Navy SEAL lives with Hawks owner as personal trainer

Atlanta Hawks owner Jesse Itzler invited Navy SEAL David Goggins to live with his family for a month as his personal trainer. That is the subject of Itzler’s new book, “Living with a SEAL: 31 Days Training with the Toughest Man on the Planet.” Itzler and Goggins join “CBS This Morning” to discuss what drove the them through the experience.

So when this dude feels comfortable and cozy.... he’s really uncomfortable on the inside and waiting til he can feel pain again. @@hellomotto339 You'd be surprised how "easy" backflips are ! I trained on a mat at first with help of a friend to add more rotation and then I tried unassisted and landed on my knees. You really don't need that much strength (as long as you're not too heavy) and the technique is quite simple. It's 90% in the head. I'm too scared to try on the ground though.

"When your brain says you are done, you only 40% done" I think I just realized something as I was thinking about this. First I was thinking "Man, I wonder if pushing your body to the limit over and over again each and every day is actually counter productive and will make you less healthy because your body can never regenerate" but then I also realized that there is a good natural reason that our brains tell our bodies to stop when we in reality could endure much more and that is, that in nature it would always be a good idea to have some kind of a reserve for intense situations (running away from a wild animal or what not) but modern people don't really need that reserve in 99.99% of life. So I feel like it's perfectly reasonable to push our boundaries like that...

Surprised to see so many negative comments. I read the book and found it very motivational and SEAL, David Goggins, is a badass. His words and actions, although minimal had a huge impact on me. So much so that I even started running and I HATE running. It's been a year since reading the book and I don't remember much about Jesse but will never forget David Goggins. Oh, and I'll never date a woman who wears Spanx, created by Jesse's billionaire wife.
