Wouldn't I have to get another controller, just worried about having a go. I would somehow have to add a dual motor switch as well. Is it possible trying to get my head around it

Hey a little off subject I have a Chinese scooter realmax st-13 8000 I took off the flooring to open up to check for loose wiring so as I moved the wiring the front small led light was cutting off and on until finally shorting out, I saw a blue loose wire that was not being used exposed it touched the metal frame causing the headlights to stay on, so I saw a little smoke come out and now my headlights won't cut off from the main switch only when I turn off the key. So do you think I burned out my light switch or does these thing have fuses or a circuit breaker I tripped?

Hey man I have the Nanrobot LS7 and I'm having an issue where the scooter will be sufficiently charged reading 66.5-63.5 volts then as I'm riding it for a span of 10 minutes it'll go from 65 volts down to 0 volts in a matter of seconds. Any idea what's happening? I tried contacting Roadrunner Scooters as well as the manufacturer but both of them have been unresponsive as of this comment. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

While in dual mode, my D4 cuts out one motor after awhile. Maybe when it gets hot. It didn't do that originally but started after maybe 2 years of use. Is that a wiring issue that can be fixed? I am not tech savvy.

Im trying to diagnose my nanobot d4+ 2.0 scooter. This problem does not happen in the cold morning on my first ride but happens in middle of day when it is warmer. Im in NM my first ride is at 50 degress and it is still about 35 degrees over night so the battery is cold on the first ride. What happens is on the second ride when its 70 degrees outside both motors cut out when I'm in dual mode and when i go full throttle, and also sometimes when i try to just accelerate quickly. when it cuts out i does not come back alive by simply backing off a little on the throttle but i have to totally go back to 0 or no throttle and then the motors start if i re-engage the throttle more gently incrementing the speed. It does not happen in single mode when in just rear hub drive. When in single mode i can press the throttle fully and as quickly as I like. If I think of the thumb throttle as a clock that goes clockwise from 12 to 6. it is at the 5 when the motors cut out. It also happens if i got from 12 to 3 very very quickly. I'm pretty techy and i can replace of fix most anything but I like to diagnose first. I did have an extra thumb throttle speed controller so i did decide to replace that (because a year ago i brew out its usb power port when making a dual charger for a camera i have) but changing that speed controller had no change in the symptoms. Do you think there is a short somewhere in the system on full power or is it a hall sensor. Is it overheating and the bms cutting out? There are two controllers in the scooter with a communication wire between them, could one of the controllers be off. Both motors shut off when this happens. What tests should i run to see where the problem is? I have opened up the scooter before because I silicone sealed everything to protect from water. but actually moved to NM where there is little rain and I do not ride it in mud or water anyway. Any help appreciated.

Your videos are super helpful man. I’ve been having a huge problem with support from Nanrobot. I bought the d5+ 2.0 for Christmas. my battery won’t charge over 2 bars. And tops out at 50.1 volts. I know nothing about this stuff. The battery that comes with it will turn green after 4 hours of charging. Per the manual that means it’s done charging right? Any help would be amazing since I’m getting nowhere with support. Any idea where I can buy another battery? Maybe it’s a bad battery? Help!!

Your welcome. So it definitely should be charging to 58v, so that probably means some cells are dead in the battery. I would keep trying to contact nanrobot and get them to send you a new battery. As far as swapping it out it is really easy. When you get to that point let me know and i can assist you if needed. Good luck and thanks foe for watching my videos.

wattsinyours I’ve thanks for the advice, if I get nowhere with them, where can I find a replacement battery? Also based on what I’ve mentioned do you think those are attributes of an over charged battery? Also say I charged it to 2 bars. If I unplug it and come back to it a week later it will have 1 bar. As in it won’t hold the charge. Is that also a component of over charging or a bad battery? Any help would mean a lot. I’d rather just replace it on my own these guys customer service sucks

@@Powerful9315 I don't think its from over charging. Ive charged mine every way but upside down and have had no problems. I think its definitely the battery. Either way i think you need a new battery pack. If you don't want to deal with nanrobot then try these guys to make you a new battery. www.litechpower.com. But keep in mind they will ask a bunch of questions. Ex: what connectors do you need? How many? male or female?, what size connectors? Xt60 or xt 90? voltage, amps, space available where the battery goes ect ect. I dont have all that info from the d5+ and to be honest its a lot of specific info. If you take the deck lid off you should be able to give them the info that they need. If you get stuck and don't know the answer let me know and i can help. The battery is going to run you about 300.00 to 500.00 but thats a guess because i don't work for them. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Nice video. Did you have any issue with your voltage controller going bad on you? Mine stopped working as I no longer get power to the front wheel... While I was troubleshooting it caused a spark (small explosion) when I disconnected the plug (power connector) between the battery and voltage controller and burnt the plug and burnt my finger 😓 .. I think the voltage controller for the front wheel is shot... and thanks for the screw driver technique to pry out the deck.

I've been lucky and haven't had any issues yet. Luckily the speed controller is inexpensive to replace. You can find them on aliexspess or alibaba but you will just have to wait on shipping times. The xt60 connectors are cheap to. You can find those at the same websites above and also on Amazon if you want them faster. The speed controllers will hold a charge because of the large capacitors they have inside them. Thats why you want to be careful plugging and unplugging them. What i do is just plug them in quickly because the spark sometimes will burn/melt your connector end and you will have to replace them.

@@rockefelleragent1357 no problem. Just be careful when you connect and solder the new connectors. Tape off and cut each wire separately and do it on a plastic lid or something simular. Could be a few thi gs happening here. I would start with checking all the wires in the deck to make sure everything is connected properly. If so them i would take an electrical meter and check the battery and if that is good, then i would start by replacing the throttle controller because it is the easiest and the cheapest to do. Then if that doesn't work then I would start replacing the speed controllers.
