@@bcal4877 Yes we did, despite being mature Boomers we were both very young at heart, went everywhere together always holding hands just like first loves do. we still drove around in the same old car that we started dating in all those years ago because of the beautiful memories it helped to give us, now I want to restore it back to its former glory

My Heart goes out to you, having had a very similar experience myself nearly 3 years ago hold fast to the wonderful memories that the 2 of you made they will sustain you through the darkest hours of pain & grief. Time does heal the pain eventually, but every so often the grief will bite you but love conquers that pain and you'll find that you can live again, difficult at first but trust me, after a while you'll get back on your feet . It was my pastors funeral today and while the photo slide was being shown, they played this song...one of his favourites 😢 passed sway on Christmas Eve just after 11 at the age of 54, aggressive cancer....the loss is enormous 😢 our church is in shock and although he is at home with the Lord..... it's way to soon 💔

One of my all time favourites Bruce songs. Watched him sing it live at Bramhall Lane, Sheffield, UK when I was 15 years old. From then on, I was hooked. I'm 50 now, and going to see him this week for the 6th time.

I’m closing in on 36 (so 2x your age) and constantly feel born in the wrong generation myself. I grew up on Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Doobie Brothers/Allman Brothers, Stones, Beatles, The Eagles, Bowie, and many more but Elton John being the biggest impact on my life. Watching Almost Famous in Theaters 3x with my Mom is something I’ll always cherish as it was like stepping back into a time when I felt most “at home”. It’s wonderful that people like you & I are able to connect with the words & music of the generations that came before, as they are truly the epitome of what GREAT music IS. Keep listening & exploring the greats & never let anyone put down what music you find loving & know that you aren’t the only one. @@FigmentForever 37 here, almost 38. Im technically an older millenial but grew up more like a gen x with a lil boomer sprinkled in there with how old my parents are. I was raised on the classics at home and alternative and rap at school. I like a little of everything. Except country, very little of it i like and im from the south.

That bridge starting with "the road is dark", those chords...it gives me goosebumps.

At the height of his career Bruce had enough of Bruce and did just what he did after The River , he stopped the momentum and made a low- fi , non radio friendly masterpiece Nebraska.. I first found Bruce through Born In The USA ( I was 14 , I remember liking ' Hungry Heart ' but, I was 10 and 4 years was a life time ago back then).. . when I first heard Tunnel Of Love , I wouldn't admit it then but, I was a bit disappointed , however I really like Tougher Than The Rest and as I grew older I began to really appreciate the album but, this song has had me from the first listen and it gets better and better and I do think it's one of the most beautiful songs in the world , and Bruce is singing with his heart on his sleeve, this is so real , so magical and like it was said in a previous comment " it touches on every emotion " that is dead on as it gets !!
