the same time or just make them leave. Sometimes they won't follow your pings so spam make sure you leave too so they feel less protected in the lane and leave too

leo otp here. play around who is the best. the best mate could be loose his lane by beeing camped or playin against a good playin counter. so cs, gold or items arent the things u only have to look who's the best. u have to get mapawrness to see how they playin bad situation in a good way while you doin your lane.

If you cant match tempo. If dragon is spawning and you cant get the split push pressure going when it spawns its just better to be there to help prevent or get the objective. I like to pressure mid when i cant reach opposite side lane in time. This way you are close and can hover but also have the chance to split mid if enemy team is slow to the objective. Just know that you will lose objectives and get flamed while splitting. You can get an inhib turret but lost dragon #2 and people will ping you.

Aside what the other person said, you can also do this if you can't 1v1 the enemy top laner so you draw them to the side lane on the opposite side of the map before the fight starts and teleport back to the fight or teleport to the wave to push it out, forcing the enemy to match your TP then you run to the fight while they're still stuck dealing with the wave. This is usually how playing in the mid lane works when it comes to skirmishes as well, so I'd suggest play mid lane if you want to learn how this particular concept works since it also applies to the side lane.

It feels so great, imagine stomping top with a good splitpusher and taking like 9 turrets all by yourself! You are everywhere and nobody wants to fight you head-on, most top laners can win a 1v2, and you carry trough demolishing the entire map without any care for your teammates. Nice vid!

Totally agree. Yet, you get all the heat and hate from your own teammates all game long, lol. And also teammates not recognizing your efforts with the 9 turrets kill and just look at their KDA. Typical. And notice at the end they even voted for ff, hahaha. All the comments from the teammates must’ve been “omg Garen! Wtf are you doing? Join the dragon fight!” It’s over, guys, let’s just ff.” “Report Garen plz”. Glad there’s a mute all.

This does not teach you what happens in a lost game. Cant really split push when your team is constantly dead. The team I need to match tempo with dies before you can pressure the map or the team does not take objectives while you split pushing. I like how you said that people are always uncoordinated on the enemy team but they coordinated on that Soraka which won them the teamfight. Also I love the ez Garen game you had as an example where at the end one of the enemy teammates said report their top laner and jungler. Good teammates make good games.

If you understand how to draw pressure, you can absolutely help your team win fights by drawing people to you and turn the fight in their favor even if they're massively behind. This is one of the core concepts of how Thebauffs plays, and obviously something about his playstyle must work or he wouldn't consistently hit challenger every season. The key to this strategy is that you can't int yourself though, because then you're no threat to the enemy and they will simply ignore you. So in your case, consistently winning lane so you actually become a side lane threat would be the first step before you begin to worry about your team being bad or not. Also, you can't win every game. If you did your best and made the enemy top laner's life a hell, that's good enough.

@@Kamishi845 Well here's the thing when your team is doing bad then it snowballs for everyone. All it takes is the jungler to help top lane a few times while my jungler stays bot to try to keep dragon away from the jungle thats not there for them to win. From what Im hearing and reading it seems like I have to rely on my jungler to pressure something for me to do anything. I would have to sit under tower till I get help during a 1v2. Meaning they win lane easily. Its not about "not winning every game" its about "what are my teammates gonna do this game?" The game over if the enemy team has a jungler that is good or not.

Thats the problem. when i try to match with my team and draw pressure we talking about a losing matchup where my team so afraid to push so they just wandering in our jungle to get some xp and gold, lack of visions also not help them so its impossible to split. Even if you try it alone so they can see 4 ppl on the map who collide on you they not pushing or set up vision or anything. they just too afraid to push because they might died 5-7 times and the enemy has 1-2 item and level advantage. Also because they are not pushing the enemy dont have to catch any lanes so they can just camping in our jungle waiting for some extra kills, they can play together since no pressure on the map and you try to do it alone they can just easily rotate toward you. @@Kamishi845

and what do you do against splitpusher, specially if it's an immortal yorick or something?

When you can splitpush as a Jungler playing champions like Rengar or Master Yi?

Dear challenger players, in the last scenario where nasus was supposed to split push, what would the decision be if the next wave was extremely far away and you're on another champ that isn't as tanky, doesn't have nasus ult split push power and doesn't build the splitpush hammer? Do you still stay there trying to bait a fight while waiting for the next wave?

The only problem, you usually sacrifice yourself for the drake or baron, and your team not gonna take it. They take chickens instead. As 4. Or just wandering in the jungle, without any idea what to do.

Thats what I was thinking. I realize they analyze low elbo games to try and make points. But I don't think they understand low elo and why we're there. As someone with litteral thousands of games in low elo. What you said is probably what is gonna happen most of the time. Your gonna bait the team to come to you and kill you while your team wonders around the jungle doing who knows what.

C'mon Ezreal, you said "split pushing takes no skill at all" (10 BAD Champions that are OP in LOW ELO Video). Now, 8 days later, "it happens to be the hardest strategy to execute" (0:27). Good video though

But how is that wrong? It literally takes no skill to farm minions and hit towers. However, the difficulty is to know how to "read" waves and where to go constantly to create pressure and avoid fighting. That is really hard specially when your team is losing, because you're not always gonna have vision of the enemies team, so you have to understand about jungle tracking, pay attention to summoner spells cooldowns and everything

I backseat my duo because she's so aggro and ends up handing over kills or pushing badly, I've been teaching her this though - she split pushes with me sometimes now when there's a fight mid or solo is pushing top too. We tend to play it safe by waiting until a fight breaks out so we tend to be a bit late sometimes, but if I have good vision control I can advise us (I need to let her play duo alone soon, I'm a crutch lol)

Really good video, explained my playstyle in details and I also learned something new. For some points I disagree tho

I overall agree with your point about TP, but I think you explained why TP is so good is wrong. TP is good because it's the only summoner spell that can improve your tempo, because if top laners actually picked TP to TP to fights in low elo, you'd see them do it way more often than they actually do it. A lot of the time I genuinely think people just pick TP so they can TP back to lane for whatever reason, though you sometimes also have the weird TP to a large minion wave just to die before an important objective or due to failure to match your team's tempo. Which is to say, I think teleporting to a large minion wave about to crash can be a very good play to make if you a) have baron buff or b) want to crash the wave before a major objective contest or do it when the enemy team is not around so if you choose to stay to threaten towers and inhibs, one or more on the enemy team has to respond to your play and you can either get a tower or inhib for free or force them to make a tough decision, but let's be honest most low elo top laners don't understand this concept well, let alone how to apply it. If you're a low elo player using teleport over other summoner spells, I think you got to ask why you are using it and how many times you use it on average in each game, especially once laning phase is over. Because if the answer is just a couple of times, then running a different summoner spell is probably more beneficial even if you play a champion like Kayle or Nasus who is more likely to be dove early by the enemy team. Ghost/flash are very viable defensive combinations in the top lane especially since so many top laners also run ghost, so you can match their ghost.

Why is split pushing bad above diamond?

In last exemple, that's assuming the rest of the team will secure the dragon... Can't count the number of games where they withdrew for some reason and focused wolves and grump while getting to inhib. I mean, the strat is correct but won't help getting out oh hell.

That's what pinging is for my friend. Also conveying your intentions through game chat is not a bad plan. Telling them "I'm going to pressure their top lane so you can take dragon" or something so they know what you are up to and what they should be doing while you're there.

@@Shuyin128MK4 ever heard of low elo teammates? you can ping twice or many times, you can write in chat, you can do everything in your power... and they will ignore you and after you die trying to split push (maybe even taking a few turrets) you get spam pinged for "trolling" and ideally even "not helping in team fights"

On other video week ago you said that split pushing takes "no skill at all".

2:30 and these types of players like the Fiora here 100% think "I got tower and died, worth". That's the issue with not showing people the team gold difference, it's can be very hard to judge just how successful or how bad a play was, because the outcome isn't immediately obvious to a lot of players especially in low elo. Also just how bad would you say split pushing is on an ADC? Half of my games I do like 9k tower dmg alone because I split sometimes. It's not like I want to, it's just that I feel like it's what's required in my low elo games and it seems to work out just fine for now. No, I don't know why 3 of my teammates decided they need to join up with our Yorick for a 4 man "splitpush". I just roll with it

I tell you that if you are Mid and you are ahead being the reason teamfights are won and the source of magic damage... DO NOT leave your team yo splitpush because they are going to start a fight and die. I lost so many games doing this. Instead ask your adc or top (if the jungler is tanky) to push that wave and be near your teammates

Meanwhile my team just runs it down and team fights constantly and dies, completely ignoring pings. Every team is bad teammates. "Splitting don't fight" then they dive into the next enemy champion they find and die. Yep. That's about 98% of the time.

i always have the most fun when i get spam pinged and completely trashtalked with very bannable words because i was trying to split push instead of joining a obviously lost teamfight... also that seemed like the only way to get at least a bit further from loss as they always ran into those fights letting enemy take free turrets afterwards and also fought for DRAGON-1 when we had huge wave pushing our last mid turret XD happened to me like tomorrow or the day before that was a funny akali in BLIND PICK i mean yea i cant say much as im as iron as that akali but it still makes me laugh... most of my "stop feeding" deaths are from actually joining a few of their fights most of the times (few by my own mistakes too ngl)

Split Pushing is mainly for top laners, not junglers. Mid laners *can* split depending on their champion, like that Kassadin and Yorick example, but generally it's the top laner that does it because the Jungeler is needed for the monster objectives. You can split push as a jungler if your team is pressuring through lanes, but not if there is a monster objective unless your other teammates have a window to take it without you.

your job as a jungler is to hover around the objectives. When you see 2-3 enemy on your baron laner split pushing, force the objective teamfight. It's gonna be 3v4 or 2v4.

Cover no early game by runes lethal tempo bone plating so you can't get one shot and win extended trades against whom you'd normally lose, as runes cover your weakness and identity. Poke snd afk fsrm 10 minutes. Gz. You're ranged now. Abuse your laner or whoever comes and 1v2 with R. You've scaled through aoe clearing waves. Split and/or tp ro reamfights. You have mixed damage and a invulnerability R. How can lose?

This game is crazy, you had to play "bad" to adapt to the fact the majority is si bad at the game to get some leads, instead of all playing the good way u're all suppose to take

If I was that WW, if Zed passed me like he did to that WW I would have straight up dipped. I wouldn't have ran at the Zed knowing he had Fiora as his backup, those 2 champions together are like a toxic relationship nobody should want to be a part of.

85% of the time I match tempo and split my team will usually get wiped 4v4/ 4v5 while I take 2 towers, spam ping me and rage ff :)
