This song never fails to put a smile on me and my wife of 41 yrs to dance a little. Such happy days.

No matter who the singer is, no matter what song it is, there's no other song or performer who has this effect on a crowdl. All ages and all venues, it's the same

At 63, I will always LOVE this song!!! Over and over and over again!!!! Was in the 7th grade and this song has stuck with me through ALL these years!! Thank you Neil Diamond for this timeles gem!!

I was babysitting my soph year in High School (1973) and the parents had Neil Diamond albums. First time I heard him and fell in love.

More than 50yrs of release of this song yet I can't get enough of it. This song is timeless. Thank you, Niel Diamond.

Whereas my singer ELVIS brilliant at singing but could not write a song if his life depended on it. Strange really Elvis can take a song apart, make some alterations to the song and it's great. wow I've been lisening to him when i was in 9th.grade in Perrysburg Ohio.my father had all his tapes and i have themm all and up dates ..I see Neil Dimond in bell bottoms in 1971 and i wore them in the 70s too..high school ...😂❤ his hair was like my 70s friends with side burns ..2022 now bell bottoms are back and im wearing them😂 again..2020 started getting the 70s grove back ..Neils songs are still in heavy in the North East Toledo Ohio and Michigan...an ...Neil sings of his personal life and past and his unusual personal self his feelings I'm that away..Man he's one of a kind i was in to the Bee Gees not rock ..Elvis some but ,he had a bad 👎 down fall with women ...turn off but i liked his songs..Neil songs are from a true heart...i always wanted to see him in person an give him big hug ..maybe yet....I pray hard for that... hello Neil if you read this..i wondered if he reads comments...😮 thank you from Perrysburg Ohio ...still here..Still lots of farm land.. as i hear his songs daily i will always have a little cry and think about the world situation we are in ...and his songs bring out the turth... Try typos: what the fuck is wrong with you Neil Diamond fans, the man was a brilliant song writer. Could not sing a fucking fact!! Get your ears checked must have damaged your hearing listening to him try to sing. Elvis kills his version of Sweet Caroline. That is how the song should sound when performed correctly. Not the way Neil sings it, God I cannot sing still sound better than Neil a fucking fact. Nothing against Neil brilliant brilliant song writer, not a singers arse hole!!!

This song has a lot of meaning for me. It came out the summer before my family split up. That summer, my stepsiblings and neighbors and I played touch football in the yard and had a great time. Then Dad and stepmother divorced and this song somehow made things better. I have to say, though, I like it a lot better when it is sung simply without the additional lyrics.
