Neil Diamond . . . one word - LEGEND!

I was Migrant Farmworker, in the fields of California. He kept our hearts in tune with his songs,. Day after day of grueling manual labor, Neil Diamond was my escape. I loved his music then and I still do. My wonderful Son bought me tickets for his concert in San Antonio. I was in my late 50s. I cried and cried. He kept me going through those young years. I'm now a Doctor. My son gave me one of my best birthday gifts. There will only be ONE Neil Diamond. My God sealed away the mold.

I was in the fields too. His voice and words were so comforting. He sang so clearly and his expression and feeling were sincere and honest. He is still in my heart. He has a place in my soul. Thank you dear sir. Live in Beauty.

Saw Neil yrs back and it was one of the best shows I ever saw. There was no division, no hate, no left, no right and no one uttered the word woke once. There was only unity. Everybody watching this man at the top of his game doing what he does best, sing to the people and make them happy😊

If Neil sang "Play Me" he uttered the word "woke". "I one day woke up to find her lying beside my bed..." Just messin' with ya. You are absolutely correct. Who ever could have foreseen the world we live in, today. Even today's "music" is awful.

Yeah! Agree w everything u said. Just found out yesterday that he has Parkinson disease@ it made me v. Sad! I,m listening to his music since mid '80,s when I came to America w my new husband. And his song coming to America ,we fell in love w as new immigrants who wanted a better future for us.

He is my all time favorite singer. I saw a recent interview and he was struggling to speak. Just like me with Diabetes, I hate it. But I hate seeing Neil struggle to speak.

I love this song so much but cry every time !! So great this man is !!

How can people even compare music of today to this genius...Will there ever be a day where the music is awesome again. Thank God we can record these greats!

Do a search for Theuns Jordaan doing covers of Neil Diamond's songs. Theuns passed away in 2021, leukaemia. He was my second choice Neil Diamond.

Funny how his music lives on through generations and today music comes and goes, you can’t even remember bands five years ago😅

Even as a kid I thought, I am I said was an exceptional song. Written and sung by and exceptional talent, Neil Diamond. Thanks for the music Neil!

I favor Neil about everyone else, but in addition to him, I do enjoy listening to Elvis and Johnny Mathis. They all have very distinct voices. What makes Neil the most talented, though, is he writes his own music.

I listen to is music practically every day. I have been addicted to it since I was about 7 years old in 1967. I remember "I'm a Believer" running through my mind when I was in 2nd Grade.

Wow as I live and breath I NEVER thought I would ever see Neil Diamond on stage with Elton John Bette Midler and Alice Cooper bloody glad that I did though!!

I was born 1959, my mom was a fan of Neil Diamond and we/I listened to his music, most of my early years . I didn't appreciate his music until much , much later. he has such a soothing voice. Aside from Elvis, in my opinion Neil Diamond is on par w/ any singer today past or present.

I keep looking at his facial expression at 1:58 and then the nod at 2:00 where he realizes he has to get back to the song, I would love to know what he was thinking of at that moment....I'm your typical Stones/Zeppelin/Pink Floyd person, but Neil has also been there as well (strange bedfellows I know). He's certainly a generational talent, and always sung from the heart.....today's singers can really learn something from him....

I have loved Neil Diamond's music since I was 16 years old (1971). I have watched him perform live many times, I have introduced my wife and my kids to his wonderful music but I always ask myself the same question... Why does one of the world's greatest singer/songwriters need to pretend to play guitar ? Neil you haven't the slightest clue what to do with a guitar so put it down and do what you do brilliantly...Sing !
