I know this video was weird as all heck. Kronos gave it his best effort ok 😂 Gotta put some safety disclaimers here as usual because i know some people worry a lot about what goes on behind the scenes in animal videos, so this is just to ease those concerns: He was not too stressed at any point in this video. He was NERVOUS at first as it was a new environment. But I carefully watched his breathing and mannerisms throughout the video. When a monitor is stressed or upset they will puff up and become extremely defensive. I would not be able to even film him, he would be extremely visibly angry. Also keep in mind he ate outside, which means he had to be comfortable and not stressed! Just wanted to make sure I made it clear that even though I make commentary that made the video more humorous, that I was not actually “annoyed” at him at all and let everything happen at his own pace. Editing took so long cause I just sat there and let him do everything his own pace and it was over a much longer period of time than this video was edited down to. Last disclaimer: this is after a year of working excessively with my monitor. Monitors are very powerful lizards and can severely harm younger children and people who haven’t learned how to handle them. I was fortunate in having a lot of people help me when I first got him and spent a LOT of my time taming him down. Just because he came off as cute and sweet in this video does not mean all monitors naturally are that way. This is after a lot of work with him. And there still are days I can’t handle him if he isn’t in the mood. They can severely hurt you and I find it best to warn y’all about that so I don’t “encourage” someone to get a monitor without knowing this. Anyways I love you guys!! So much. AxisDens drugs don’t change who a person is, they alter the perceptions of the user and the people around them. Anyone can shut off their mind for a few minutes to turn on camera and just be a normal.

Yeah, it seems like most people think addicts are selfish and can't do or take care of anything. I've never been addicted to any substance, but I have anorexia which has a lot of similarities. At my worst I put everything around me before myself and managed to keep up the facade until I was too weak to get out of bed. I don't think most addicts have the self esteem or self worth to care about themselves anyway, so I find it kind of insulting when people say things like "they must be neglectful to their animals because they can't even take care of themselves". Not caring about yourself doesn't mean you don't care about others.

It’s crazy to see the difference in your speech and mood between here and when you are clean and sober! Looking forward to see your recovery

I'm a recovering addict myself and I could definitely see the signs still from her but I didn't want to say anything because she didnt address it so I didn't want to come off like I was making assumptions . Glad she is getting the help she needs. Praying for her.

yep, shot up right after filming and right before. tried really hard to act upbeat to mask it. you truly never know who's silently struggling. i wore wigs so much bc i never showered or cleaned my hair lol.

she went to rehab and now is clean and sober. that’s why she recently left social media and youtube. she has recently talked about it on her instagram though. 30 days sober and i’m proud of her because it takes a lot of work to stay sober.

I'm totally behind in this vid and commenting, but yeah- hides and plants that flow downwards providing cover and things to climb on would be a good idea- they have places that feel secure to start off with when put out there- and then as they remember nothing is going to swoop down and eat them, they'll walk around a bit more confidently. Definitely a place they should gain confidence in pretty quickly, especially since monitors tend to be the more... intelligent of most reptiles. Not that others are stupid- but monitors are really good at problem solving and taking actions that lean more towards some ability to logic a situation out- rather than just be more instinct and reflex oriented!

It hits you hard, and it really hits hard when I was so oblivious to her unusual behaviour when watching this video, I guess I never really suspected anything when watching it, but now, I can totally see her change in personality. Congratulations on getting sober, and being sober for two months, that really is an achievement, and I can imagine how proud you are knowing you've reached your two month milestone. I just wanted you to know that I and so many other people still admire you so much and love you even though you're not perfect. You don't have to be perfect. That swollen left hand...I remember the days mine looked the same. 😞 So happy for Taylor, living a sober life today and seeing all the beauty that comes with it! 🌅

Now looking back on these videos i can see the behaviour difference from when you first started out...yes I've been here a long time 😂

The first thing I thought upon seeing the atrium was "you could have like 3 turtles in there" Next was "big ol snek home" And then I started thinking about gardening and stuff cause I really like plants.

When Roughnecks are scared, and they can't run, for some reason(temps?) Then their next move is to hold very still. And at that size, the cat will inflict far more damage than the lizard will, especially as cold as it is....monitors recognize cats as danger until they hit 4-4.5 feet and even then they much like them. As for your atrium, put a bunch of big plants in there, and then set up a couple high temp basking spots

I am so proud of you Taylor. You got so clean and sober and I am very proud of you for doing that. You have made an inperation to people who have addictions and got sober!

I'm so glad you got the help you needed and broke up with that jerk. I know it'll be tough and a lot of people won't be the kindest in your recovery but know that there are still a lot of us who will support you on your journey! Wishing you the best for you and all your animals!!❤
