Negotiate a Higher Salary with 4-Steps |
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I didn't negotiate my first salary. That mistake cost me $10,000…
A matter of months later, I found out that a friend who started at the same time in the same position (and with the same prior experience) was on $10,000 more than me.
Why?
He negotiated.
Fast forward 2 years and I was in a position to negotiate again- only this time I’d done my research and prepared- And I confidently negotiated a +45% increase - IN THE SAME COMPANY!
Why do I share this?
Because I don't want you to miss out on being paid what you're worth.
And the fact is that if you don't advocate for yourself, no-one else will.
This loss of income can really add-up over the next 5, 10 or 20 years. Failing to negotiate can mean leaving the equivalent of a down-payment, your child’s college fund or transitioning to your own business.
This is why I'm giving away my Salary Negotiation Guide to take the guesswork out of it - and it’s 100% FREE.
It’s a straightforward, step-by-step playbook for securing the salary you deserve (even if you’ve never negotiated before), with sample scripts.

That is very on point. I have been self-employed for a couple decades now and haven't dealt with this myself but this is the exact advice I give to many clients in this situation in my sessions and this is great validation I'm giving the right advice intuitively from someone who knows the game better than myself. thank you
I normally follow the decline route which sometimes make me feel ungrateful but the suggestions you offer are a great way of ensuring a sustainable relationship between clients and the potential service provider for the case of any future job prospects . Thanks!
#4 was so eloquent and graceful. I’m forged
Thank you!! I needed to see this today. Tomorrow HR is officially offering me my new role, and I'm needing to be proactive in the case I'm low balled. Everything in this video is perfectly stated, respectful and shows that you know your stuff! You are very much appreciated.
Wow Shadé, this is exactly what I helped my girlfriend with several months ago without knowing it! We did all these steps and I told her to tell them her value and what she brings and it worked, they revised the original figure and agreed that what she brought to the table (your steps 3 and 4) was worth the extra she was asking for and gave her a higher offer, which she accepted.
Every video of yours is interesting. That's why it's so nice to learn.
HR will hear only X. Before we reveal X, we should be ready to accept X as negotiated salary.
Very useful tips.
Your advice is amazing 🌷🎵🎶

Got the salary discussion interview today. Let’s hope these tips work.
N U did it again!! Help me out in my moment of dilemma ❤
Ascertaining the salary range is a job in itself but worthwhile
The problem is, here in our country thats a red flag. Which make me upset to HR.
Okay, okay!!! You've won us over! When can you start??? 😂 Great post ❤
Will put into practice next time.... Thank you

Fortune favors the brave that take action. Don't be afraid to take the initiative and negotiate when it's well deserved. There's nothing to lose.
I got burned twice throughout my career asking for a raise. Not only I got turned down but right away it causes hostility from the manager. In addition to that it’s a very painful rejection. I learned my lessons and if I am not happy with pay I just start looking for another job. If they need you they will match or offer more when you give your 2 weeks notice, that has far more success rate in my observation.
But often what I hear in return is , if you prove after joining we would definitely address the package you preffered . But infact most of the time it doesnot happen
This is what I was looking for..
Thank you. Next.

How do you find out market value of a role
I used this technique for my previous job and ended up getting $8,000 more a year just because I asked
Wowww!!! But I think my brain freeze in this situation...in any situation. Can you talk about how to avoid or manage when your braim is frozen in different situations? Thank you

hi , what software do you use for subtitles?

Of course the salary is Always lower! I would do the same thing then negotiate even lower if they don’t pick the job!

In India, they will show you the door no matter how talented you are.
Sir this is dominoes
This doesn't work in Dubai. They will just hire the next person.
Then they go on to say wel, this is what we are offering but we will increase it soon. 1 year in and they say they can't increase.
Gulp, the response tho...?
Ethically make use of "fairness" .. I'm only asking what I think is fair..
We don't have a skill to share now. We just want to work for you and develop what's you wasn't knew before. It's our resume. the story we'll create with our niches. Can you be the personne who'll write our personal resume?
Why am i getting these videos at a very inopportune time? Great if I didn't have to find a job, negotiation? I would be happy if i get the call for interview. This is so unrealistic. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that
Just asking, got this idea from chatgpt? No offense, nothing, just asking

You negotiate for us and propose my salaries contributions. About the responsability my job will ask me to prouve daily etc...👂
This will work if they look and speak like you. These rules are good but do not apply for everyone, not JUST for everyone sad to say😢
Are u from 40s
These are brilliant suggestions, there is an alternative when negotiating salary. For corporate jobs, the roles are usually mapped to pay bands for the specific job function. Depending on who you are talking with about the salary you have a few more tools. “I am grateful for this opportunity, can you share the mid point of this salary and is scale on a local level versus a national level?” Understanding midpoints is crucial in salary negotiations but very few are aware.
