My 60v26ah e-scooter battery isn't charging when it is plugged in. The light on original charger that came with scooter stays green. It has 46-70dvc output. Does this mean I need to try a stronger charger or would this be a different problem? The battery is 3 years old. no water damage - it's been stored in garage. could leaving it plugged in too long cause problems?

how do i troubleshoot a low voltage reading to the motor? I have an i-m4 Single Seat Electric Golf Buggy with a curtis controller. The programmer reading indicates only 4v going to the motor on a 36v system. I have checked all the wires from the 3 12v batteries to the controller and there is no loss. Do i have to get down to the motor and take it apart to confirm if the connection in clean?

I have a 48v 26ah pack and it had imbalace section. I got it charging then the green light come on but with I unplug the charger it falls to 38V. I plug the charger back in it shoots to 54 and stays green. I tore the battery pack open and unplugged the bms and jumper the charger straight to the battery bypassing the bms and still same result. does the 18650 have a fuse in it? it floats 54v but no current. thanks!

@Falcon, i tried to charge mine but it always stay green. Bought a new charger no difference. Checked the cables they are all in good conditions. This issue occured when i tried to speed up a hill and my electric scooter just turned off and since that event its not charging at all. It's a 60V battery but when i check with the voltage it's reading 3V now.

HarkaKiri ah ok simple, open up your battery compartment. Unplug your battery connector to the controller and plug it back in. See if there’s any life to it

@@FalconpevSg Thanks for your reply, i followed your instructions unplugged the battery connector and plug it back in. Charger stays green when i plug it in. I even bought a new charger just in case and same thing , stays green.

Probably your Electric controller unit I had an error e3 with my throttle fixed it but then connected power and display with out disconnecting battery so the 5pin connector was damaged got a new one, and now my charger when turned on flicks from red to green instantly then it’s constant green 😭😭😭what the hell have I done lol

hey dude, my charger only shows green when i plug it in the bike, and if i plug it like you shown in video just to the outlet then it does not turn green. only shows green when i plug the other end to the bike.

For some it might be the simple problem of not inserting the charger correct if look in the charger while you’ll notice a strip and on the charger they’ll be a slit as well just insert the charger according to both slits at lest this worked for me

Hello. I need help. I have a zero 9 scooter that won't take a charge. My scooter sat for awhile without use and the battery dropped to 21.6V, I removed it and had it checked out and the technician was able to charge it up to 51V. I took it for a ride and when I tried to charge it the charger stayed green. The battery is reading at 46.3V currently and the screen shows the battery is halfway. I tested the charger itself and is pushing out 54.6V which tells me the charger is fine. When I plug the charger to the scooter it turns green showing me that the battery is powering the charger, then when I plug it into the wall outlet it just stays green when it should be red. I tried your video and opened up the scooter again to try and find the fuse, but I don't see one. I've tried to research it and can't seem to find any information on whether or not this Zero 9 has a fuse. Please kindly provide some insights below to help determine the problem and how to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you! 1. Do you know if my scooter has a fuse? 2. If so where is it located? 3. Is there a reset button to reboot the scooter? 4. What could be the issue it won't take charge when I witnessed it first hand take on a charge when the technician attached his battery charger to increase the BMS to 51V?

If the charger is working also check the fuse in the 13 amp plug.

Just had an 58 volt battery for a tiller that would not charge. Because it had drained so low the charger just would not charge it. Ordered a new battery and charger-just to be safe if it was the charger. When the new battery came in hooked it up to the old charger and it charged the new battery. Then connected new battery to the old battery in parallel. It brought the old battery up enough for the charger to "see" it and now the old battery is charging with the old charger. I think I am going to return the new battery and charger

What a quick response thank you. I guess I don’t see where I would connect it. Like the bottom where the slits are that connect to the bike? It’s an ebike battery so I don’t even know where the terminals are

My scooter charges but very slow. Used to take 6hrs full charge now even after 24hrs its still not fully charged

If you don’t have the proper connectors for the battery to the charger can you remove both and straight wire?

Thanks for sharing. Need help: T113 Scooter when charge it only goes 1 green light and when crack motor starts and display and motor dies. Charger is fine, out putting 66 V all the way to batt. I couldn't find any shorts. No lights no horn. Battery reads 66 V in my multi meter. I reset display, unlock with remote key, and same problem. Any ideas? I will appreciate. Battery is 18 months old. Could it be it went bad out of the sudden? (No errors in display either). Thanks

@@HarkaKiri Well that was my problem, caused by a short circuit in one of the lights. The fix: I replaced the Display/Throttle and done. I bought it direct from FLJ Aliexpress www.aliexpress.com/store/1832188 Before I checked with FLJ to get the right part. Let me know if you have other problems. Stay safe

The common issue is: Led has green light (supposedly to be charged) but your electric scooter has only charged to 50-52v (54.6v max). Today i had this problem again on my M4 Pro ( had the same issue on my M4). Need to get a new charger

This is such a common problem after 3-4+ years and I'm confident a majority of these batteries could be repaired. Sometimes I wonder about product planned obsolescence in the firmware.. who knows hehe

sometimes the bms used in these batteries are not smart enough to sense undervoltage and shut off the sysrtem and these scooters have many active discharge devices that continues to drain power even if the scooter is turned off

Hello ,I didn't use my ebike very often its a 36 volts 10 amps lithium battery pack .When it's charger is connected to it a clicking sound is heard from the charger at 2 seconds interval while a green light is always on and red light never displayed. It never take charge. Do I need to charge it with a higher voltage charger?(it's original chargers specification is 100-240 volts ac 1.8 amps. Output 42 volts DC 2 amps).If I need to charge it with a higher voltage charger please specify what kind of charger can I use,thankyou !

I recharge my zero8 battery at one green bar on the display. That recharge gives me a range of 15-18 miles with few hills, mostly speed level two,and 165 lbs. person. This video is good about hooking up your charger the right way- the Zero8/9/10/10 x manual doesn't give info about the red/ green charger lights. Thanks for this video- I. wish I had seen this before my first( failed) attempt at charging my battery!

Here's a question that has confused me. My battery charged up in 30 minutes. I drove down only 10 townhouses and my battery quickly went down to 1/2 then dropped to zero. (Maybe 1 minute of use) Is my battery fried? My charger shows me when my battery is empty, 1/2 charged and full. It was full when I took it off of the charger. My battery also showed the same being a full charge. It was cool outside but not freezing. Do I need to replace my battery? Thanks for any help!

Lavender Rainbow firstly determine the voltage that your battery has when at full charge. 2. Determine the voltage your battery is at when it shuts down. 3. We can determine if your battery needs changing with these info

@@darvida95 it's called voltage sag. It's when your batteries chemistry is lagging behind the output. Totally normal.

Mantis I've got mantis I've had since January I went to ride one morning and it wouldn't come on the battery is very good always charged never really drained just won't turn on won't charge and I know the night before it was 2/3 still full I contacted the seller it's under warrantee the catch is I have to pay for shipping both ways 150 they are sending me a new controller which I don't know if it will work you think I should just pay the shipping or is there something I can do to check to see if it is indeed the controller?

No you shouldn’t have to pay the shipping since it’s only been 3 months. They should send it to you for free. It’s not right to sell you something to only work for 3 months

you may need to get either a fast charger or a higher voltage charger to wake up the battery. If nothing else, try to unplug and plug the battery back. see if it will wake up the battery.

This is my one. Input Ac100-240v 50/60Hz 3.0A max Output :Dc.54. 6v - 1.5A that's my one maybe it's like yours because yours is of the same family 😊

My charger is green but it's flashing when it's not in the battery could this be a fault with the charger

Friend asked me to look at his and bypass the switch (calm down folks.. I'm hear first) he rides it all year round and is a necessity. Said he never turns it off, from bike to either backpack or charger again never being shut off... Said it went dead and wont take a charge.. He handed it to me w the switch removed I do know a little bout electronic and do know how to solder and I've always had a knack for building and repairing things . he can't afford another one right away. So if it all possible this one needs to come back to life it sounds more to me like it needs reset then the switch that's never used replaced or worse bypassed. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated - preferably from an experienced technician I've never worked on an e-bike battery before...

So if had my scooter 2 year 52v 18ah dual 800watt moters and is not as farst or charge larst so iv just got a 60v 24.5ah now from a friend can I just unplug my 1 and plug new 1 in everything gona be ok

I need help, I built an e-bike the battery I bought came with two lines (obviously) the Controller connection and the charger connection, the problem is, They DIDN’T LABEL which one is which, how do I tell which line is charge and which is controller? One has an XT60 plug female and the other a Tplug female plug, Like wtf? Why not one charge and one controller?

That means your battery has a problems the charger is turning red not because it is full charge but because the battery cannot take on any more charge

Try to take the battery out and disconnecting the battery connectors. Plug and connectors back in and see if the unit turns on?

hi my charger seemed to be dead (no light at anytime) but when I got the new charger there was a green light on the new charger when just plugged into the mains but when I plugged into scooter the light turns off (no red light)

Jenna Kash no you can’t use a car booster. You need to measure the voltage and charge it up

@@FalconpevSg hi thank you for your reply, when I plug it its red, then after 30 minutes to an hour its green, then the voltage meter reads 55.7V

Briggs Yalung that’s too Low. Full charge is 58.8V

@@FalconpevSg yes its suppose to be 58.8. Do you think battery is damaged already? I had this unit since december.last year, I only ran about 108Km.

I have a ion armada e bike. It appeared that the kill switch had a short. Which it was fixed. But it's happened again. My scooter s dead. And no one in this town to fix it. Why is there no manual it's lead batts 500 w. 3 speed. Please help

battery is old, you need to change it. Because the battery has low voltage, the current pulled is too much for the kill switch to handle.

@@FalconpevSg actually that wasn't the problem. My kill switch on my armada ion torque keeps flicking to off and it then blows the charger. So I noticed That it needed to be turned back to on. And it works again. I'm unsure as to why

Hi, nice video, thanks. My scooter is dead no power. Plug PSU in and it turns on but does not charge. Charger shows the scooter as charged (light turns green within 1 minute). I stripped the battery pack down and found 30 cells. 27 show 4.2v and 3 cells show 2.0 to 2.5. Are these cells finished? and can these cells be causing the entire issue?

Yes, apparently they can! Just one or two bad cells can cause these issues. Switch out bad cells and you should be fine.

I got brand new batteries and they don't stay charged very long .maybe ten mins.charger seems to be good.i have 2 and it's the same for both.im so frustrated.

What happens when its green when i plug it in, then when i plug the battery to charge it turns off

Hi guys, my Zero 8 V2 scooter is more than year now and its odo is about 3400+km. However I notice that its full charge is only up to 53.6V and the scooter will die at 48V before reaching its minimum cutoff. I would like to ask, it is time to replace the whole battery or can I still have the battery for rebalancing? hoping for your reply.

Rebalancing may not be worth the effort. It takes a lot of time to do the rebalancing. Might want to consider a new battery

my scooter charges to 2 bars out of 5, does this now, suddenly, the charger turns red when I plug it in then green after a while. Is it the battery, the charger or the controller?

It’s the battery.

Mine takes 24 volts and I use a 42 volt charger I’m lost it just stays green and it’s been doing this for hours

Hello bro can you help me .my inokim scooter when i plug the charger then i press the power button it will turn on but when i removed from charge it will turn off even if i press long the power button it will not open? Whatvits the issue? Please help..thanks

You might need a new battery, my inokim power goes off when it is charged and doesn't come back on.

No it's not designed for the extra volts

Please help me I can’t unscrew the Allen key type bolts to open up the underneath plate to get to the battery they are sooo tight I even put in Allen key and had to use a hammer to hit and move them. What Do I need to remove them? My escooter got wet and now won’t start. Can anyone help suggest how I get the battery plate off please?

Take them to a machine shop in your area. They have the tools to do it. My boyfriend had to do that and even they had trouble but they eventually got it. Also, the difficulty of unscrewing any scooter parts is intentional. It's to ensure that nothing falls apart when you're riding and so the brand/company of your scooter won't be held liable.

ARE YOU SAYING AS SOON AS THE CHARGER GOES RED, TO TAKE IT OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE EVEN IF MY BATTERY IS FLAT,ISNT IT MEANT TO GO RED TO INDICATE ITS RECHARGING THE BATTERY? OR AM I MISTAKEN.

T trojanisheretostay he's only using the high volt battery just like jumping cables for a car. he put a high voltage charger that was different from his lower volt battery. Now he did that just to wake the battery up but keeping the high voltage battery in charging would explode because again that charger has more power than the scooter can take. So he unpluged it. After that hes saying go ahead and use your regular lower voltage charger to fully recharge the unit.

My battery charger is always grey so does mean it’s broken?

What if the charger still shows red?

Charging after few hours still shows red could mean charger issue or battery related issue :) Best to consult your nearest dealer for assist! :)

Only had my emove Cruiser for three weeks and now the charger stays green when charging. But prior to that the charger would flash red and green.
