Neil was so underated and all I can say is why??? Never got as much attention as Elvis MJackson, Frank Sinatra, any of the Beatles, Prince on and on and all I can say is why??? He was definitely one of the Greatest,..............!!!

me and my very best friend loved him we had a lot sing songs and dances when we had a wee few drinks, i lost my friend i december and this bring backs so many good memeories. xx

All I can hear is my Dad singing Neil's songs walking through the house. Dad's gone now but his memory lives on everytime I listen to this. 😢

Can relate. When I was a kid, my old man bought Neil on CD, but our family car only still had casette tape. So my sister and I copied the cd back to tape, to bring Neil on our family vacation. My dad passed away three years ago after a long battle with Alzheimer. I was hearthbroken. Luckily these memories stay forever. Much love from the Netherlands

Years ago my wife and I saw Neil at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. What a great performer! 16,000 people and it felt like he was singing to you. My wife was a big fan and that concert turned me into one! 😁

Neil diamonds voice is the best therapy at times like this we need that voice and thank god its available

Gives a romantic feeling of melancholy...whenever i listen to it..

The story behind this goes something like this if I remember correctly: Neil's marriage was over and he was alone. He had the high life in L.A. but missed his roots in New York, but no longer felt it was his. He wanted to go back home to the place where he grew up and had family. However, his career took him across the country and away from his family. That's where the "lost between two shores" comes from. He once felt home in New York, and then home in L.A. But at this point in his life he didn't feel like he belonged to either place. As a side note, Neil is Jewish and made some great Christmas music. He's now 82 years old. PS: I saw Neil on a talk show and he discussed the New York/L.A. line and how it came to be.

I saw him in LA. Very very very talented. Hes aroind 6'4", and quite handsome. His voice with his songs make for a unique beatiful moving concert.

Real diamond never broken

Attended his concert in Munich Germany in '70 - He sang for 4 hours when he realized a large portion of audience was American Service Men and Women! Thanks for those memories!

During the week before Christmas, I drove continously from New York to Alberta in one setting, non-stop. I had Neil's album to punch me.
