David Goggins: How I Went From 300 Pounds To Becoming A Navy SEAL
Ойын-сауық
Before David Goggins decided he wanted to join the Navy SEALs, he weighed 297 pounds, worked nights as an exterminator and routinely ate "a box of mini donuts and a chocolate milkshake."

This is why some people that chased a very unlikely dream became successful. They already hit rock bottom and weren't afraid of it anymore. So they pursued their dream not being afraid of losing what they have (such as most people who have a full-time job and are afraid to lose the security so they might not open up their own business). They've already been there so they aren't afraid of going back. Only way from there was up.

Repent of sin and Trust in Jesus! John 14:6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Matthew 7:13-23 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. --

I water fasted a week and lost 15lb - probably mostly water weight but still felt enlightening and made me realize how much emotion is connected to my eating and drinking - a realization that the same emotion needs to be tapped into exercise and other healthy activities besides eating. Hardest part was going to sleep sometimes - my mind thinking "is this fast ok, is this ok? didn't eat, are you ok." Comfort is not happiness, happiness requires discomfort, growth, adventure, merit, legacy to tell. Goggin's has a legacy of the human spirit - how much we can change now The food must be the fuel, the happiness must be the lifestyle

Couldn't believe, you had such a history with a different body.. inspiring
I can relate to the water exercises, doing my dive masters I had quite a lot of sketchy moments, can be scary for sure. But once you overcome the fears it gets really easy.
It's always the water. being underwater always bugs the most people out. I remember doing dunker with people who had no problem swimming at the lake on post but as soon as the water goes up your legs and chest and finally your head people just lose it. mad respect for having that level of fear and doing probably the single most intense thing possible involving that fear

You should consider reading his book named can't hurt me, such a masterpiece
I gout out of the Army and within 5 years, I gained 40 lbs (240 lbs). Later on, when my (wife's) daughter died, I got depressed and within a month, I gained additional 40 lbs (280 lbs). It took me 4 years to get back to 215 lbs (lost 65 lbs) slowly through small changes over long periods of time and changing how frequently I ate certain foods (which sometime painlessly lead to elimination). I started easing back into exercise routine. I did it slowly. Remember: on The Biggest Loser, they have cardiologists and other doctors standing around, they are not standing around you! Take it easy at 1st! I started by walking 10 minutes and lifting light weights. Later, I extended it to 35 minutes. Later yet, I started adding running intervals and heavier weights. Eventually, I started doing chin ups , real runs, and heavier weights. I am still a work in progress. I am still 6 months away from Army's infantry shape.
All I know It wasn’t easy to be like you In 3 weeks I am proud of you bro!
This guy has got great heart and determination. This is what a hero looks like!

Man that’s awesome, my grandson also wants to be a navy seal and has been training since he was 7 and now he is 12 he works very hard everyday
He embraced the fight--plain and simple. As I tell my own subscribers. The hard times can make you stronger but only if you allow yourself to absorb the lessons learned and the tenacity it took to get through them. Because if you don't, tough times can bury you as well. If you give up with every road block then it will become the pattern for your life. If you develop a fighting mentality however, no matter what, then not only will the tough times be less in duration but when the times aren't hard you will advance even more so. The problem is we live in a generation of coddle now. We are telling them tough times should fall on society to get you through. And that will set someone up for an unfulfilled life. But if you keep your sword razor sharp, you will find that you will be prepared to use it quickly and won't even have to draw it nearly as much. Hope this helps someone out there---Charles
People like this guy are really my motivation
He is an inspiration indeed. He will change many people's lives for the better.
One time for the editor that had to cut around his cussing.

The best!
Beautiful story and thank God they give people a second chance
100% recommend his audiobook. The detailed backstory behind his life makes everything he challenges us to do that much more real.

This guy is a beast, i need his motivation for everything....wow
My drill Sargent talked abt him a lot and would motivate us to never quit..
Thanx for your service. I hope you motivate and mentor a lot of youth. Your a good person.
This man does not fear fears. Instead, fear fears this man.....
When has loving oneself become taboo?? This is what every human should strive for, good health!!
How does someone change their whole life like this? It’s remarkable.
This is the most inspiring video I have ever watched
A great story of the human spirit. Simply outstanding.
"The only thing that can happen to me now, is victory!"
There are two basic feelings: FEAR & LOVE Conquer your FEARS, and you will LOVE what you do.
I have run many marathons and a few ultramarathons. I do crossfit 4x/week, and mountain bike when the trails are open. At 53, my body hurts. I have three herniated discs and my left knee screams at me. I broke my finger at crossfit three weeks ago and needed surgery. I can't deadlift anymore or my back goes out and I drop to the floor in really bad pain and am out for 4-5 days. Be careful training as it is easy to overdo it if your mind is built to overdo things. Stretch and yoga are your friends.
Wow....that final statement he made was so powerful
Those donuts look so good with that chocolate milkshake

2 years later. Did you actually do it?
Great accomplishment. Great commitment. So thankful for your willingness to serve our Country. 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍🙏❣.
Fantastic job. What a huge motivation.
I struggled through my early military career with 7 herniated discs, hip herniation pits, and wedged vertebrae. Following the sound of the soldier's boots in front of me. It's the hardest and somehow easiest thing I've ever had to.
I didn't make such s huge change but I went from 220 lbs to 150lbs and then trained my body further to get in my desired shape. I'm a lot stronger now mental as well as physical. My next goal is to complete a marathon (26 miles). After all that Training I can say: WORTH IT ! I even met my dreamgirl on a Party.

Your goal is almost exactly like mine, I weigh 220 and am aiming for 150 also in probably about half a year to a year to get to that weigh. But I lack the knoweledge on what I should eat every day and what I should work out on

@@2005WH food is actually easy. About 1,5g protein per kg body weight. So around 100-150g protein per day, you can eat anything but focus on plant based foods as your main meal. But also healthy bread, fish, cheese, meat. Don forget to drink 2-3L Water, tea ect (no added sugar) Sweets are useless, so eat them really rarely, but don't forget to eat your favourite Fast food from time to time, because you want to change your life for the better and not get sad, because you only ate super healthy food.
I needed this. Thank you.
