You don’t seriously believe she’s gonna post anything until at least the end of march lol If you kept up with her on Twitter and stuff, you knew she repeatedly lied about her sobriety for over a year and a half when she was actually using and now claims to be a couple months sober again, when she more than likely isn’t and there’s been multiple signs that she’s still on drugs again…

He was doing everything he could to find an instance where it might be plausible. Fortunately he believed her that she really did give birth to her other child.

This is honestly depressing, I remember being like 13 and finding your channel when you still had the videos that are now deleted. Watching someone you looked up to ignore everyone telling them they’re in a bad situation, get hooked on drugs and lie about everything they do on social media is just sad. Hello! I hate to be a bearer of bad news- I was equally excited to learn of this combination a day genealogy fascinated person (albeit primarily humans, but I digress) Unfortunate, Taylor is not relaying accurate information regarding chimeras. Gemini is a paradox which is essentially “two patterns at once.” Clints reptiles is a herptologist and has a PhD and has notified of this Taylor in the past which is actually concerning that she is continuing to exhibit Gemini as a chimera. Gemini is gorgeous and a noteworthy, admirable, rare pattern. But he is not a chimera. Paradox are easily identified by their pattern and sadly frequently marketed as a chimera. I used to look up to Taylor as an expert in husbandry and animal care. Sadly, this video is an additional resource as to why that’s simply not true.

Gemini looks more like he has the pigmentation mosaicism? You can see his pattern continuing onto the more muted side rather than completely different patterns on each side. Either way he’s a beautiful snake!

Your ball python is a Paradox, have you actually tested DNA from both ‘sides’ to prove that theory? Paradox is a random somatic mutation, in ball pythons that means for some reason random portions of the snake’s morph are ‘turned off’ and it is not an actual morph, which goes the same for Chimerism, when 2 separate eggs fuse together and one usually engulfs the other, one major sign your snake isn’t a true Chimera is that the pattern is exactly the same even where the ‘color’ differs, it’s VERY very unlikely for 2 separate eggs to somehow produce identical twin snakes, because even the same morph snake wouldn’t have identical patterning otherwise. Paradox and Chimera do look very similar, but actually the ‘split perfectly down the middle of the face’ markings are almost always Paradox and not a true Chimera, for ball pythons at least. Not to say Paradox aren’t totally unique, and cost a hefty price themselves, but just wanted to try to help spread that information!

I had a horse that had something similar. He had absorbed his twin in the womb. The ‘twin’ was located in his temple, left side. If it were anywhere else he would have lived a long healthy life. He had 2 surgeries to remove the tracts in his head, unfortunately with no long term success. At that point we didn’t know exactly what we were dealing with. It wasn’t until we had to let him go, after the necropsy the surgical clinic contacted us to let us know about the twin. They had never seen anything like it.

He's absolutely fascinating, no matter the cause of his pattern! Chimerism is a perfectly possible explanation, but I find mosaicism slighty more likely, in this case. Just because to get this split perfectly down the middle along the entire body, two embryos would have to fuse at exactly the same developmental stage (also very early during development) and then each form one perfect half of the animal. It's possible, but unlikely. As you see in cats, while their face might be split in the middle, but not the full body. It's more likely to result in the tortoiseshell pattern or single patches, if it affects the pigmentation at all. What I think is more likely for Gemini is that when he was in the two-cell stage, right after the first cell division of the zygote, a gene that codes for pigmentation switched off in one of the cells, so the gene was switched on in one cell, off in the other, and these cells continued to form either half of him. But again, it's rare and beautiful either way! Nature truly is wild.

I’ll never forget when I actually saw Gemini on Morph Market and couldn’t stop staring at him! 😍 Being a normal person, of course I couldn’t afford him. 😂 But I’m glad that I can continue to see updates on him!

Click to read this comment if you believe you learned something from the video. Because the information in this video is 100% wrong. A Chimera occurs when two developing embryos merge into one. And you know how embryos turn into a baby? They replicate. A lot. This means cells from embryo A and cells from embryo B get all mixed together. They don't stay on their own "side" of an embryo and become half and half. So you don't get a half and half cat. In fact, a cat with the face portrayed in the video is a sure sign its not a Chimera. It's just a tortie who was lucky enough to have face markings like that. A true Chimera would be, for example, a tabbie cat with tortie spots. Or a cat with patches of long hair and patches of short hair. While the snake is very cool, the likelihood of it being a Chimera is basically 0. It doesn't have the correct pattern. So unlearn what is in the video and look up chimerism yourself to see example patterns and how the cell replication works.

If you're referring to the fact that the patterns are the same on both sides (I'm assuming that's what you meant since some comments are saying the same) then I don't think that's true. Gemini has actually very different patterns, maybe on the video it isn't that clear but just go look up some of his pictures online, you can clearly see that he has two distinct patterns. On top of that, I believe Taylor knows more than us since she's the owner, she certainly did research and even said that they did biopsy on him and the DNAs turned out to be different. I'm not saying that you wrote is wrong, this was just about the last part of the comment.

My cousin literally has a “birthmark” like the woman, that keeps growing and growing and now I’m not sure what it is, it goes from her foot, which is closer to her skin color, but then up near her thigh/lower stomach area it gets a bit darker, then when she got a little older there was a lighter split part from her upper stomach to her face, which is insane, btw it is split right down the center.

I have been fascinated by this topic, especially in humans since the Fairchild case back in the early 2000's. The one where a mom was charged with fraud by her state for applying for assistance and her children's dna not matching her own. She was pregnant with her 3rd and a court officer was ordered to watch the birth and testing of new baby and mom. Yep, same results and judge still didn't believe it. The unmitigated gall! Eventually they found the matching dna in her cervix, I think. Fetus in fetu is another fascinating subject regarding twin's gone wrong. BTW, as a Gemini, I'm loving the name. ❤
